Preacher Lawson on Tour
Exuberant and hilarious, Preacher Lawson is the kind of performer whose energy cannot be contained by any stage, and that includes America's Got Talent. In 2017, television's most popular talent contest transformed Lawson into comedy's next superstar, introducing him to the wider audience he's deserved since he first began making fans in his hometowns of Memphis and Orlando.
Lawson's reputation is based on his smartly crafted material, unabashedly physical sense of humor, and flair for impressions (his high-spirited pastor character is vivid proof of that). He continues to make the same impact on audiences that he did on viewers and judges when he was a Top Ten finalist for America's Got Talent Season 12. He also finished fifth when he returned for America's Got Talent: The Champions in early 2019.
Audiences can catch Lawson in clubs and theaters across the U.S. and Canada.
Preacher Lawson Background
Even in the brief audition that was the first step toward his breakout on America's Got Talent, Preacher Lawson's comedy skills were readily apparent to TV's most famous judges. "Preacher, can I get just one more joke?" asked a new fan by the name of Simon Cowell, who also called him "unbelievably talented." Comedy legend Howie Mandel was quick to agree.
Lawson's TV breakout was a welcome achievement for a comedian who's been working hard to perfect his craft ever since he made his performance debut at the age of 17 at an open mic night at the University of Memphis in Tennessee. After establishing himself in Orlando's comedy scene, he won the Funniest Comedian in Florida in 2015 before earning top honors in the Seattle International Comedy Competition the following year.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lawson continues to tour nationwide while adding to a list of high-profile TV appearances that includes Last Call with Carson Daly, Inside Joke with Asif Ali, and Coming to the Stage, along with his star turns on America's Got Talent. Viewers also can see Lawson put his unique spin on travel, cooking, and more on his YouTube channel, which now has nearly 250,000 subscribers.

Preacher Lawson - and his brother, gifted us with a great evening of comedy! Of course, his show has more 'edge' to it that we saw on America's Got Talent. . .but there were young children in the audience - including my nine year old Grandson, and I would give it a PG+ rating. Preacher played off the audience. . .even a couple who obviously weren't 'fans' and keep the vast majority of us 'in stitches' and constantly laughing. A 'shout out' to his brother - who opened the evening. He also has a future in Comedy and it's great to see Preacher touring with his brother to help him get the exposure he deserves. Great show, 'cheap' night of entertainment (compared to a lot of current concert tickets) and a GREAT opportunity to see an rising star in standup comedy 'strut his stuff'. Be prepared to laugh until it hurts.
Justin Lawson opened... he was hilarious!! Great start to the show. Preacher Lawson was high energy and on a roll! Loved the show and so glad we went. Totally worth it!
Great show!! Preacher was great on AGT, so we wanted to see him live. We really enjoyed it...laughed non-stop. Anyone who hasn’t seen Preacher yet should. His brother’s opening act was really goo too!! This was the highlight of a great Mother’s Day weekend!!
Preacher kept us laughing the whole show and had great stories to tell. It was refreshing to see that it was 100% clean with no profanity at all. His brother led off the show and was awesome as well. Great entertainment at a great price!
Opening act by his brother was funny & fabulous. Preacher Lawson was better than seeing him on TV. Show was just as expected & definitely see him again. Never laughed so hard. He was very personable after show & love the T-shirt.
The show started out with Preacher's brother on stage, He, too, is a comedian, and a very funny one at that. Then the always energetic Preacher hit the stage and it was laughs for an hour. When he returns to our area, we will definitely see him again.
It was Great! I took my mom for Mother's Day. Preacher Lawson was hilarious!
Preacher Lawson and his brother Justin Lawson are outstanding performers! They were both so humble and HILARIOUS! We were able to get pictures with both and get both of their signatures. 10/10 would recommend!
He was so funny, best of luck to the rising star! Will see him again someday I'm sure!
He is, hands down, the funniest human being on the planet! Laughed so hard! My arm hurt because my daughter sitting next to me kept laughing and punching me! Best show EVER!
Preacher Lawson was very talented in comedy, his persona is infectious that will make you laugh out loud! The only constructive criticism I could share is, he has to reach out to more walks of life especially to international audience like me. Some of his skits are either not clear or not relatable. Nevertheless, if given a chance still go see him, for me it’s a good show not great!
Show was fantastic. His brother Justin opened and he was hilarious as well! The energy Preacher has leaves me exhausted!
We first saw Preacher on AGT. Laughed out butts off! So when we saw he was coming to KnoxVegas, we quickly scooped up tickets! He did not disappoint. Great energy, new jokes, lots of natural and funny improv. Preacher is a great guy, ready for the next level! Our favorite joke was when God was frustrated with Jesus. “Jesus...Jesus!!!” We all died laughing! Worth every penny, and it was good to laugh like that for everyone in the room!
Preacher is fantastic. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. His brother opens for him and is very funny himself. It was good clean fun!
I've seen Preacher on America's Got Talent and he's very funny. It wasn't raunchy, just the right kind of comedy. Hope he comes back to Knoxville in the future.
Preacher was extremely funny and put on a really good show. The only downfall to the show I attended was that it started at 10:30pm. It was very late and I thought I was going to fall asleep. Some jokes were repeated from AGT but other than that it was an incredible performance!
Seats were great, lighting, volume, venue temperature all perfect. Preacher tho was hilarious!! One of many great shows I've seen!!
Great evening at the Bijou!! Incredibly funny comedian, put on an awesome show!!!!
Preacher did NOT disappoint! We were fans from the minute we saw him on America's Got Talent and his live show was just as funny as we hoped. He was family friendly enough that I could bring my 12 year old daughter and our cheeks and stomachs hurt from laughing. HILARIOUS!!!
