Philadelphia 76ers History
The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the league's first franchises. Founded in 1946 and playing their first NBA season in 1949, the team was introduced as the Syracuse Nationals and played home games in upstate New York.
After moving to Philadelphia in 1963 and adopting the 76ers moniker in honor of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the city in 1776, the team has had a prominent history featuring several players who would go on to be inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame: Dolph Schayes, Hal Greer, Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson.
The 76ers have made 54 playoff appearances and earned nine trips to the NBA Finals, winning three national championships. Chamberlain, Erving, Malone, Iverson and Joel Embiid have all also been named the NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the 76ers, for a total of seven MVP awards. In 2024, Tyrese Maxey collected the franchise’s second Most Improved Player Award after Dana Barros in 1995.
The Philadelphia 76ers organization is part of the Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment ownership group.

Too bad 76ers lost though. But got to see Dr. J in the anniversary of the 82-83 championship
Surprise tickets for my husband center court 13th row…. 76ers win / Husband happy/ perfect night ❤️🏀❤️
Our son is a HUGE 76ers fan so we surprised him with first row tickets to a game as an early graduation present. We had a great time and the game was crazy! They were behind the entire game and pulled it off with only 1 second left!
Great experience. Got the tickets for a bday gift. Enjoyed the game, came down to the last second. Good seats. Concessions a little pricy but parking, entry, and all else good.
Absolutely zero legroom. Food and drinks too expensive.
Every one was respectful and everything just flow accordingly
$44 for 1 order of fries, one soda and one beer. Parking $25( I think this actually went down from previous years) One ticket upper level $70-160. Seats in Wells Fargo Center are extremely tight with zero leg room and if you are even the slightest bit overweight, good luck squeezing into the seats. It’s actually scary to get out of your row around people with so little room and in the upper level it is so steep it would be very easy to fall forward and be injured Even though it was a sold out event due to playing the Grisslies, since the sixers were losing so badly throughout the majority of the game, the crowd was silent and bored.
Great game, great atmosphere… Wells Fargo Center is a family friendly arena and I highly recommend attending a Sixers game there. Sixers fans are the greatest !!
This was a gift to my son so we could watch the game together. The tickets (Sec 116, Row, Seats 1-2) were not next to each other. There was a steel railing in between them and seat #1 was about 2-3 feet below seat #2. I literally could not high-five my son during the game because we were separated by the loft and raining. There was no way to see this would be the case when I purchased these premium seats. A customer should be able to assume that seats 1-2 (in the same row) are next to each other. These were expensive tickets and I was very disappointed.
I saw the 76ers play the Nuggets and it was a fantastic game!! I took my 14-year old son with me and our seats were in the second level. I was concerned about the view that we would have, but I don't think you can really have a bad seat at the Wells Fargo Center. My only complaint would be that the souvenir t-shirts they were launching into the crowd, never came close to where we were. The prices of the concessions are a bit much, but that's to be expected. #TRUSTTHEPROCESS
This was a Christmas gift for cousins to spend time together. It was very difficult to purchase 9 tickets together so we opted for the assembly room. Way too many people and difficult to see the game. They should limit the amount of people and have more seats that can see the game. Great game at least!!
The 76ers themselves are fantastic. Had a great time watching the game itself and all of the music, pre-game and in game events were really cool. My biggest issue is the Wells Fargo Center itself. They made so many great improvements to the look and feel, vendors and overall appearance but it's clear to me that all they care about is shoving as many seats as possible into the arena. It is SO VERY UNCOMFORTABLE in the seats if you're not super model skinny and very short. The seat sizes are ridiculously small and there is zero leg room. They need to do much much better to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome at the arena.
The Assembly area seemed to be oversold. There were hundreds of small children who took every available seat, and their hawking parents made sure that no-one else could possibly see the game. It was a bad look for the Sixers and Ticketmaster.
My wife surprised me with tickets to the nets-76ers game she knows how much I love basketball and she spent her hard own time and money doin this and it’s a memory I’ll I never forget it love you baby😘
This was the most fun at a basketball game I ever had! My Row 1 seats were fire! The crowd was wild, cheering, just going nuts. I cant wait to go again!
With a lack of people checking tickets, multiple rows of people had to stand up throughout game action to let people in and out of seats for which they were not ticketed.
It was amazing show. Everything was perfect and the game was unreal. Thank you !
I had a great time at the 76ers game, the atmosphere was great as well as the Wells Fargo centre !
We R Old School , and hav Never used Mobile Tickets. Was ALWAYS Cash for parking and ticket bought usually credit card, then they mailed U a paper ticket, in hand!!! It was Soo Easy! Step by Step Instructions…. Even with parking, we waited till we got there and paid only $25… We took our 7 year old Grandson to his 1st 76er Game!!! We ALL Had a Blast, MANY Photos and Videos taken!!! I Recommend JUST DO IT!!! U Won’t Regret It!!!
We purchased first row seats as a gift for my 9 year old. The tickets were pricey, obviously, but we wanted to be close since this was his first game! The way the "floor seats" were set up, they sat higher than the first row. Since my son is little, he could not see over the adults in the rows in front of us. We would have been better off buying 4th row since they sit on an incline. We still had a great time, but he had to watch much of the game on the jumbotron.
