  • Really good time

by Nik on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to a number of reggae festivals in California, Nevada and Maryland. Point Break by far has the best venue for this type of festival. I purchased the VIP passes. There are some things the festival can improve on. First , no vip area at the second stage. Second stage is so close to ground level you can’t see the band unless you are really close. No VIP viewing area at second stage was a disappointment. Cooling mist stations would have been nice. The venue provided shade structures all around and that was nice. But some cooling mist would have been fantastic especially on Sunday when the humidity was high. I will be attending next year if there is a third installment of this festival. My wife and I had a great time at the event. The line up was strong and set times were right on time all weekend.

  • Musical Journey Full Send

by Point Extravaganza on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was the baddest full body experience of music that lives on in your soul. Everything was on point from music, lights, screens, video, tech, built this into literally the perfect venue.

  • PBF = the best!!

by 757Homegrown on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Ticket$ worth the money… EXCELLENT lineup; proper amount of restrooms, vendors, and space. NA beverage selection appreciated! PBF supported and awesome drama free weekend. Looking forward to future offers.

  • Great Atmosphere

Great venue, great line up, great experience! Very capable and friendly staff.

  • A bit disappointing

by Disappointed on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

The layout was disappointing. You could not get from one stage to the other in enough time to see everything. Second stage was horrible, sound and viewing was the worst I have experienced. The price shown was not the final price, very misleading. Not enough water stations, causing major wait times.

  • Lots of fun, but...

    by W & T on 6/23/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

We had fun! Good vibes and energy. Most of the bands were awesome. A couple of things: Next time PLEASE put the music schedule out at the time people are purchasing their tickets. My husband and I got a whole package deal with hotel thinking that 311 was headlining and they only played for an hour. We spent $1400 just to be there in GAdmin and stay in hotel for the weekend. This was a disappointment. Of course we found this out the week prior. However, everything was non-refundable. Soja was amazing!!! The last bands for the nights (both nights) sounded INCREDIBLY auto tuned, or they were lipsyncing and occasionally says some words and singing a line or two. It didn't sound live. That very much bothered me! :-/ Fans pay A LOT of money, work hard for their money, and take time off from their families and work to come to these events. That was just sad. But, overall it was a fun weekend with some really awesome bands! Don't think we will be spending that kind of money again though.

  • Point Break music festival II (2025)

by Tietjen on 6/23/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Point Break music festival for 2025 was loaded with star power! There were so many headliners you couldn't keep count. Seating is limited, especially if rough if you have sore knees or any pains that make it very hard to get up and down. I've been a caretaker so I just note these type things. They have everything you could need contained in this festival area. They have some entry policies which were not agonizing whatsoever. Some of the security were a little overzealous trying to make problems when they weren't even existing, but I can see how they are just concerned for the safety and well-being of the patron. This festival is so fun I just wish they would've started at 20 years ago it would be my 20 second instead of my second but I see no stopping them as long as they keep furnishing Virginia Beach with such a plethora of great music!! I just can't wait to see what they have in store for 2026 if you haven't been I would highly recommend you check it out next year.💪🏻

  • Great time had....

by Greeneyed on 6/10/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

My bestie and I had the best time ever. Since I paid a lot of money for VIP I really didn't get to experience it 100%. As the second stage was not setup for VIP. We felt we got robbed of that and so does alot of people we talked to. Other than that it was a great time had!!

  • Awesome

by Genia B on 6/9/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The overall experience was amazing! So many great artist and so many kind people! The food was good and the festival was a whole vibe!

  • Great weekend!

by Ashley on 6/6/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

We had a blast! We went both days and loved the free water hydration stations. All the bands were great, was a little bummed two of the bands couldn’t make it but they did make up for it by adding Surfer Girl and getting Fortunate Youth to play Saturday and Sunday. We’ll definitely be going next year! The only downside is that the food and drinks were way over priced. It was cheaper to go over to Waterman’s for an early dinner/orange crushes than it was to eat at the festival, then come back for the evening shows. But overall we had a great time and highly recommend going!

  • Great time

Nicely planned out and hope they will continue with this festival every year!!

  • Great Festival

by DW on 6/6/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Great artists. No overlapping set times. More shade would have been nice in GA. VIP could have used more food options but the shade was great! Food was pricey but usual for festivals.

  • **Pointbreak ** FESTIVAL

by Michele L on 6/6/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent venue and show. Food was expensive but mostly tasty. Sound was excellent and I really enjoyed the VIP section. Many restrooms so no line especially in VIP section! I do wish that they had a separate entrance for VIP section closer to 5th street. ML

  • Overall great event

by Jennifer on 6/6/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

I've been to several festivals and Point Break was just as good as the others. I was very impressed with the set up and logistics of everything since it was the 1st year. Plenty of restrooms, bars and food stands. Only complaint was there was only 1 VIP entrance and even when no one was in line for GA, we still had to wait in the long VIP line. As a VIP ticket holder I also didn't like having to go all the way to the main entrance to leave and come back. Really wish there would've been a VIP entrance in the VIP section.

  • Almost Really Great

  • A Perfect Launch For A New Festival

by NetSecDude757 on 6/5/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Point Break music festival was hands down one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the organizers had thought of everything. The entry process was smooth, and the festival grounds were set up perfectly, making it easy to find everything we needed. The bands absolutely brought it. Each performance was great. You could tell the artists were feeding off the audience’s vibe, which made the whole thing even better. I cannot wait for next year!

  • Way to go Virginia Beach

by Lo on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

They really did an awesome job on this one! Everything went smoothly. No overlapping sets. Food and drink lines weren’t long. Wish they would have done Fri and Sat nights. We did VIP which proved to be a complete waste of money because they over sold the tickets and the crowns size was the same as GA. Next time just save the extra money.

  • Exceptional event.

by Jay on 6/4/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the event ran smoothly. There was never a long line for anything. From the moment you to get in, to using the bathroom or getting food and drinks there was never a long line. There was plenty of space. Room was made for people who wanted to use blankets to sit down, and it never felt felt too crowded. The only feedback I have is it would have been nice to be able to bring my icewater in or have colder water or ice water in general as it was really hot outside. Also, it would be pretty epic if you could make it to where we could swim while at the event I know that would be challenging, but it would be really cool.
