The game was pretty decent - once it got started after being postponed 1:15 due to weather. No one can do anything about the weather, but the front office could have done a much better job of keeping fans informed of delay status.
We used MAX, and got there there by 7 PM. Total crowd count at that point was about 40 with no sign of a hockey game. We asked around, but ushers/security knew nothing. Finally @ around 7:15, some one mumbled over the PA that the game would be delayed, but the details were unintelligable. Then about 7:45, the PA (again very fuzzy) announced that face-off would be @ 8:45.
What's with the Hawks PA system/announcer?? Throughout the game, the PA was low and muffled, and from Sec 223, we could barely make out what was said. On the other hand, during Blazer games, the announcements seem to be loud and clear.
Another point; the Rose Garden was designed as a multi-media miracle. Why not use some of the graphics facilities to keep people informed - not only of game delay status, but during the game with info such as scoring / penalty items.
