About

"Can't I have just one more?" When Pinkalicious eats one too many pink cupcakes, she catches a case of Pinkititis and turns pink from head to toe! It'll take the wisdom of her broccoli-eating little brother to help her get out of this predicament. Don't miss Chicago's Emerald City Theatre production of this smash hit musical based on the popular book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann. Best suited for cupcake lovers ages 3 and up.

    Pinkaliscious

by hemmrod2 on 8/1/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Actors never, once looked at people in the first 4 rows. If the actors would have included them (just a glance of eye contact) in their audience particiption activities, my granddaughter's and myself, would have enjoyed just a little more. Afterall they splash their sweat on guests in the front row.

Saw this with my almost 4 year old daughter and almost 3 year old niece. Both girls LOVED IT! The smaller theatre allowed them to feel involved in the story, they sat on the edge of their seats. The story holds very close to the book, all of the major points are hit with only a few extras that go along very well with the story. This show was definately geared toward little girls, but mom enjoyed it too. What a great way to get kids started early with the art/theatre world.

    Pinkalicious was Pinkatastic!

by Lisa89302774 on 7/25/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Our daughter was mesmerized from the moment she took her seat at Pinkalicious. This production company knows exactly how to capture and hold the attention of even the youngest audience members. The play was one hour, which was perfect. It was a combination of easy-to-understand dialog and singing. I would absolutely recommend this event to anyone with kids between the ages of three and..... well, I won't give you my age.

    Pink is Pink!

by MemeJeri on 7/24/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My granddaughters, ages 4 and 8, were delighted with the performance. They are very familiar with the books of this author and loved the musical adaptation. I would like to see more of this kind of children's works at a convenient location.

I took my 6 year old to the show with a friend...both girls loved the show. singing was great...added story lines were cute and fun-very uplifting. I highly recommend show. I wish I would have brought my 8 yr old son. Peter was fun and funny-great addition to the story too!! Get seats close up. Worth the little extra. Low budget costumes, talented performers--so smiley and exciting...

The play was amazing and young girls ages four through ten should see it. My favorite character was Pinkalicious, but I liked all the characters. The songs were awesome. I bought the CD and listened to it all the way home and every day since.

    Best Cast in the City!!!

    by LucyLin35 on 7/21/11Broadway Playhouse - Chicago

I was blown away by this production!! Having only seen the book on the shelf in the store, I was worried my daughter wouldn't like or relate to the story. I was so very wrong! Not only is it humorous, the music is catchy and fun! The actors were what surprised me the most. Since this is a children's musical, I didn't have very high expectations. Those expectations were blown out of the water!!! It's extremely hard to believe that this cast of young artists are a non-equity company. I think each and every one of them are as talented, IF NOT MORE TALENTED, than the actors I've seen in expensive equity productions. They inspired not only my daughter but myself as well. What more can I ask for?! My favorite characters were Pinkalicious, her brother Peter, and of course DR. WINK!!! She was outstanding! My daughter now wants to be a doctor and I can't complain with that! The entire cast had such energy. My daughter and I left there in high spirits and we have been singing the songs all day. I want to go again!!! Congrats to the cast of Pinkalicious! You guys are amazing!!! Thank you for creating such an amazing memory for my daughter and I. :)

    Pinkalicious

by Merriweather on 7/18/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This is a great show! There is enough going on for kids to enjoy but the way it is done adults would enjoy it too! It is a wonderful show for the whole family. The great thing about it is It breaks down the stereo type of who should wear pink They show that pink isn't just for little girls. Pink is a color that can be enjoyed by Moms, Dads, brothers, in other words anyone can and should wear pink if they want to. My granddaughters loved it and so did I. The songs were lively and fun to listen to. When the performance ended the cast was out in the lobby autographing the little books every child was given when entering the theater. It was a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to the next program given by the Emerald City Theatre.

    Pinkalicious was adorable.

by pinkaliciousgrandma on 7/18/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this production. The theater is small enough so that every seat can see the stage perfectly. The actors took the time to come out after the show to give autographs and take pictures, which my granddaughter thought was awesome.

    Pinkalicious was great!

by Size0 on 7/17/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The moral of the story behind the play was one we all need to learn; too much of a good thing is not good, and it is okay to be comfortable with who you really are and what you like. The musicians were delightful both on stage and off. Our girls enjoyed the show, and our 6 year old sat on the edge of her seat the entire time.

    Pinkalicious was "perfectly pinktastic"!!

by Gendat on 7/17/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Absolutely adorable! Perfect even for little ones as it is only an hour long. Great songs, amazing actors, lots of crowd involvement, autograph signing afterwards in their very own "playbook" with an autograph page. The actors took their time with each child, posed for photos, talked, and signed their books. I also loved that it was at 10am....perfect time for little ones, and it was a great start to a fun filled day!!! I highly recommend it!

Every little girl should see this show! It was a joy to watch and very entertaining for all ages. The actors were fun to watch and made it fun! The best part was when my niece was able to meet all the actors and get their autographs. She absolutely loved meeting them all! It is a day I will never forget!

The set was too cute! Oh yeah, my 3 and 5 year old girls thought it was pretty awesome too :) We all wanted to go out and eat pink cupcakes!!
