Pink Martini on Tour
A massive collective with a rotating membership that's been active since the early 1990s, Pink Martini are a little orchestra that knows no stylistic bounds. Playing classical and jazz, Latin and pop, what threads their performances together is a lighthearted, jazzy vibe that basically demands you move along with it. Pink Martini have performed with over 50 orchestras in cities around the world, from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the San Francisco Symphony to the BBC Concert Orchestra. Their first live breakthrough came at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997, while their orchestral debut came in 1998 with the Oregon Symphony. The ensemble played several New Year's Eve concerts at L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall across the 2000s and early 2010s, and they've performed multiple sold-out concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall. Their live performance at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, was aired live on NPR and eventually released in 2009 as a live CD/DVD called Discover the World. The group have also graced late-night talk show stages, including Conan O'Brien, David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Pink Martini in Concert
Started by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon, in 1994 as an alternative to the event-based ensembles he'd grown tired of playing in, Pink Martini quickly attracted hugely talented musicians like China Forbes and Storm Large. Their first album, Sympathique, charted in Belgium, France and Switzerland and was certified gold in Greece, while the album's eponymous single was nominated for Song of the Year at France's Victoires de la Musique awards. Pink Martini's 2004 sophomore album, Hang On Little Tomato, charted at No. 25 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and went 2x platinum in France, also earning gold status in Canada, Germany and Greece. The group has released numerous lauded albums since, including their hugely popular A Retrospective in 2011, which contained 21 tracks from their career and charted at No. 7 on U.S. Billboard's Top Jazz Albums.

Musicality, Energy, Dancing. What a great show! Can't wait for the next one.
The musicianship was phenomenal, and the vocal talent of the four singers was unbeatable. And Pink Martini's engaging interaction with the audience further ensured that everyone present would always remember that night -- an evening of celebration and total joy!
Great evening with pink martini …have seen them in large venues like Wolftrap and Kennedy Center ..the birchmere was a terrific venue to pink martini ..small and more intimate.. outstanding
Pink Martini at Casino Lac Leamy was a great show! The room is great, good sound, comfortable seats, however there seems to be only one way in and one way out. the merch table was set up in the middle of the hallway, and there were cocktail tables also set up in the lobby, which made it very difficult to exit the venue quickly and efficiently. most other venues have more space to allow for easier entry and exits. It was hard not to think about how people would be impacted in an emergency situation. Elderly patrons (of which there were many) would not have a prayer of making it out quickly and safely.
Another truly delightful presentation by pink martini. The stage presence of China Forbes as well as vibrance of Thomas Lauderale never fails to energize the audience. And the stories never get old. China will be missed, however hopefully not for long.
We traveled from Phoenix to attend the “Pink” concert. The San Diego outdoor venue added to the enjoyment a most extraordinary musical performance. The band members connect with each other, also individually are amazingly talented. One hears and feels their music long after the concert ends. Thomas is beyond amazing and awesome on the piano, as is each band member on their instrument. China gave her usual outstanding performance. China will be greatly missed, but Ari and the other guest vocalists were amazing. I love you, China. I hope you return! I will see you all in Chandler Az Feb 2026!!!!
Pink Martini is a must see. I felt privileged to see China Forbes sing her final performance (for 2 years, she says) and even more lucky to see Ari Shapiro perform! What a surprise to find out he's leaving NPR to be with Pink Martini full-time. They performed all my favorite songs - Donde Estas Yolanda, Hang on Little Tomato, and so many more! I whole-heartedly recommend this band - it's a transformative experience!
This is what happens when incredible musicians come together in a tight knit Ensamble: Joy and Excellence I was sad to know that China Forbes will not be with Pink Martini for the next 2 years... The show was A SHOW !!!!
I love Pink Martini, and they didn’t disappoint, but the seating at Humphreys is horrid. I may not buy tickets there again. They need to elevate the back seats somehow.
