The show it self was very entertaining and we learned some things about Marvin Gaye I had not known. And some incredible singers played the various parts. Thoroughly enjoyable.
BUT, unlike any other play or musical I have attended (Broadway or other places), the audience acted more like it was an outdoor concert rather than an indoor play. People were talking all around us during the entire performance and most disturbingly, there were folks all over the auditorium who felt it was OK to get up any time and leave and return, disturbing anyone who might be around them. It continued during the entire performance, which took away a lot of our enjoyment.
Given that has never happened in any other venue, I'm confused why it was allowed to occur in this one. I would give the show 3.5 stars but the overall experience 1.5 stars
