Pink Martini on Tour
A massive collective with a rotating membership that's been active since the early 1990s, Pink Martini are a little orchestra that knows no stylistic bounds. Playing classical and jazz, Latin and pop, what threads their performances together is a lighthearted, jazzy vibe that basically demands you move along with it. Pink Martini have performed with over 50 orchestras in cities around the world, from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the San Francisco Symphony to the BBC Concert Orchestra. Their first live breakthrough came at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997, while their orchestral debut came in 1998 with the Oregon Symphony. The ensemble played several New Year's Eve concerts at L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall across the 2000s and early 2010s, and they've performed multiple sold-out concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall. Their live performance at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, was aired live on NPR and eventually released in 2009 as a live CD/DVD called Discover the World. The group have also graced late-night talk show stages, including Conan O'Brien, David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Pink Martini in Concert
Started by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon, in 1994 as an alternative to the event-based ensembles he'd grown tired of playing in, Pink Martini quickly attracted hugely talented musicians like China Forbes and Storm Large. Their first album, Sympathique, charted in Belgium, France and Switzerland and was certified gold in Greece, while the album's eponymous single was nominated for Song of the Year at France's Victoires de la Musique awards. Pink Martini's 2004 sophomore album, Hang On Little Tomato, charted at No. 25 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and went 2x platinum in France, also earning gold status in Canada, Germany and Greece. The group has released numerous lauded albums since, including their hugely popular A Retrospective in 2011, which contained 21 tracks from their career and charted at No. 7 on U.S. Billboard's Top Jazz Albums.

Thoroughly entertaining! Great vocals, great band!
A pure delight! my only complaint is that the concert was too short.
Their music is great and their onstage presence is outstanding! What an incredible band, with uber talented musicians! And what about the magical voice of China Forbes, who wowed me with a song from her last solo album! Enthusiastically recommend!
Pink Martini is a fabulous group- I have been following them for years. Even though they are out of Portland, Oregon they were better known in Europe than in the US for many years. That is clearly changing - and about time. They are a group of extremely talented musicians - and China Forbes is a fantastic singer, songwriter and performer. Sunday night the concert at the Broward Center - one of many 1-2 night stops on their current tour- did not disappoint. Don't miss a chance to see this group!
Love this group, but it was just 1 hr 15 min and then another 15 min. I think it's too short for this kind of concert. No intermission.. Was disappointed..usually this kind of performance should be between 90- 120min .
Concert Started on time, the Music was superb, the voice of china was amazing we love every second of it. I hope you come back soon!
What a great show ! Pink Martini keeps being a great orchestra !
Great Venue - They played 1 1/2 hours without a break - Such talented musicians/artists! Very enjoyable and I want to see them again!!
Always phenomenal entertainers … sang in 15 languages and brought so much joy to the audience ..
Amazing way to celebrate the New Year coming in with Pink Martini and a Cheers to 2025!! Wonderfully incredible performance.
PINK MARTINI put on a fabulous show in New Orleans! They are a really talented musical group. I've seen them numerous times over their 30 years of performing. I recommend you "check them out"if you have a chance!
The band sounded great and put on a Fabulous show. The only way they could improve the show would be to keep their political views to themselves. When I go out for entertainment, it is to get away from all of that. It doesn’t matter if I agree or disagree, entertainment is better without politics.
Every time I see them I love them more ❤️ The Orpheum was a perfect host!
I didn't know what to expect of this show. What a wonderful surprise! It was a fun night and we enjoyed the music. Will definitely look for them in the future for a return entertaining night and plan to ask others to come with us! Definitely a winner!
Great show wonderful music . The audience could not sit still. Wonderful way to spend the evening.
The percussion section was unbelievable! There were NO flashing lights..
A Pink Martini Concert! Is there a more delightful way to ring in the New Year? None that I can think of!! These talented and delightful people are always a joy to see and hear. They are both elegant and casual. My husband and I have been fans since the early 2000s. Their Christmas album, Joy to the World, is one of my favorites. If you've not had the pleasure of seeing them in concert treat yourself next time they're in your area. I promise that you'll be a big fan as well!
I had heard Pink Martini several times in outdoor casual venues, and always enjoyed them, but wow, hearing them in a venue (Paramount Theater in Seattle) with great acoustics was a real revelation. Their sound was just so amazing. They bring so much personality and creativity to the party, and are just so totally unique as a band. Now I want to catch them again and have much better seats! I hope they tour for years more.
Good crowd, comfortable venue and great music. Couldn’t go wrong!!
Although I've known about Pink Martini for some time now, this was the first opportunity I've had to see them in concert, and they provided the best possible way for me to celebrate the New Year. Pink Martini is exceptional in performing a broad range of musical genres and styles from Mozart and Ravel to Latin and Rock with one song that features the many countries where they perform around the world and the diverse languages of those cultures. The musicians include a great horn section, amazing percussionists, as well as a string ensemble for a full, dynamic, rich sound. The acclaimed featured vocalist China Forbes was joined by other wonderfully talented singers for solo performances including Ari Shapiro, a regular contributor to NPR news. The evening culminated with a highly festive and exuberant Brazilian samba accompanied by local percussionists and dancers in authentic Carnival costumes from VamoLa, a Seattle drum and dance ensemble. Everyone was on their feet dancing and some audience members formed a conga line. Altogether the ultimate festive experience for celebrating the New Year!
