About

Lauded as an experimental and alternative band and one that's never been married to a particular genre, Phantogram - comprised of lifelong friends Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel - have continued to change the zeitgeist for almost a decade by consistently challenging it with their signature blend of hard-hitting beats, guitar driven dark psychedelia and electronic pop. Since the arrival of 2010's debut release, Eyelid Movies, the duo has amassed over a billion streams, achieved one platinum-certified single, two gold-certified singles, collaborated with legends such as Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, The Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus, partnered with Big Boi of Outkast to form supergroup Big Grams, headlined sold out shows worldwide, become a festival staple and toured with artists including Arcade Fire, The xx, Muse, M83, alt-J and more.

With major campaigns for Apple TV+, Peloton and Apple Watch, and additional placement in multiple TV shows, the band's reach has never been so wide

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Phantogram rocked it. They packed the house and had awesome energy levels! Their sound is really their own and the vocals from both of artists were impressive."

"Unreal. Phantogram brought so much energy, had an incredible light setup, and played an incredible set."

it was hard to hear their voices. the music was too loud and drowned them out. besides that it was awesome.

    Very nice!

An excellent show! A fan of Phantogram heading in, a superfan on the way out. A great mix of new and old material. I just wish it have been later in the tour so I could have been more familiar with the music on the new EP that was released last Tuesday. If they are headed to your city this show will be time and money well spent.

Phantogram is one fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and see them now before you have to start throwing down big bucks to see them headline festivals in the future.

    Phantogram

by Dubie on 11/7/10Fine Line Music Cafe - Minneapolis

You know how sometimes certain groups just sound better cranked up at home versus watching them live? At the time, I wasn't sure if Phantogram was going to fall into that category. However, once the concert started, I had no doubt that it was going to be great! For whatever reason, I was just expecting it to be Joshua Carter and Sarah Barthel but there was also a drummer. I really like that there was a drummer (who was working his arse off) and I would have liked it even more if he was up closer to the front of the stage or propped up. The music sounded great (with a touch of surreal ;-) ). I loved the lighting, what was playing on the screen in the background, how Sarah & Joshua got into it/ danced, and the set list. The crowd completely got into it. Bonus: I knew that Sarah was beautiful, but I wasn't expecting Joshua to be such eye-candy!!!! I definitely would (& have in fact) recommend seeing Phantogram.

They have such a killer sound. She looks like a rockstar and sounds like an angel and he is your average joe. Fun juxtaposition.

Phantogram - better than last performance

by sweetsugarsunshine on 11/1/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

I enjoyed this performance much better than the last time i saw them at Bowery Ballroom in March. They have definitely improved in entertainment value. As always, the music was awesome. It was my first time at MHOW and i like the venue, it's cozy and intimate.

    Dope show

by SquintEastwood on 9/27/10Governors Island - New York

I was really into these guys the entire time they were on stage. However more live band members would make it 100x better. At least a drummer. Having background loops being played and an arpeggio do 80% of the work for you isn't really "live" material. But none the less, I loved it still.

    unforgettably mediocre:(

by Tysona on 9/25/10Paradise Rock Club - Boston

    >The music drowned out most of the lyrics >They stopped playing on a couple occasions due to equipment failure > very short set, it seemed like only six songs or so >anticlimactic end to the show. >the opener was actually more engaging than the main act I have to mention that I drove an hour and a half to see them and I've decided they sound way better on recording. P.S. Never eat at the pub at the paradise. The food is terrible.

    Very Good Show

by Anonymous on 5/20/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Railbird was great and should get more exposure. The second band, lighthouse (I think), was forgettable. They were average at best and at times were awful. Phantogram was really good though. They were energetic and generally put on a great show.
