  • Fun but could have been better!

by Sublime_girl82 on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Between the stages being far apart and no time to walk between sets, you aren’t able to see most bands. It was fun but several bands didn’t show and VIP could have been way better!

  • Good times just a few things

by Zach on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Hi, so I go to a lot of music festivals and venues. First The sound was a little too quiet from the bands and the mics were were scratchy. 2nd The main stage was too small for the "common"folks. Vip took up way to much space for how little people there where in vip, and who's Idea was it to put a bar right behind the sound booth?? The sound booth it's self Obstructed the view of the stage with all the scissors lifts. It was definitely a makeshift sound booth. Being built on a beach I can understand there may be issues it just was definitely not professionally done. 3rd the bands were good, the crowd was ok. Some people didn't seem to have any concert etiquette and displayed a rude behavior. It's clear this may have been some of thier first concert. Overall I enjoyed myself and would most likely attend again. I really loved the lineup.

  • The line up was amazing! Great festival!

by Return2dabeach on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The music was amazing... the line up was incredible!! Loved Jakob Nowell with Sublime he was awesome! Hopefully this will become a yearly festival unlike Beachit.

  • Great weekend on the beach!

by Jim on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

The festival was decent overall. Scanning in wasn't as smooth as could be, but not terrible. The re-entry cutoff felt a bit too early. All of the staff were super friendly, they really added to the experience! The music was mostly great, although there were some misses. Fortunate Youth and Ballyhoo! really were amazing and Rebelution ended everything on a high note. Food was a bit overpriced, especially given the local prices. Not enough water stations, a few people clearly needed to hydrate more. Lastly, it would have been awesome if the ocean hadn't been blocked off, but as it was, seeing it was difficult and getting into it while in the festival was impossible. Overall, we had a blast, though, and depending upon the performers, will likely attend again next year.

  • revise and revisit some things

by CLR on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

First, I want to point out that I purchased VIP tickets, with that being said, all stages should have a VIP area. Secondly, if you’re going to advertise that no two bands overlap, then make stages closer together. Other than that, it was overall a great festival!

  • Fun and clean

by Psydeways420 on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Had a blast. Every performance was great. Never seen so many trashcans at a concert or festival, so trash wasn’t spread everywhere. Free water is a must so I liked the water free water stands. Could’ve used maybe one more. Scanning tickets to leave the festival was kinda weird but I guess it made it so more people stayed and had to buy extra expensive beer and food. Overall, I give it 6stars and would definitely attend next years Point Break.

  • Kash’d Out @Pointbreakfestival

by Stasher on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Kash’d Out is my favorite band and they put on a rocking kick ass show! And it’s like right ON the beach. My first time ever to Virginia beach and met some wonderful peeps. Pointbreak was the best festival I have been too. They put up various tents for shade. The line-up was sick even with two bands canceling. Surfer Girl - Music stepped up on the absolute fly. Information easy to find. The water tanks and 4 different locations with cold water. Pick-up spot for smoke. The variety of food was everything and lots of it. Bathrooms getting cleaned in all areas. Bands had time to play. Continuously passing out bottled water. Walkways on the sand area so you can still walk barefoot without burning up your feet. And I will stop there…..

  • Great 1st time event

by MJ on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Festival was well organized with a good mix of bands. Plenty of bathrooms, food and beverage stations. Improvements: food prices. $12 for a single slice of pizza and $20 for chicken tenders and fries is absurd. Def should allow snacks to be brought in The timing of the bands between 2 stages didn’t allow for you to see the open or close of either show. Please allow 10-15min between acts on separate stages. Other than that it was a very well run 1st time event.

  • Reggae Rocks!!!

by Tom on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing Lineup for the first year of a festival... some challenges with set-up and sound for the smaller stage but overall a great set of shows!

  • A so so experience

by Matt on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Performers did great however stages lacked size and character in a impactful way. Also thought food vendors were “meh” all while being top Teir pricing (go figure). Merch was underwhelming to top it off

  • Great Experience

by Andrea on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was set up nicely with lots of shade and places to stand and sit. It looked a little crowded near the stage in general admission and much less crowded in VIP. Stages were kinda far away from each other and no break between stage sets so that did make it hard to see all bands. Also, it was crowded with no VIP at 2nd stage. I’m short and couldn’t see anything on the 2nd stage.

  • Amazing festival!

by BR on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Everything from the music, venue, staff, security, food, etc., was top notch. What an amazing weekend!

  • No problems at all

by Great festival! on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Easy re-entry, plenty of hydration and bathrooms. Bands were great, location was perfect and I hope this turns into an annual festival! Great job on planning and execution!

  • Could do better

by Gus on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Was trampled by drunk 20 something’s, while laying on my blanket!! Need more shade

  • Awesome experience!!

by Nshoe on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

SO MUCH FUN! Such an awesome venue and non stop music absolutely loved it. Next time, I suggest water misting stations (it was pretty hot all day in the sun), a few more places to sit, and some lighter food options (fried food in the heat is tough). Overall can’t wait to go back!

  • Bad ass but could be better

by Bert on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Total overall experience was great vip was the only way! Wish there would have been a vip entrance closer to the stage and a vip check out line that wasn’t 100 people deep. A vip section at the little stage woulda been sweet too but overall a bad ass fest can’t wait till next year!

  • Fun festival - music

by Swillone on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The festival exceeded my expectations. There was a solid lineup of musicians. Sound system was really good considering it was on the beach. They were plenty of vendors with a wide variety of food. Fun crowd, chill vibes, great location. Had an amazing time. Felt safe and relaxed

  • Best beach concert that I can remember

by Grant on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I cannot thank the organizers enough. The event was fantastic. It was run very well and the music was incredible. Maybe just a couple suggestions - move VIP entrance to where VIP is located rather than having to walk all the way through GA. Work put a better system for re entry. The scan out scan in system was cumbersome.

  • EPIC!

by Nikki on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I wish I could live the experience on repeat forever!

  • Excellent weekend

by CAL on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Great experience. Super impressive for the first time having this festival. Fingers crossed it’s an annual occurrence!! Food was great and there was plenty of beer lines to we never had to wait long. If I could change one thing, it would be to have a better beer selection but that wouldn’t stop me from attending again.
