About

Growing out of the San Diego, California punk scene, Pierce the Veil was founded by brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes in 2007 after the demise of their previous band and furthered praise for their emo post-hardcore sound. After signing with Fearless Records in 2011, their third album Collide with the Sky was released in July 2012, peaking at No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200, as well as No. 1 on the U.S Alternative and Rock charts. They joined the Vans Warped Tour again in 2012, toured North America with A Day to Remember and All Time Low, and played for ticket buyers with Bring Me The Horizon in Europe and the U.K. in 2013. Following the break-up of the group Before Today, the brothers Fuentes continued writing songs and recorded a new full-length album in Seattle under their new moniker. This debut album A Flair for the Dramatic was released in June 2007 on Equal Vision Records. They recruited lead guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, as well as concerts with Breathe Carolina and Thursday. Their sophomore studio album Selfish Machines came out in June 2010 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

  • Awesome indoor gig

by AAAkabob on 12/7/11Crocodile Rock - AllentownRating: 4 out of 5

-Line was long and took a while but was well worth it. -many more creative possiblities for stage presence than in a bigger open stage. -was relatively clean, shady looking entrance but doesn't look scummy. -all bands were great and their sound setup weren't bad. Convient free parking lot directly to the side of where the shows take place.

  • Pierce The Veil was Awesome!

The Amity Affliction was good. Letlive was incredible as always, I could watch them for hours. Woe Is Me was pretty disappointing. Something was just off about their performance. And of course Pierce was great! I'd see them over and over again.

The other bands were less than desirable, but pierce the veil was mind blowing and made up for everything. The crowds were disrespectful and obnoxious, but i suppose thats expected. The venue is small but, I could see very well and it wasn't too loud that I felt like my ears were going to bleed. Got there on time and ended up with a good spot, even without waiting in line for more than an hour. Exiting was poorly set up since you had to wait for the band's equipment to be carried out across the path that you used to exit. Over all the music over powered all of the other short comings.

  • No Guts No Glory Tour.

by xxslavetoanguishxx on 12/4/11Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Letlive started the show just right, they interacted with the audience and the lead singer was so kind to a kid that got kicked out because he told the kid to stage dive, Amity Affliction did a good job as well, Woe, is Me know how to put a show but unfortunately their set was cut short. afterwards Pierce The Veil came on I mean of course it was their tour but apparently they came on before Miss May I. Miss May I were last to play even though they were co-headlining, I felt bad because most people left after pierce the veil played which was kind of you know messed up.

  • Pierce The Veil is amazing <3

I had already really liked Pierce The Veil before this concert but now they are officially my favorite band ever. I had a blast. Their intro was pretty awesome and Vic seemed really down to earth when he talked between songs. He also let his fans (including me :) ) get pictures and autographs with him after the show and he was really nice and funny too. This was the absolute best concert and I would strongly recommend going to see PTV :)

There really is no words to express that night. All of the performers were amazing & the crowd gave out such a positive & raging vibe. Everything was just amazing! I enjoyed myself to the point of extent & them some.

The show was great! Every band did an awesome job. And even though it seemed like a weird mix of bands on this tour, everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy touring with each other.

Letlive- My first time seeing and hearing them. Put on a great show. They were definitely a great opener. Their stage presence was good. I have never seen a vocalist with the energy their's had. Their sound was in the same genre as The Amity Affliction, Woe Is Me and Miss May I. They all played more than one instrument whether it was cleans and screams or drums and morocco. They played all their instruments very well. The Amity Affliction- first time seeing them live. They are the only metal band from Australia that i have ever heard or seen. They did fit in with all the bands except Pierce The Veil. They had a good stage presence. Their clean vocalist preformed better than most clean vocalist preform live. Woe I Me- I was pleased with the performance from all the member except Hance Alligood. My opinion is that they need to change all the songs or get new ones if they are going to keep Hance. It is nothing against Hance because he is a good vocalist but he just has a sound nowhere near what Tyler Carter could do. They did have some parts of songs pre-recorded with Tyler's voice and I do not like when bands do that. They all had great stage presence and did interact with the crowd well. After their set i met both the guitarist and Hance. They were all nice as the whole band seems to be. Pierce The Veil- Within their genre and show style they did not belong on this tour. They did have a moderately good stage presence. Miss May I-They had a good stage presence. They sound very good live although Levi's scream sound a tad bit different than on recording. Ryan's cleans were very good. They all were very good with their instruments. During the set they had Jerod do a drum solo while the rest of the band left the stage and came back after. I was a fan of this drum solo and it is something i have never seen at a heavy show before. After the show I met Justin and he was a very nice guy as they all see to be.

I liked "Let Live". That was all, but the enthusiasm of all groups and fans was almost contagious.

This show was amazing. It was an unforgettable night, with all artists performing amazingly. I one these guys and would go again. Great club too.

With 5 powerful up and coming bands, it was no wonder the show was sold out! Letlive and their amazing stage presence set a high bar for the show. The Amity Affliction was beyond crowd engaging. Woe is Me was asked for an encore and for great reason. Pierce The Veil and Miss May I definitely proved why it was a fantastic idea for a Co-Headlining tour. I recommend ANY on these bands' shows!

  • Wish I could go again!

by Careyoke on 11/28/11Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

I would recommend going to a show at Culture Room. These bands were amazing! The only issue I had, was the amount of people there under 18. It was like a middle school field trip. I also wish Woe, Is Me had some more playing time, but AWESOME show none the less!

i wasn't a huge fan of letlive or amity affliction but oh man, Woe, Is Me and Miss May I WERE SOO GOOD. Pierce the Veil was pretty good. Not really my style, but they put on a good show.

PTV came out with lots of energy and kept it up the entire show. Their set was amazing. They talked to the crowd, made sure we were having a good time, and let us know what they're up to with upcoming tours.

  • Pierce the Veil was worth everything!

by xmonicaznx on 1/7/11The Basement - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Well this was my very first concert ever! This was my birthday gift because my birthday was the 4th. I never heard of the bands that played before Pierce the Veil but once they started playing I like melted. They were all so amazing and super cool! I even touched one of the guy's nipples and grabbed his ass. Hahah, Pierce the Veil was everything I expected and SOOOO much more! I'm so happy I finally went. That was honestly the best day of my life so far. <3

  • Pierce the Veil is AMAZING

by Molzz on 12/10/10Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw them along with several others on This Is A Family Tour. Out of all five bands, they amazed me. They sounded great live and knew how to get the crowd pumped. I love Vic's voice and Jaime kept the energy alive all night, which was hard, seeing as they were the third set, everyone was pretty tired. They were amazing and afterwards the friend I went with -who is a huge Attack Attack fan and claimed no one could be better than them- agreed with me the Pierce the Veil was the BEST band that played that night. I'd definitely recommend going to see them! I'll probably go again, they're just that fantastic.
