We were in Portland for the weekend, so picked up some tickets to see the Beavers play Salt Lake. We're from Seattle, so we would have liked to see the Beavers play Tacoma, but we're baseball fans first and foremost, so we just wanted to see a good game. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by what a great ballfield PGE park is. It has a very old-school feel to it and it's right in Portland's downtown area. The next surprise we found is that there was a Webkins giveaway at the park that night, so both our boys were given a stuffed Beaver mascot. Once we got inside the park, the pleasantries continued. We followed our ticket stubs down to our seats (first row right behind the Beavers' dugout) where were were advised that, as members of the club section, we had access to the Season Ticket Holders' suites. We followed the attendant's directions down to the suite where we were treated to free hot dogs, popcorn, and potato chips. As if that weren't enough, the game itself was fantastic w/ the Beavers getting out to an early lead, only to fall behind, then come back from behind from the win. We would come back again in a heartbeat. While we were there, we heard rumors that the Beavers may not be playing at PGE next year. I hope that is not the case. It's a great baseball experience!
