Still great but…
by Sophie on 7/24/23I love the movie selection this year but was disappointed that the light projection show wasn’t shown. Also, the shirt designs were very cut and paste. No effort was put into them like other years.

Loved the atmosphere, the quality and sound of movie which overall made this a unique experience! It was family friendly and the employees were so welcoming!
The theater provided an amazing experience! The staff is very kind and accommodating. The theater has western and beautiful vintage appearance. I look forward to the next film!
The movie scar face was great. Only bad thing is the seats are not comfortable and the isles are very tight.
amazing movie and i'd definitely go again just to see the very much options
We went to the pre-talk before the movie and heard lots of already known information about the movie. After the talk was over we moved to main theater where more talk was had and it was all the same information already spoken about previously. They need to compare notes on what they are going to say so it does not feel so much of hearing the same over and over.
Movie was great...wished there had been popcorn for sale and bottled water! Free water ran out quickly!
We were looking for a different avenue for our night out and going to the movies, especially at the Plaza Theater was just the thing. Very nice, majestic, clean, comfortable seat theater. The setting, sound system and atmosphere was beautiful and made for an enjoyable evening. Definitely recommend a night out to the Plaza Theater.
The Marfa Tapes was excellent! I feel bad for those who missed it. Watching creative and extremely successful musical artists as a “ fly on the wall” was an experience I’ve never had before. Thank you for bringing it to the Plaza Film Festival.
This was the USA premier of the film. The title might lead you to think it was a comedy, but that would be a mistake. It is a surprisingly sensitive, surprisingly powerful performance by Sam Elliott as a kind of "everyman" who was called on to carry out world-changing events (albeit fantastical events) and is now living a life of quiet desperation. Several stand-out performances by supporting actors, including his girlfriend, almost-fiancée, and his brother. Try to see this film if you can. And the discussion before and after the film by Elliott, the writer director, editor, sound, etc. was incredibly enlightening. The venue, the Plaza Theatre, is a wonderful, classic, restored theatre that captures an era of grand theatres. Really great experience all in all.
The ELP Plaza Classic Film Festival was a great event! We listened to Sam Elliot, cast & crew before & after the movie.
Had a great time at event. Sam Elliott is sexy as ever!! Although we had a late start, it was well worth the wait... I liked the movie!
I loved watching my favorite movie on the big screen. I must say that I would like to see more of the real classics on the line up for the festival. I would love to see MORE Audrey Hepburn, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Humphrey Bogart. Dream come true would be to watch For Whom the Bell Tolls with Bing Crosby.
It's was great & listening to Ali McGraw answer some audience questions was really amazing
Magnifico. All of it. Took my 4 year old granddaughter. She enjoyed the movie for sure as did I ..maybe even more this around. The annual Classic Film Fest, thank you thank you thank you. I also planned this particular event as I remember my grandmother taking me to the Plaza and was in awe of the décor and the ORGAN. And yes it played for us this time. To say incredible is better said in Spanish as it has so much more emotion. So to all increíble Increible Increible.
This was our first time to attend the Plaza Classic Film Festival. Snow Whit was superb. We enjoyed the pre-movie talk and the movie was truly outstanding, well worth the ten years of effort from the Festival program staff to get this movie. We will be back to see more next year. Well done!
Movie was great and gave great perspective into her life. There were technical difficulties for the first 30 minutes but other than that, was a great venue and picture.
It was really awesome. And Elsa Cardenas was charming and eloquent!
One of the actresses from the classic movie Giant was on stage! She joyfully recounted being cast in the picture and filming in west Texas. It was then the audience's turn to travel there as we watched the film. Amazing acting, great scenes, powerful message, funny, serious, and so well done! I'm so glad that I got a chance to see the film, and to see it at the Plaza Theater in El Paso!
Watching this classic movie with so many people who share the same interests was amazing! People were clapping and cheering as the movie went on- classic.
