PLAIN WHITE T'S IN CONCERT:

Pop-punk outfit Plain White T's is anything but plain live -- the band has been packing a punch with their driving guitar sound, upbeat melodies, and sprightly showmanship since 1997. Whether they're stripping it down with their acoustic smash-hit "Hey There Delilah" or getting fans to sing along to "1,2,3,4", Plain White T's sound just as sharp live as they do on their recordings. A veteran touring act with showmanship to the gills, the five-piece gives concertgoers an unforgettable experience every time they hit the road for one of their exciting tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Chicago-based pop punkers Plain White T's first formed in 1997, getting their start playing local bar and restaurant gigs. When frontman Tom Higgenson was involved in a near-fatal car accident two years later, he penned a collection of reflective songs while recovering that ultimately led the band to pursue music full-time. They released three albums in the early '00s, but didn't achieve mainstream success until 2006 with Every Second Counts, which was certified gold in the US and featured the No. 1 hit "Hey There Delilah". The band immediately launched to international fame after the release, set out on a tour with Motion City Soundtrack, and played their own sold-out headlining shows. The pop-punk act continued to release more popular tunes like "1,2,3,4" and "Rhythm of Love", both of which were played in heavy rotation on alternative radio across the country. With several platinum-selling records, two Grammy nominations, and a hit-filled catalog under their belt, Plain White T's are show-stopping performers who treat fans to all of their popular tunes on perennial can't-miss tours.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I always thought this band was good... but I never saw them live before. The live show is full of passion, honesty, and energy. They were absolutely AMAZING. Each band member is extremely talented. A MUST-SEE!"

"NO WORDS can explain how AMAZING this night was! Plain White T's put on a FUN and energetic show, get the crowd involved, and keep you dancing until the end! This show will be a LIFETIME MEMORY!"

"The Plain White T's never disappoint. In addition to being a great band, they are great entertainers."

    All bands were awesome!!

by crazeekat on 7/17/09Rams Head Live! - Baltimore

This was my first event at this venue and it was totally incredible!! The first band, Days Difference, were great and they were so incredibly nice and sociable after their performance. They mingled with the crowd, signing anything and talking to everyone. The 2nd band (forgot their name) was different but very entertaining. Then the Plain White T's came on and yes they were dynamite. They put on a fantastic show and they were such a clean cut band. I was so happy that I took my 3 girls with me. It was a memorable night for all.

Plain White T's Were a High Energy Crowd Pleaser

    by Tam1258 on 7/16/09The Social - Orlando

Tom Higginson knows how to work a crowd of teenagers - the band saved their signature song for next to last. He held the mike out to the audience and a sold out show of tweens and teens delighted us with the song, Delilah. I hope they meant it when they said they were coming back to Florida as I know I'll have a truckload of dreamy eyed girls wanting to go again. I respect this band for turning out great music without peppering the lyrics with profanity. Definitely suitable for young teens and adults alike.

    Great Night

by HaleyClaw on 7/16/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Really fun discovering 'Days Difference'. Their music was totally something i would generally listen to. While Plain White T's seemed to attract a slightly younger crowd, it didn't change the atmosphere of the show, and was overall a fun night.

Plain White T's = worth it. period.

by Cortnie on 7/16/09Rocketown - Nashville

Start at the beginning: so when I arrived at Rocketown for the concert, I had missed the first two opening bands, but, the third, called Company of Thieves, was out of this world. So definitely look them up. Anyways, the PWT came on, and I was nothing but satisfied. Interaction and humor with the audience, and a good selection of music, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

    Plain White T's rock!!!

by Finbar on 7/16/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

It was an amazing concert. It almost felt like a private viewing. The view from the balcony was incrediable. Standing the whole time went fast. The bands before hand were awesome. I was able to meet Tom and a few other members from the Plain White T's afterwards. They were all so nice and down to earth. I can't wait to go back to the Culture Room for another concert.

Plain White T's - Great Energy!

by kettnet on 7/16/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

only knew a couple of their hits and wished I knew more of their material. The show was excellent, but the sound at the Culture Room in Ft Laud, FL started off weak and improved through the concert. I have since picked-up both CD's and am very impressed with the band.

Plain White T's Exactly what you expect

by andimomo on 7/16/09Newport Music Hall - Columbus

The Plain White T's concert was exactly what you expect. Lots of fun songs, lots of accoustic songs for the ladies, alot of crowd participation. It was in no way disappointing, but if you thought it would be anything different than this you were wrong.

    Not what I expected

by lastory007 on 7/15/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

I went to the show because I was a bit curious. I had not really heard anything other that the huge radio hits. However, the price was right & my friend wanted to go . I was nervous that this might be a teeny bop band, but I was trying to keep an open mind. Both opening acts were GOOD! I actually went on to I-tunes and downloaded "company of thieves". By the time the T's came on I was in a good mood, but those boys made me sooooo much happier! WHAT GOOD MUSICIANS & NICE GUYS!!!! I was complety impressed an soooo pleasentsly supprized @ the quality of the music live. It is much more impressive than it is on disc. I was already converted to a Big fan when they came out & did an acoustic set. That sealed the deal for me!!! I LOVE THE PLAIN WHITE T'S!!!!! I would gladly see them again!

    Pleasant Suprise!

by familyattheTs on 7/15/09Rocketown - Nashville

My wife, two boys and I went to this event that involved three other groups before Plain White T's took the stage. The first band whose name the band did not even mention had a heavy metal sound to them. Their name was not worth mentioning. The drummer was out of place by stripping down to his boxers at a "family friendly event". Day's Difference, the second band, demonstrated much potential. As my wife said, they had "star appeal". I agree. They interacted with the audience very well and were appropriate for this event. The third group, Company of Thieves, had a lot of spunk. The Plain White T's were more sophisticated than I anticipated. Like Days' Difference, these guys knew how to interact and entertain. My boys recently began play acoustic guitar, and this was a great group to which they could make this connection. When we discovered that they were switching venues, we decided to take our two boys. I glad we did. Nevetheless, we should not have showed up so early to see the early act. The boys were a little tired by time we got to the T's. I appreciated the clean cut simplicity of the group. The acordian was a delight to hear. My wife and I are looking forward to their return to Nashville in the Fall at the Ryman. Now that will be a great atmosphere.

    Company of Thieves should've headlined!

    by supernaturalfan04 on 7/15/09Rocketown - Nashville

Too many kids. The show would've rocked if it was held at another venue. There were not enough people to fill up the place. However, overall the show was exceptional. Company of Thieves were phenonmenal!!! Plain White T's were equally good but their show would've been better with an energetic crowd of fans.

Newport and the Plain White T's were awesome!

by KarlaS on 7/15/09Newport Music Hall - Columbus

Jim and I shared a table with a family from Indiana. Yes, they drove that far for their beautiful young lady to reward her for a job well done in school! They and We had the best time at this music show! The band was terrific and the venue excellent! Tho I have to say this: when will people ever learn manners at public events? If you want to stand and be within arm's length of the band?.....get on the floor in front of the stage! NOT in front of the people at their tables. Luckily, Jim was able to convince the man blocking the little girl's view...to stand elsewhere. Thank you Plain White T's and Newport for a fun, affordable and awesome concert!
