Song choices were great some I hadn’t heard before. The band was also soooo good. I attended with my husband, son and his girlfriend. We all loved it. Can’t wait to see them again on a girls night. Thank you so much!
This concert had me excited from start to finish. They choose great Prince songs to sing. They were funny, and good! It's as if you had really good friends put on a show for you because you all love Prince so much.
This is the best show honoring the royal purple prince. Far more fun than I ever experienced but they remind everyone they only go thru 1983 albums or was it 1985. Probably 1983. Great fun
Best show ever! Always a great fan of Prince, he's the best right? Great to see Princess carrying on the love and the music.
One of the best shows I've ever been to! Nothing but fun and love and joy.
Dont be fooled. Gretchen and Maya's show is NOT a joke; they take it very seriously, and its an absolute joy to hear Prince's songs played with such reverence.
this concert was like watching your mom & her drunk friend karaoke in the living room. I think they made up the dance moves in their garage over a glass of wine. No choreography. Painful to watch. The songs they chose to perform were mostly weird, random B-sides or old, little-know Prince songs with not much beat or interest. This spectacle lost all interest after the first song, if not sooner. There also was not much commentary or dialog from Maya who ought to know that we're only there because she's a celeb comedian. Please talk to the audience more or try to add some comedy.
Love Neptune Love performers and music selection Sound system not as good as it should have been, but if you like Prince and Maya must see performance
Prince tribute group "Princess", led by Maya Rudolph & Gretchen Leiberum, along with their own version of "The Revolution", put on a fantastic revue of some of The Artist's earliest hits. The electrifying set included album versions and extended mixes of titles from 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, and more. The crowd went absolutely bonkers from the moment they set foot on stage, through the 2 encore songs (which they'd earlier said they weren't doing, but did). I knew they were going to be good, but I didn't know they were going to be THAT good. To see a group so powerfully portray these songs, down to every clap, scream and drum machine beat, was an experience I look forward to having again and again. Thank you, Princess, for doing Prince so, so right.
This was the perfect antidote to the night before inauguration 2017! Maya and Gretchen are awesome performers, with jokes and earnest energy. They don't play the mainstream Prince songs, but even if you don't know the words, you're all in.
Maya and Gretchen were awesome... not only did they sound GREAT singing Prince songs, the band was awesome too. the energy between them all was fun and very upbeat. They really interacted with the crowd in a fun way also, stopping to talk to us, talk about Prince and how important it is to keep his legacy and memory alive. I seriously can't wait to see them again. They really made the songs fun and my friends and I had a blast dancing in the standing only crowd.
Both Maya and Gretchen gave a great performance as "Princess" . Guitar riffs were not anything near Princes but alas nothing will ever be. They embodied fun and sexy funk and rock. We enjoyed the evening.
Amazing show. They nailed it. Great music, great performances and a thoughtful tribute.
