Pink Turns Blue on Tour

Darkwave music still has a foothold in the hearts and ears of millions, as proven by the post-punk and gothic rock group Pink Turns Blue. Pink Turns Blue is an emotionally charged German rock group formed in 1985. With extremely personal and relatable lyrics combined with dark melodic rock undertones, this group falls into a niche genre of music that creates unforgettable live performances. Currently consisting of Mic Jogwer on vocals and guitar, Reubi Walter on bass and keyboards and Paul Richter on drums, Pink Turns Blue embark on their Tainted 2022 Tour. This 28-stop tour follows the release of their 2021 album, Tainted, and will have performances in the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Releasing their debut album, If Two Worlds Kiss in 1987, Pink Turns Blue continues to produce music to this day. Among the albums they've released to date are Meta (1988), Eremite (1989), AERDT (1991), Sonic Dust (1992), Muzak (1994), Perfect Sex (1994), Phoenix (2005), Ghost (2007), Storm (2010), The AERDT - Untold Stories (2016), and Tainted (2021).

Pink Turns Blue Live in Concert

Originally formed as duo by Thomas Elbern and Mic Jogwer, Pink Turns Blue were a part of the original gothic rock wave in Cold War-era Germany. Named after a Hüsker Dü song, this band longed for a more romantic side during the uncertainty of the times. After splitting up in mid '90s, the band reformed in 2003. The band's initial sound was inspired by bands like The Chameleons, Clan of Xymox and The Cure. Pink Turns Blue's song "Something Deep Inside" was featured in the 2020 film The Madness Inside Me. The band has a strong core fanbase with more than 74,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with their songs "Walking on Both Sides" and "Your Master is Calling" having a combined more than 4 million streams.

Played nice selection of excellent songs from last 2 albums plus a few other gems. Band was tight. Venue excellent. So glad they came to the states.

  • Fantastic Show!

Can’t believe these guys are still playing 37 years after their debut album. Criminally under appreciated band who deserve a larger exposure. It was a small but diverse group of enthusiastic fans who enjoyed their show at the Echo. The audience ranged from OG goths and tattooed punks, to parents with teen children.
