    excellent show!

by reviewer1324687 on 8/16/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My kids are 6 and 4 and both loved the show! We bought the discounted tickets in the back of the theatre, they were great seats there is not a bad seat in the theatre really. The characters meet the kids after the show, the line is long but moves fast for sure worth the wait now we have my daugther's picture with pinkalicous, which is priceless!

    Pinkalicious was GREAT!

by Saor on 8/15/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

We took our 3 kids ages 7,5 and 1. All had a great time. They loved the story and music so much that I surprised by buying them the soundtrack. They have been listening and singing along with it ever since. The only irration was as we were being seated. We were informed we needed a ticket for our 1year old. Which is after I bought the tickets and specifically asked the person on the phone if I needed one? They checked and said as long as she was on my lap no ticket was nessesary. So then we ended up having to go back out and stand in line to buy another ticket. No one likes waiting in any line.

    Pinkalicious was Pinktastic

by pinkmomma on 8/15/11emerald city theatre - chicago

the show was really cute, about 1 hour so not to long for little people. they had a small craft project when you arrive that will allow them to interact during the show. peter was really funny...costumes were fun! they come out into the audience which was fun too. Only issue was after the show and the autographs...it wasn't organized, one hostess was sending me to one area, the other said i was butting in line, and it was a big blob of people. i'd recommend them putting up more organized lines for people go get in as i was embarrassed in front of my kids by going where one of the hostess sent me and the other was rude. we left without autographs

    Pinkalicious w/agenda?

by PrincessKathryn on 8/14/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The show would have been fantastic except for one thing. They warped the story to be about Pinkalicious's brother Peter not being able "to be who I am" and "love pink." Pinkalicious is a fantastic story in itself. Was it really necessary to add in this adult agenda when performing to an audience of 5 year old girls? Really? Save it for the adults you want to influence in other performances.

    CUTE!

by Sarella on 8/9/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The actual show was great. My daughter LOVED it! Even at 2.5, she could sit through it because the length was perfect for kids. I was only disappointed in the fact that there were LARGE groups of children attended by only 1 or 2 adults and they were very loud and distracting. My daughter sang for days afterwards. Thanks!

    Delightful!

by songbird125 on 8/8/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I was so impressed with this musical. I have been to children's productions before that are cute, but not very polished. This show was so professional, from the sets and costumes to the staging, lighting, choreography and the talented, energetic cast. We had a wonderful time.

    Pinkalicious was wonderful!

by MomOfThreeGals on 8/8/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Such a wonderful performance! Great for kids of all ages, even the parents. The actors were amazing and had beautiful voices. All the characters were great and equally shared the stage. We sat in the second row but no seat is a bad one in this quaint theater. Would highly recommend to any Pinkalicious fan! In addition, all the characters went to the lobby after to give signatures to all the children. The wait line wasn't long and all were willing to take pictures. The theater even provided autograph "books." Worth every penny!

    Best kids play ever!

by janelett on 8/7/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This is probably the best kids theater we've seen-and we've seen A LOT! Pink was fantastic, as was the rest of the cast. My 5 year old daughter was MESMERIZED! The cast took pix with the kids afterward and it was just great! Thanks, EMERALD CITY THEATER!

    It was ok

by 1109mamabear on 8/7/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

We took our 6 year old daughter and our 4 year old son. Our daughter liked it and stayed interested for the most part. Our son was incredibly bored...I was surprised though, because he loves the book! It is an average show to see, if you don't have anything better to do.

by 2inMG on 8/6/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I love exposing my granddaughters to "theater" events. Pinkalicious was both delightful and entertaining and was a hit with our granddaughters. Children's Theater in the Chicagoland area has always been rewarding.

    Ahhh .. skip it

by KGBtheatrefan on 8/4/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Sorry to say, but Pinkalicious was not a good show. I love and support tremendously the idea of theatre for very young children, but this show made me want to run screaming from the theater. Could this have been a good show, yes. The plot was OK though a bit confusing in terms of what the main message was. Mostly the acting was so over the top crazy I would have thought this was a SNL spoof. My children did not enjoy it and had to go to Disney store after to decompress. Characterizations were blatant stereotypes and not at all likeable. On top of it the volume was waaaayyyyy too loud. Had to cover ears to muffle some of the musical numbers. Go elsewhere for theatre that will actually make your kids like theatre. Sorry, but true.

Great for small children (under age 5)

by MegFromChicago on 8/3/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

It was very kooky and geared to very small children (age 3 to 5). It was hard to get passed the "nerdiness" of the supporting characters to learn the message of the plot. I think the plot could have been developed better. My daughter was not sitting on the edge of her seat mesmermized like she has been for other musical shows.

by eandzsmom on 8/2/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My daughter and I went for her 6th birthday present. She was surprised and happy. Pinkalicious is her favorite book series. Wish I would have thought to bring it for the signatures. She liked that too.
