    Peter Pan was great!

by LMR29 on 8/25/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

I really enjoyed myself, as did my daughter. She is an acting major at Columbia College in Chicago and I think it inspired her even more that she made the right decision. She and I had a wonderful time!

    wonderful performance....however

by jm960 on 8/23/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

The performance as a whole was fantastic!! definitely a must-see. Coming from a more technical side myself, I felt the lighting, cues, and effects were stupendous! However, the staff of threesixty was a big dissapointment, seeing as I have been to many shows in the chicago area and have never experienced a staff member with an attitude along with much rudeness...some staff members were not welcoming at ALL and presented themselves as if they were bored and were not enjoying their job. They were also very unpleasant when I asked for help finding my seat and did not seem to care much at all. I believe in a different atmosphere, with employees that care about what they do, the show and complete experience would've been one of my favorites...as of now, in my opinion the threesixty staff needs to "step up their game" and enjoy themselves, although it may be the "millionth" time they were working this show. In my mind any one person that belongs to the theater is always auditioning, and should always be in character, whether they are the lead role or picking up trash after the show ends. Customer and audience satisfaction should always be number one in a business such as this. Overall, the show itself was spectacular, and definitely a must-see. It is great for all audiences and deserves the recgonition it has been given!

Peter Pan was great..but I feel cheated

by VonEcker on 8/23/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

The play was fantastic, extremely entertaining. However there was a technical delay ten minutes before the scheduled intermission, and I was also annoyed by the fact that the venue kept letting people enter in after the play began in mid-scene, ruining the show at crucial moments for all who came in on time. Also the venue did not have enough food on hand for even a fraction of the audience which was in my opinion pathetic. I also wish that they made the town look more inhabited with actual people as you flew overhead, instead of a generic computer model of an empty city with a few lights on. I am not a person who can easily afford to go out and drop $200 on a play but I did so that my girlfriend and I could have a special day out together. I actually had to work two whole days to afford these seats and I can't help but feel jipped by the Chicago Freedom Center.

    Peter Pan was amazing

by Junemomma on 8/23/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

The graphics were awesome - said my 8 year old son. Peter Pan happens to be my all time favorite story - were we all to stay young forever - if not in body in hearts and mind - what a world we would live in. The characters were played so well and lovable - even Hook. I felt like I was flying when the graphics were in motion. The simplicity added to the charm and "awesome"ness. Must see - and will see again in the future. Tink was a brat true to her character and so undeniably cute. Was surprised at the "silly ass" and "damn" during the dialog with so many children patrons- but it was quite fitting during the story line. Slight mishap that delayed 15 minutes was not explained to audience - but was worth the trip and traffic into the city.

Very cool set, and the flying scenes were cool, but the story line is a bit dull. It's worth a watch though.

Just saw Peter Pan for the second time. This time with my 4 year old and 6 year old grandsons. They loved it, as I did. Shouldn't be missed.

    Unigue experience

by mopiano on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

Loved it! The visuals were amazing!! The acoustics not so good. We missed quite a bit of the dialogue, but the five of us loved it. All five of us are adults. We brought no children and certainly enjoyed it. Special effects were spectacular! Looking forward to another event at this venue!

    Peter Pan performance (Chicago)

by bjwcfpc on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

Overall, it was an enjoyable performance. Sitting in row N, we had to deal with the background noise of the air conditioning blowers which made some of the dialogue impossible to hear. My additional impression was that some of the hearing difficulty related to a sub par sound system. The sound technicians need to sit in row N with the HVAC system running when they run through the preperformance sound checks to insure that all patrons can hear what is being said.

    Exciting

by Solomonsammy on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

The entire crew was exciting to watch, and to be a part of the story was a wonderful idea. It felt as if we were part of the story, and would recommend this show to anyone.

Peter Pan is unique & creative!

by schmety on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

Not a bad seat in the house! You could sit anywhere and see the show very well. You felt like you were a part of it with the small crowd & size of the theater. Use of the stage & screens was excellent! I would definitely go see it again. The only thing I didn't like was the comedic use of *ss. It was funny the first time, but they did it 2 or 3 times and there are kids at the show who will more than likely go home saying it.

    A little disappointing

by kimco57 on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

The play is set up in a tent and was well air conditioned. The seats were a little close together but not too much of an inconvenience. There wasn't a lot of staging but what was there was done well. I really enjoyed the young woman playing Tinker Bell. Her performance was entertaining and fun without being over the top. It is my understanding that the young man playing Peter Pan the night we attended was the understudy. He did not have the demeanor nor physical presence that one would expect of the fiesty and energetic Peter. There was little there that would make you believe that Tinker Bell or Wendy would be contending for him. However he did have great diction and projection. If this were a college performance I would recommend it but as a professional performance I would not.

    Peter Pan Disappointed

by Renee2727 on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

I was disappointed they didnt have more music when they were flying in the air and bring more of the movie back to the stage. They changed the story too much and Im sorry, tinkerbell should have worn GREEN, not pink. Was ok and my kids were getting bored. They turned to me 3x when they used bad languarge. The celing scenery was nice.

Theatre in a tent! What a neat way to make you step into a different land and get started on your journey. Tinker Bell was especially fun. Crock was unique as was the special effects flying through London. Glad we were finally able to get there.

    Fantastic

by DiVilla on 8/22/11Chicago Tribune Freedom Center North - Chicago

I've never seen a play in a tent and the way they did the back drop on the tent's ceiling was awesome and the colors were so vibrant. I REALLY enjoyed the play and I don't even have kids. My cousin and I were so happy we decided to see Peter Pan before it left Chicago. 5 stars!!!
