What a great show, openers were fantastic (The all Japanese, all girl band, The Suzens) and led perfectly into PBJ. They played a nice set full of classics and new material and didn't waste anytime coming out to start or for their encore. Great show!
My experience seeing Peter Bjorn and John was the best first-concert experience I could have hoped for, even despite the fact that I had laryngitis that evening. The Trocadero was a great venue for the concert, and the band performed very well and with a lot of energy, despite the fact that John had injured his shoulder recently. What I'll remember most those is the chance I had to meet Peter and see John when they came into the audience during the opening act, Memoryhouse (which was a good act, unlike the first act Work Drugs). Not only are Peter Bjorn and John talented musicians but they are also friendly people, and my experience was amazing and unforgettable. I hope they are able to come back to Philly and even the Trocadero.
Hearing them live was phenomenal, and even gave me a new view on some of their songs. They were energetic, fun and exciting. The event was at the Trocadero, so a much more intimate venue and did a great job of making it feel fun and casual. Got to see them really up close, and was so worthwhile. The only thing I'd wish was that they had played longer!
Wonderful venue. Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful music. Purely superb.
Despite canceling a few earlier shows on this tour because of an injury to the drummer (John), Peter Bjorn and John were able to play their Philly show with a little help from an extra percussionist. They sounded great and were full of energy. Surprised there were not more people there.
Both opening bands were good, which is a plus considering I'd never heard of either. PB & J themselves were awesome, with a lot of interaction with the crowd and energy to their performance.
Right from the start of things i was taken away. They did not stop there either, the setlist seemed like it went on forever in the best way possible. Every song was done amazingly and Peter single handedly brought Sweden with him and represented it as he jumped about the stage. Bjorn and John stage presence was evident throughout the show as well. Simply an amazing show.
Amazing. Better live than on record. Great Performers.
Great show - they brought a lot of energy to the performance and were fun and engaging.
High energy and lots of rock and roll kicks. Tons of fun.
Having decided to go to both Toronto shows, I went into the second one, after the moving performance the night before, thinking I wouldn't care if they played the exact same set again, it was so good. However, they played an almost entirely different set, covering yet again terrific older material, as well as great new songs. The show was every bit as exciting, and coming out of the weekend I'm feeling a bit sore and exhausted from the whole thing. In short, I can't wait until they come to the region again.
One of the best shows I've ever seen. The setlist was just the right mix of old and new, and the band's stage presence and performance didn't leave a single dull moment.
Peter Bjorn and John were incredible. So interactive and great live. The opener rocked also. Venue was awesome too.
This was my first time seeing them in concert. They sounded so AMAZING live!!! Peter, Bjorn, & John had great stage presence.
SO. GOOD. They stretched the songs out, had fun with everything they did... it was perfect. And I loved their accents. But, after seeing them live, I think I've fallen in love with Peter.. So far, its unrequited. I'll keep you guys updated though.
This concert was fantastic! These guys are great musicians, they have a blast playing their music, and the fans get all the benefits. Sure the songs on the new album are fun, but the way these guys rocked out live, they pumped up the music to a whole new level. They play with tons of energy and let their own individual personalities shine through. What was especially cool was that the barricade normally set up about 10 ft. from the stage in this venue was not in place for this concert, so fans could be right up at the stage allowing Peter and Bjorn to interact and touch the audience. Peter also came singing through the crowd and playing harmonica. Also surprising, they all came out to the lobby after the show for autographs and pictures. These guys really care about the fans and pour their hearts into the show. One of the better concerts I've seen. If you like these guys at all, do not miss them live!
Fantastic energy, lots of dancing and crowd interaction. You should see this band!
Greatest show I've seen in a while!! These guys have sooo much energy, charisma, and talent it is unbelievable.
I was very impressed with the performance at this show. I didn't really know what to expect. This show rocked. On disc they are very poppy and pleasant. In concert they have an edge to them that I didn't expect. Plus, the performances of the band members was very energetic. I couldn't help but feel like I was at a Cheap Trick Show before they got huge. I definitely recommend seeing this band live.
