I was very disappointed in this event. I hid it well since my 5year old daughter appeared to be having fun. First of all we saw it at the landmark in syracuse and I bought the tickets because they were supposedly front row and my daughter and I were very excited, however when we got there, there were no front row pit seats and it was a fiasco to get a seat. Luckily there was hardly anyone there so we could sit practically wherever we wanted. Secondly, the performance sound was not the best and the stage backgrounds looked homemade. I bought the after party tickets for 5 dollars each, this was actually cute (free cupcake, wand and plastic tiara), but they never checked the tickets and it was so packed I could have easily joined in not knowing it had cost money. I had brought extra money in the hopes of buying a book for the characters to sign, but no merchandise is sold. I think this story has the potential to be a fabulous stage performance and whomever is doing the marketing is missing out on selling products the girls would like to take home and use at the after party.

Pinkalicious - Don't expect it to be like the book

    by Syracusemom2 on 10/30/13Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

My children love the books. However, in this musical Pinkalicious is naughty and isn't as nice to her brother as she is in the books. Additionally, the parents in this musical suggest they have been too busy with work to do fun things as a family whereas in the books they are very involved and creative. I left this musical not wanting my children to model the behaviors of the family. My 5 year old son didn't like but my 3 year old daughter thought a couple of songs were nice and she still likes Pinkalicious the character. We have read some of the original stories again so that this is the memory they keep instead of the musical.

Not worth the price of the ticket

by SaraPrim on 10/30/13Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

While my kids (3 and 5) did enjoy the show, that was the only redeemable part. The theatre was cold, the acting was awful and it was rather disturbing to see "Pinkalicious" played by a woman clearly much older than the actors playing her parents. I'm glad my kids liked it, but that's not exactly how I was hoping to introduce them to theatre, with such a sub-standard show.

Cute show, nothing very special, too young for my 9 year old granddaughter who loves Pinkalicious. Actors who played the children were too old.

Show was cute, pink party disappointing

    by Bb8012 on 10/29/13Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

My 4 year old loved the show. It was just the right length for her. At the end pinkalicious told everyone to come downstairs for the pink party. Well, I didn't buy tickets in advance for that, don't know about it. And they wouldn't sell tickets there right then. So happy 4 year old turned into devastated sobbing 4 year old. I just wish the characters didnt announce it like it was available for everyone when it wasnt.

    A little girl's delight

by theaterfan46 on 7/14/13NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

My 5 yo granddaughter can't stop talking about the show Her recall of specific lines and characteristics of the Players was amazing. Posing for pictures with the children in the lobby was the icing on the "cupcake".

    Pinkalicious was disappointing

by SVSL on 11/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I though Pinkalicious was disappointing. I brought my 6yr old daughter along with a friend and her 4 yr old daughter. We were surprised that it was only 1 hour. We also thought that the costumes and stage set lacked creativity. Overall it was not worth the price of the ticket ($50.00 ea)

Loved it! Would definitely like to see more plays like this for my seven-year old!

    Eh....It was just OK.

by Anonymous on 5/3/12St. George Theatre - Staten Island

For little girls who love pink...it was perfect. For anyone else, the singing was poor & the production itself should have been on a much more professional level. For such a short running time (1 hr total) there was NO need for a 15 intermission. I also feel the dialogue from the book should have been represented better through the characters. Many of the lines that my daughter can recite from the book were omitted. Scenery was pretty sad too. Also, they could have had Pinkalicious turn pink more than they did, and when she turned red you really couldn't even tell. That's the whole fun of the book!

    Worse show I ever saw!

by shelly26 on 5/2/12St. George Theatre - Staten Island

This show could have been great. The story pinkalicious is a cute story that you can do so much with. The characters costumes did not relate to the book. Pinkalicious should have been all pink (after eating the cupcakes) The only thing pink was her hair and arms. The props were so cheesy..Needed more glitz and sparkle. The sound was horrible. My friends and I couldnt hear what they were saying. The show started 15 minutes late and then they had a 15 minute intermission. (waste of time) I was so disappointed!

    not very good

by katieelise on 5/2/12St. George Theatre - Staten Island

The idea of the show is great but for some reason the mics for the father character and the mother were not working. I could not hear anything they said. The music was louder than Pinkalicious. The brother was the loudest and his voice was a little too powerful. My daughter was happy but I don't know that we would go to that theatre again. Terrible accoustics and the nose bleed section was no joke. You could barely see a thing in the mezzanine.

    Cute story & good presentation

by ErinJ95 on 10/2/11Park Street Theatre - Columbus

Pinkalicious was a good production with lots of fun scenes for the little kids. The sound quality left a lot to be desired, though. The kids' voices didn't carry well and if they weren't facing you, it was hard to hear the words.

    Tickled Pink!!

    by ajgood98 on 9/6/11Ogunquit Playhouse - Ogunquit

My five year old daughter loved it so much that she wanted to wait for Pinkalicious to leave so we could follow her and see where she lives. Even my eight year old son loved it and he was much harder to sell on the idea that it would be a fun event to attend:)
