    Dedicated to the Sound!

by Ivy on 5/11/23House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

This was my first Placebo concert, I’ve been wanting to see them since 2014! Let me just say they did Not disappoint! They delivered every sound from the songs they performed! And most of them weren’t even a product of a synthesizer! Loved loved loved the way they worked their guitars to get the wavy sounds, I’m still thinking about it. The lady handling the synthesizers on the left played the ghostly sounds from “Song to Say Goodbye” with an electric violin, it was Incredible! Stefan’s voice is just as soft and smooth as it sounds on “Shout”! Brian was working a pedalboard to get certain sentences to echo, it was so smooth. The opening act, Poppy Jean Crawford and her team, were really really good! They played some covers and some songs you can’t find on their Spotify, and they had everyone that went unprepared asking who they were. She sounds amazing live! Everyone loved them. Thank you for coming to Dallas, TX! We know how hard it has been to keep on going. I hope the city treated you kindly, and that you felt the love <3

    Amazing show, amazing venue

by Dawn G on 5/7/23The Salt Shed - Chicago

We had seats in this venue which I had never been to before and I'm so glad we purchased them. The venue was beautiful the sound was amazing. Placebo put on one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've been going to concerts for 40 years. They were dynamic and engaged and musically they were perfect. Just adored this show.

    Decent show

by the oldfart on 5/6/239:30 CLUB - Washington

Overall good performance, the band performs very well on live, both instruments and Brian Molko's voice sounds crisp and clear on stage, and you can see the passion and effort Brian Molko's puts when you see him quickly switching guitars after every song, truly remarkable and gives you a hint on how detail oriented he is. However the sound was extremely loud for such a small venue like 09:30 Club, I ended with tinnitus for the next 2 days, so turning it a little bit down could have ended up being a more enjoyable experience. Please take that into consideration for subsequent shows. I liked the detail of asking for no cellphone, photos, videos, etc, I think it should be a practice for shows for ALL artists, so please keep doing that until (hopefully) becomes just common sense. Regarding the songs played, I understand they want to showcase the newest work they've done, but being a band with more than 20+ years in trajectory they should cater to their audience and play more of the old hits, say Every You Every Me, Meds, Special K, This Picture, etc. There were times when 2 or 3 songs of the newest album was played and literally no one in the public was following them.

    Placebo at the 9:30

by Paco on 5/6/239:30 CLUB - Washington

The admonition for no phones was universally accepted, which in itself created a unique experience. The sold out show, with everyone showing up - not always a given, added to what was a very special night.

    Great show

by Larry on 5/6/239:30 CLUB - Washington

This is early in the top 4 best shows I saw this year. I really like the face they asked not to use cell phones for pictures or videos of the performance and the crowded honor the request.

The band had the quality of sound they deserve plus the lighting and all the details including the opening band that overall result in excellence for the cool audience that the band deserve.

First Placebo Show 🎶On the 2nd of May🎶

by Adrian on 5/5/239:30 CLUB - Washington

It was my first Placebo show, and I traveled from Nashville to D.C. to see them on their sold out “Placebo Day” date (🎶we’re running out of alibies on the 2nd of May🎶) which couldn’t have been more perfect to me. Brian even acknowledged the “Placebo Day” which made it feel even more special to me, and them actually playing The Bitter End too was really fun considering this. I arrived early enough to be just a couple people away from the barrier, toward the left of the stage in front of Brian and had a really great time. The performances of everyone were fantastic, and Brian and Stefan threw in a few fun and sweet little interactions with the crowd too if you were paying enough attention. My partner officially joined me in my obsession with these incredibly talented individuals after this show too. The band and venues are very serious about the no phones policy, and Placebo even included a special recording and visual of Brian explaining this. I will admit that I was able to strategically snap a few quick photos with no issues but ultimately had no issue respecting the band’s wishes and simply needed a little something for my memories.

    GREAT SHOW! NO PHONE POLICY

by Ericataylor on 5/5/239:30 CLUB - Washington

The show was incredible! I've been a fan for 10 years and was finally able to see them live! They played somgs from their new album and some old ones. They do have a strict no phone policy at their shows, which i did not know until arriving. This is taken very seriously. If they catch you, you may be escorted out of the venue.

Finally saw Placebo after 25 years of loving them

    by G. M. on 5/5/239:30 CLUB - Washington

It was a great show. The venue is very nice and it's located in a centric area of DC. The staff was good too and everything went smoothly. The only reason why I don't give 5 stars is because the sound was not well mixed. Not sure if it was Placebo's Sound Engineer but the guitars were amazingly louder than vocals, drums, and everything else. Due to this, I found it hard to understand the songs, it took me like 20 seconds each time to understand what they were playing, besides the huge ringing it left in my ears. I would pay more attention to the sound mix.

We had a very good night with Placebo; General Admission so we stood close to the scene. I wish that they would play more often in Quebec. Very talented musicians--- Love them !

    Good show, bad setlist

by giup on 4/30/23History - Toronto

I honestly don’t understand why a band that’s been around for almost 30 years would rather play covers (two!!) than their own hits. If you’re not a massive fan, don’t even bother going…

    Great concert!

by angelicfruitcake on 4/30/23History - Toronto

I had a great time. Great songs, great performance. I wished they could have played “Special Needs” and that filming and photos were allowed. I waited 25 years for this moment and I wished I could get the memories recorded somewhere. Thanks Spotify for sending me the offer…otherwise I would not have known they were in town! Great experience. :)

    Amazing

by Fredy on 4/29/23MTELUS - Montreal

Placebo was amazing, they sounds the same live as they do on the album, and they had a lot of energy and power. I would've like to hear Every you every me though, it is the best song
