The best show yet, I have gone the last three years and they keep getting better. Bobby Rydell was unbelievable.

    doo wop

by tbone1967 on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

The first four acts were great then they got to jay and the american, they were good but not exactly doowop. then the show went down hill, even people around us started to leave. I relize that there are not a lot of the old groups left but it should not have been advertised as doo wop

    PROGRAM WAS WEAK

by DER1SR on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

THE PERFORMERS GAVE VERY GOOD PERFORMANCES OF WHAT FEW SONGS THEY SANG THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY ONLY SANG A COUPLE OF SONGS EACH. SEEMED HARDLY WORTH GETTING THE FANCY CLOTHES ON.

    show never missed a beat

by ralphyj on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Nader Entertainment put together a terrific show. each of the groups performed a number of their hit songs, most of the more popular hits of the doo wop era. I attended last years show, and between the two I think they were both outstanding.. I look forward to the next Doo Wop event at the Consol Energy Center. It is a very nice venue for concerts. Very warm, very comfortaable, not a bad seat in the house.

Show was good. the seats were very good. The drinks were overpriced. We had a good time and sang with the groups. It was a good night out

Last year's concert was better--more lively; acts had better choreography.

    Kenny Vance/Planetones were FANTASTIC!!

by Livobear on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

The entire show was great until the last act. Bobby Rydell was poor and with the exception of "WildOne", the music he sang did not fit with the doo wop theme. Make the Planetones the headliner next time!!

    Doo Wop

by Carpat on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Although my husband and I enjoyed the show for the most part. We didn't feel it was up to the standard of the show we saw two years ago. Bobby Rydell was not good at all. The Consol Energy Center really racked us for parking $20. That is outrageous. Ii would like to see another show, but I think a little more work should go into fiinding stars. Also the sound wasnt good when people were just talking.

    Doo Wop was substandard

by billsgal on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

My husband and I have been going to holiday Doo Wops for years at the Mellon Arena. They were spectacular. We were disappointed after the show at the Consol Energy Center on December 3, 2010. The accoustics were bad and the acts were not good. When the group was singing accapela, the girl from Richard Nader walked around the stage in front of them and gave them the "cut" sign by slashing her hand in front of her throat. They finished their song and left the stage. I thought that was very tacky. Then when Mr. Mara was singing, she let the aforementioned group sing backup for him, but had them stand on the floor instead of on the stage with him. He even remarked that he didn't know why they did that. The whole production seemed very poorly put together. The two bright spots were the little girl who sang at the beginning and, of course, the Planotones! They would sound terrific anywhere. Bobby Rydell, although I liked him in the 60s, isn't someone I would associate with Doo Wop. All in all, we were disappointed in the show.

    Doo Wop

by Ted11900 on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

I liked almost all of the groups. The unfortunate thing was that the promotor, the Nader Chick had to get on stage and and try to play master of ceremonies. Can't she just be happy with making a buck? I didn't pay to see her.

    Pittsburgh Doo Wop

by BrenMac on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

We have attended other Christmas Doo Wops but this was the worst. There was only a few good ones of the groups and some groups we had never heard of. The arena is very nice. This time the groups DID rotate around the stage which made it very nice.

    Great for 50's fans

by 4749 on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Performers were very good but the music was before our time. We prefer the 60's & 70's music, hoping next year's show will include those groups.

    Doo Wop reunion was disappointing

by GroveCity on 12/6/10CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

This year's Doo Wop reunion was disappointing compared to previous years. There weren't as many "name" performers and the acts were not as classic as in years' past.

We had seats on the floor and we could see all the acts so well. The entire show was realy GREAT and very well put together! We had a wonderful evening and well worth the money I spent on the tickets!
