About

At just 20 years old, Peter McPoland creates the kind of finespun folk-pop that feels both beautifully lived-in and undeniably original. McPoland picked up guitar at the age of 14 and taught himself to play, finding lessons to be too regimented. Within a year he'd started writing his own songs, mining inspiration from folk artists like John Prine and Gregory Alan Isakov. As shown on breakout hits like his self-released single "Romeo & Juliet," the Texas-bred artist has an incredible gift for capturing the most nuanced emotional experiences, then bringing that expression to life in idiosyncratic detail.

  • Another great Peter McPoland Concert!

by Ulla on 11/8/25House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

Peter is a musician who always gives everything! This is the second Peter concert we went to and it was an electrifying reminder of why live music matters. It was a great night: authentic, emotional, and utterly alive!

I’ve never had a better experience, went into the pit and ended up in the third row, where a 4 foot little mom picked me up and got me to crowd surf😭 the people were so nice and respectful and had such a genuine good energy, and Peter was amazing live, I feel like you had to know the songs prior to really hear him tho.

  • THE BEST SHOW EVER!!

    by Amber N on 4/30/24Rating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I ever went to. This was my first time seeing Peter live and he did not disappoint!! He interacted with the crowd and had a lot of energy. I met him after the show and he was the nicest guy I have ever met! He is so down to earth and kind. He took the time after the show to meet and talk with all of us. He is truly a great performer and truly cares/appreciates his fans. I had so much fun!!

  • Concert Newbie

by Zee on 4/30/24The Bluestone - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The space was intimate and fun but it was hard to decipher any of the words that were being said or sung. It might've had to do with our position new the speakers.

  • Amazing show, felt oversold

by Ando on 4/29/24Majestic Theatre - MadisonRating: 4 out of 5

Peter mcpoland was amazing!! I loved every second of the concert. My only complaint would be how packed in everyone was. There was really no room for anyone to move. I was pressed up against the bar and there was nowhere for me to go. But wow, I will see peter mcpoland every time he's nearby.

  • Good music good stage presence

by Katie on 4/21/24The Bluestone - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Peter McPoland has a great ability to engage his audience from the moment he walks on stage. He gave 110% on every song and it showed in his performance. There was some minor technical difficulties towards the beginning of the show but he managed to keep the crowd entertained while they were remedied. It was also clear that he was having fun performing. Peter McPoland was laughing and making little jokes with the band while keeping up the energetic pace of the show.

This was by far my favorite concert I’ve ever been too and almost drove to another state to see him again, such great crowd interaction and immaculate vibes. 10/10 cannot wait to see again
