    Unforgettable

by Dawnja on 11/29/09Rose Garden - Portland

We had a blast! My son took his good friend who has never been to a hockey game before which he will never forget. It was the Teddy Bear Toss which we had never been to and my sons friend got a hockey puck, a hat and a bear that he is keeping for keepsakes. ;-) I really liked it as well as the new blow up hawk that was very cool! There was so much excitement, croud involvement and the digital displays that enhanced the experience as well. Go Hawks!!!!

    Anthems & Teddy Bears

    by petey3 on 11/29/09Rose Garden - Portland

The Winterhawks vs. Seattle game started with the most amazing young lady singing the National Anthem, she rocked the Rose Garden! About a minute later after the Hawks scored their first goal, thrown from the rafters and below were hundreds--make that thousands-of teddy bears being donated to children's charities. What an incredible display of generosity. Cap that off with a great win by the Hawks and the evening was complete.

Portland Winterhawks vs Seattle Thunderbirds 11/28

by chefdude on 11/29/09Rose Garden - Portland

...we're big fans of the winterhawks and go to as many home games as possible. we tried to go to see the winterhawks vs seattle the night before in Kent, WA, but the Sho Ware Center is in the middle of nowhere. we couldnt get there and back to our hotel in seattle without a $50 cab ride(each way!). we love going to the games. the crowd is really into the games, and the winterhawks seem to be doing much better this year; making the games more exciting! there are some great players out there to watch too. #22, #16, #12 all playing hard. its just good hockey. the teddy bear toss is amazing to be apart of as well, i think it brings out a different crowd than most nights, but they see how passionate the fans are and the players play. im sure more people are drawn in by that electrifing energy.

The Winterhawks were amazing, what a grate game. We had awsome seats. The fans were super with all the teddy bears that hit the ice.

Winter Hawks game was not worth the money

by Anonymous on 11/17/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I dont think that i'll be going to another hawks game anytime soon. the beer and food were way over priced. A pretzel with cheese is $7.50, and a beer was the same price. the refferee's broke up all the fights so, there was only one. in my experience, i can think of better things to spend my money on.

Not bad for a bunch of 17 year olds.

by Dioxide12 on 11/16/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

If you're expecting NHL or minor-pro skill, you'll be dissapointed. But if you want to see some decent kids playing hockey, it's definitely the biggest show in town. I had fun, and will most likely go again. Shame I'm such an old fogie at 30 years old, or I'd try out for the team and show those kids a thing or two. It is EXTREMELY affordable, and the concessions and souvenirs were even reasonably priced. Great family fun!

    Winterhawks vs. Kelowna

by Sweetses on 11/15/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

What a great game. The Winterhawks are back and it is exciting. They have great offensive and defensive moves and are highly talented. This is the best team we have had in a long time. It was so much fun!

    The Winterhawks won!

by Anonymous on 11/10/09Rose Garden - Portland

We got lucky and were able to witness an amazing nail-biter of a game. It was even better that the Winterhawks pulled off the win. I haven't been to a hockey game in 10+ years and forgot how enjoyable they are. Venue was nice, but the beer was very expensive (typical for any Rose Garden show though). Some of the more hardcore fans were a bit rude.

    Full Meal Deal!!

by HJazz on 11/10/09Rose Garden - Portland

Awesome close game with lots of action and drama. Hawks tied it up with less than 2 seconds left and went on to win it in the shoot out. Dash for Cash promotion was a blast too. GO HAWKS!!

concesions were way over priced. some of the workers were not very helpfull and acted like they really didn't want to be there.

    Not enough action....

by Marty28 on 10/13/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Referees break up the fights too fast. I didn't want to pay to see them play with puppies. Adult beverages were too expensive.

    Needs Improvement

by Rickeybobby on 10/12/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I believe that there was a lack of new spirit involved in the event. The fans were lacking real stars no one knows anyone's name on the ice. I believe that if you created a star player you would have more fans, More excitement and an overall crowded arena.

    Sat Oct 10th

by AJS9177 on 10/11/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I love going to hawks games. i love getting in to it when the score a goal and i love bringing my friends to games who have never been. i am very tempted to stop coming to the games though. i love tom a hawk, i hate the new costume and the person inside of it does not deserve to be in that suit. he (or she) cant skate and does not get the crowd in to it. last night i saw that bird fall on his butt on the ice. last year i NEVER saw that bird fall, he (or she) was a good skater and a wonderful crowd upper. there was almost a whole period that we never even saw the mascot. the winterhawks need to get a new mascot, or get the person doing it now some skating lessons. i could have done a better job on skates and i have only been on them twice in my 32 years of life! thanks alison

It was our first time at a game. Everyone was very helpful, even the items for sell weren't priced out of this world.

    Winterhawks 10-10-2009

by psrpete on 10/11/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

Hadn't been to a Winterhawks hockey game in years. The team had fallen on hard times the past few years, but this year they are playing better, so I had to go and see for myself. Was able to get tickets 6 rows from the ice, got to see all the action up close. Great game: Winterhawks win 7-3. The team is good and improving. The new ownership seems to be doing a great job in all aspects. I will probably return this season.

HAWKS WERE GREAT! But National Anthem was horrible

by wonderwoman87 on 9/30/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The game was amazing yet again! Fun! Won a t-shirt. :) the only painful part was sitting thru the national Anthem sung by some girl with a cello. Horrible rendition! Really sad to say.

    Great entertainment, fantastic home opener!

by Hawkfan77 on 9/28/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

The home opener vs. the arch-rival Seattle Thunderbirds was action packed! It was a hard hitting aggressive game highlighted by six goals for the hawks and some excellent defensive work by the goaltender Kurtis Mucha. For my money this was a great way to spend a Saturday evening and support a local franchise!

    great evening

by scuba2210 on 9/28/09Portland Memorial Coliseum - Portland

I had never been to a winterhawks game and was a littel concern, but it was a really great evening. The game was great (the winterhawks won) and the seats I got were wonderful. I am looking forward to going to another game soon.
