    PlayHouse Disney

by Irismorning on 4/9/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

Definitely great for children. My daughter loved being able to sing and dance in the aisles. She was just disappointed that all the characters weren't there, ex. Daisy and Pluto. It's hard to explain to an almost 3 year old where they were. I told her that Daisy had to take Pluto out for a walk, but then she kept expecting them to come back! We would probably take her again if they came back to the area.

Excellent first experience for our little one!

by GilmoreGirl78 on 4/7/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

My son loved it most of the time! He just turned 1 year old and he enjoyed the show more than I expected. Wish there were more of Playhouse Disney Channel characters live! but great experience anyway!

    Playhouse Disney, Short and Sweet

by limbojel on 4/6/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

For the price,$47 a tix plus, an hour and 20 minutes just didn't cut it. The characters enthusiasm, dancing and acting was superb, if there only had ben a little more of it. My daughter said she enjoyed it, and maybe for children of this age group it was time appropriate, I stil left feeling as though I missed something.

    Disney Does It

by hautemama on 4/6/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

It was about 10 minutes too long for my almost 2 year olds attention span, but well worth going. My daughter was yelling for the characters and dancing in her seat. I was anticipating a possibly bad experience but was pleasantly suprised with the show. I would definitely go again and even take my 3 month old along too.

    Handy Manny was the hit

by Diger on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

Show was able to keep my 2 yr old twins attention, would have liked to see more interaction between the kids and the characters. Not enough of Mickey Mouse and his club house pals. Handy Manny's segment was the biggest attraction for them. Would have seen a longer show for the cost. Too bad it was easter sunday - and there was next to no area advertising, spoke with friends and said if it was any weekend but easter we would have attended.

Playhouse Disney Live! Not quite Disney caliber

by GoofyMomToo on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

If Disney puts its name on it, I expect the show to be excellent. It was primarily for that reason that I was willing to pay the crazy price. We opted for the mid-range tickets and the cost for a family of four was still over $200 for an hour and a half long show. The show did not live up to expectations. All characters, except "Postess", were lip synching the lyrics, though most were good dancers, and the stage was basically a large video screen with a few actors/dancers in front of it. The format did not bring the characters and scenes to life. The story was also very, very slow for a normally patient adult -- which I expected since it is a show for preschoolers -- but again with the Disney name, I expected more. My 4 & 6 year olds worked to enjoy it and neither has mentioned it since leaving... and that says something (they still talk about the circus last year).

    Cute but pricey

by nikel25 on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

Let me start by saying that my sons (ages 5 and 3 1/2) had an AWESOME time at this show!! My 5 year old was jumping up and down and singing along, my 3 1/2 year old would have too, except that he was so enthralled by the show that he sat there the entire time and I'm not sure that he blinked!! LOL BUT... The portion of the show featuring Handy Manny (my sons' favorite) was not nearly as well done as some of the other parts( ...the Little Einsteins and Pooh were much better). In Handy Manny, they showed all of the characters (Kelly, Mrs. Portillo and Elliot-or was it Sherman) but they did not tell you who they were, nor is they have speaking parts and were completly ignored on stage. It was kind of disppointing. Also, we had great seats, (3rd row) but wow did we pay for them. $47 each +tax for a show that was only an hour and a half (including a 15 minute intermission)! It should have been a little longer and prices were, well, one word,,,OUCH!!

    Less than we expected

by HayleysMomma on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

First of all it was really short for the cost of the tickets even with a 10 minute intermission it was under an hour and a half. My 4 year old was captivated for the 1st 20 minutes then she was pretty bored. We have seen this and the Disney Princess on Ice show and this event didn't even hold a candle to the magic we got from the ice show. The ice show was less expensive and lasted longer. I would have to say we wont ever go to another show like this again. She was much more excited by the parts of the show where the characters were in big stuffed costumes and not by the Einsteins or Handy Manny "people" in costumes.

    Not worth the money

by Anonymous on 4/5/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

Paid over $40 a ticket and with a 20 minute intermission the show was just under a hour and a half. My child loves the Disney charachters featured in this show and found himself as well as I bored quickly. Would not recommend you waste your money on this show go buy some dvd's and you will be ahead of the game.

    Not worth the price!

by BrianinRochester on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

My wife and I were very excited to take out two year old daughter to see the show. She knows all the characters and is a big Disney fan. Tickets were a bit pricy but we had decent seats. Show was very short (less than 1.5 hours, including 15 minute intermission). Not what I expected for $50+ per ticket. Not much interaction with the crowd either. Nice show... but not worth the money!!!

    Not a fan

by ztib on 4/5/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

This is one of many children's shows we've been to. It was very short, and not very attention grabbing. Will not go to another Playhouse Disney show. My son loves to watch these shows, but the live show barely held his attention.

    don't waste your money

by dissapppointed on 4/5/10Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland

I was extremely dissapointed withthe Disney Playhouse show. The scenery and props were all just projected on to the screen behind the actors. The seating was way too far back to see the show. The merchandise marketing was absurd. There was nothing you could purchase for less than $10. I will never go back to a Disney show. It was all marketing and merchandise, not entertainment.

Was Long enough for the Money

by jle973 on 4/5/10Palace Theatre Albany - Albany

I was a little amazed that the show was over an hour long, which is unusual for a kids show. But it definitly was worth the money. The intermission could have been a little more planned with the events leading up to it, I felt when the show resumed everyone was restless and the ending wasnt spectacular

My understanding is that it was the same show as last year. My kids are young enough that they do not remember, but I will not take them next year unless there is a theme attached.

Disney Show was light on sets/props/excitement

by Kimberly1965 on 4/5/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

I thought the show for young kids would have been better with more audience interaction - i.e. type of stage/stages; walk though audience; more actors; more props, more sophisticated sets (after all this is a Disney show); stage in the middle? instruments? it was really just as 'boring' as watching tv for the kids - too much money to pay for that and I'm really tired of paying the high, high prices for any of the drinks, toys, photos, themed food - lemonade was $10, popcorn was $10, snowcones in a disney cup were $10, cotton candy with a hat was $15; toys were $20 - they need to get with the economic times and if they want families to attend then they need to make it more affordable - I won't buy these type of show tickets again for my kids - there's much more I can do with the $170 ticket prices I paid for 4 people + the $40 on food/drinks.
