Preacher Lawson on Tour
Exuberant and hilarious, Preacher Lawson is the kind of performer whose energy cannot be contained by any stage, and that includes America's Got Talent. In 2017, television's most popular talent contest transformed Lawson into comedy's next superstar, introducing him to the wider audience he's deserved since he first began making fans in his hometowns of Memphis and Orlando.
Lawson's reputation is based on his smartly crafted material, unabashedly physical sense of humor, and flair for impressions (his high-spirited pastor character is vivid proof of that). He continues to make the same impact on audiences that he did on viewers and judges when he was a Top Ten finalist for America's Got Talent Season 12. He also finished fifth when he returned for America's Got Talent: The Champions in early 2019.

Even in the brief audition that was the first step toward his breakout on America's Got Talent, Preacher Lawson's comedy skills were readily apparent to TV's most famous judges. "Preacher, can I get just one more joke?" asked a new fan by the name of Simon Cowell, who also called him "unbelievably talented." Comedy legend Howie Mandel was quick to agree.
Lawson's TV breakout was a welcome achievement for a comedian who's been working hard to perfect his craft ever since he made his performance debut at the age of 17 at an open mic night at the University of Memphis in Tennessee. After establishing himself in Orlando's comedy scene, he won the Funniest Comedian in Florida in 2015 before earning top honors in the Seattle International Comedy Competition the following year.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lawson continues to tour nationwide while adding to a list of high-profile TV appearances that includes Last Call with Carson Daly, Inside Joke with Asif Ali, and Coming to the Stage, along with his star turns on America's Got Talent. Viewers also can see Lawson put his unique spin on travel, cooking, and more on his YouTube channel, which now has nearly 250,000 subscribers.
A great evening, tremendous delivery of humor, current issues and just down right funny stuff. I appreciated the fact that there wasn't swearing and points were made with candor and of course his facial expressions as well as his whole self !! Didn't care for the venue. We can do better for Preacher next time he visits Da Boo K...
First saw Preacher Lawson on America's Got Talent tv show. He is one funny guy! My wife and I went to his show in Dubuque, Iowa and had a great time. He did some of his regular material but had great fresh material as well. I can see him going far and maybe even movies. His brother, Justin, was also very funny. TV sitcom? Maybe!!!
Preacher Lawson did not disappoint. He was hilarious the entire show. The opening act was his brother Justin and he was great also. Would see Preacher again!!
Preacher and Justin were absolutely awesome. Have seen Preacher before and he didn't disappoint. Would definitely recommend and would go again. The venue was nicely set up not a bad view anywhere, and the staff was very courteous.
Preacher is very funny and super animated. I was crying from laughter. I already started looking to see if he would be back to Michigan...
20 Monroe Live is a great venue. Preacher Lawson kept the audience laughing throughout his routine. Best comedian I have seen in quite awhile!
Great venue to see an event. Loved Preacher on AGT and said if he ever came around, I'd go see him. Have been to 20 Monroe Live and pleased he was performing there. Staff is excellent, very kind and helpful. Anticipating going again for other concerts.
I LOVED preacher Lawson!! He made me night! I loved how he took selfies with us all afterwards! He was so sweet! I was truly “star struck”!!! Best night of my life! Fun and clean atmosphere!!!

Preacher Lawson put on a great set! No complaints about his performance at all. I appreciated how he took photos with anyone who wanted one and didn't charge for them. My only complaint is with the venue. The Egyptian Room was a beautiful space, but the chairs they use are awful. People are basically sitting on top of each other because the chairs are a bit narrow to begin and they are chained together to prevent people from spacing out. You get more personal space on an airplane. The woman next to our group took up her chair and most of mine. I understand trying to fit more people into the space to sell more tickets, but... just make more rows and space the seats out.
Preacher Lawson put on a great show. Not only was he hilarious, but he engaged with the audience. I laughed so much that my face hurt!
From start to finish i had an amazing experience. Parking was easy to find. I had help finding my seat with ease. When the show started with the first comedian I was laughing. Preacher had two openers who were both funny. When Preacher got on stage I was laughing from the time he started to the time he finished. His jokes were well written and energy high. It is alwways nice to find a comedian that is clean. Preacher was so nice to stayand take pictures with anyone who wanted to wait. The line for meeting him went smoothly. I would recommend this to all fans of comedy.
First of all the show was on time and the two comedians that were in the pre-show were really funny. Now, Mr. Preacher was HILARIOUS!!! Joke after joke the whole auditorium was cracking up, it was hard for me to catch a breath in between jokes. He did not use any profanities, because he just didn't have to to be funny and he managed to cover a wide rage of topics from his personal life and society. Highly recommend Preacher's Show, he's something else :-)
Preacher was amazing! His comedy is clean and just plain hysterical. He's a physical comedian but not over the top. Stopping to call out people in the audience showed his flexibility and his genuine humor, not just his "stage" humor. Go see him. You will not regret it!
Preacher Lawson was incredibly funny!! I love that he opened up the end if the show for questions, and stayed for pictures and autographs...class act! Would see him again in a heartbeat!!
What can I say? You go in expecting someone to be funny, and sometimes they disappoint. This time, however, Preacher Lawson did NOT disappoint!! He was so funny. I did miss a few jokes because the whole audience was still laughing from previous jokes that I was not able to hear some over the laughter. I think it was a bargain for the price of tickets. Definitely a must see.
My girlfriend and I knew Preacher would be funny, but he exceeded all our expectations. Tons of laughter going on in the theater that night. He was nice enough to hang around afterwards so people could get pictures with him too.
Our family attended the Preacher Lawson show on March 21, 2019. He is absolutely fantastic!!! He provided non stop comedy, even when he had to take a moment to catch his breath. Preacher took time to answer questions after his performance was over, stated he would meet and greet with everyone outside in the lobby and took selfies with those who desired one. Preacher is a very humble and down to earth person. We really enjoyed his performance. It was wonderful to meet a celebrity who truly cares about his audience.
Preacher was fantastic! It was great to see a hilarious comedian and share the experience with my teen and my elderly mother. Clean comics are a gem these days! The facility was in great shape, as well. My only complaint was that the show was too short!
Great opening acts, good use of time, high energy, very funny and would like to see him again in the future!
