    Played most of my favorites

by pprocks on 4/25/11Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

This was an awesome show. Pete Yorn played a good mix of slow and fast; old and new. I went to the show skeptical that he would play mostly stuff from the new album. I was pleasantly surprised that he mixed it up.

    sound sucked

by wants2fly on 4/24/11Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

I think they hired a bunch of unpaid interns as the stage crew. Mics cut out mid song. Transfer from opening act to Pete Yorn took way to long. Sound sucked. Left early.

    Pete Yorn @ Centerstage

by MattyV on 4/24/11Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

Centerstage is one of the top three venues in the state of Georgia period. Pete and his band sounded great... decent show. Ben Kweller opened. Ben was great but he only did acoustic so that was sorta yawnish. But overall, any show you can see at Centerstage is a good one

    Very Good

by Bstanding on 4/24/11Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

The concert was really good. I went to go see Ben Kweller because I love him, and I knew that I would probably like Pete Yorn too. The only thing that bothered me: The tickets said 9:00pm on them, and the concert must really have started at 9pm...I mean, we got there at 9:15 and Ben Kweller had already played a couple songs! I was disappointed with this because I thought there would be an opening act, but there wasn't. I didn't like that we only saw Ben play 4 or 5 songs.. Not cool! Make sure you get there on time!!! Pete Yorn was a little generic rock, but still really goood. I dug it.

He was spectacular! He mainly played Musicforthemorningafter, his best record in my preference. The only song I would have also like to listen is the burrito song. Overall, it was what I expected and would see him again. He grew out his hair and it was very shaggy!

    Pete was awesome!

by HOBconcert on 4/11/11House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I've seen Pete Yorn several times & he never dissappoints! Always a great mix of upbeat rock songs that you can rock to mixed with some more mellow tracks. If you're a fan of his music, he's a must see live!

Ben Kweller was absolutely amazing. I loved that it was a stripped down performance and I loved how intimate the venue was. He is so amazingly talented and down to earth and really connected with the audience and talked to everyone . Our seats were front row and I bought them for a standard price so it was great. I really did not know too much of Pete Yorn's stuff but I loved him as well. He really connected to the audience as well and had a great band and sound. I loved his projections in the back and overall had a great time. My only complaint is for the people of Las Vegas, why was this not sold out?????

    Pete Yorn @ Regency SF

by PYfanSF on 4/7/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

The concert was amazing! He played for a while and sounded great! I loved how he told short stories in between a few of his songs. You get a picture of some of the inspiration that created the songs. He had some guitar changes and I wished he would have played more acoustic, but thats ok because his band sounded really good. You could tell they were real pros-very polished. Good live shows are hard to come by these days and Pete Yorn definitely did not disappoint. He's on the list of concerts to never miss!

    Pete Yorn was great

by ASRIVERCATS on 4/7/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

Always put on a great show. Sounds were good. Only problem and NOT WITH P YORN, was with Regency Ballroom and they closed off up starirs seating that has chairs and that was one of the reasons we went to this place because of standing for hours on an open floor get old.

Was so surprised and excited that Pete played the whole album, musicforthemorningafter. I loved that he told the whole story of how each song came to be. The energy and sound of the whole show was incredible. I have seen Pete three times and he tops himself every time.

    Pete Keeps Getting Better

by PYrocks on 4/7/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

This was the 8th PY show I've seen and he just keeps getting better. It helps to be a huge fan and love his music, but I took someone to the show who knows nothing about Pete and he had a blast. This was an anniversay show for mftma and true to his word he played every song from start to finish. Normally Pete is a quiet guy on stage, but in SF he was charming, funny, gave some background on how songs came to life. He rocked the house, finishing up by bringing Ben Kweller on stage for encore, which was great, a very talented musician too (very amusing too!). Overall it was an excellent happy nite finishing up with Rock Crowd and Crystal Village. Woo hoo.. the only bmmer was the crowed kinda stunk.. very subdued and boring...

Sound mix was bad but Pete is great

by DissapointedSoupFan on 4/7/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

Unfortunately the sound was an issue at this show. Pete's voice was very muffled and it was hard to hear the lyrics. The mixing was bad and there was also an issue with the bass guitar. Pete is great but he wasn't at his best at this show - I have seen him before in NY where he seemed much more "into it'. He played all the new stuff upfront, I think he even mentioned something about 'getting it out of the day' so it felt a little rushed. He did play all his best/classic songs. In any case, I love his music and am still glad I went. The venue was cool too, it was my first time at the Regency Ballroom.

Pete Yorn: Too Much Video, Too Many Lights!

by ddonovan on 4/7/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

We saw Pete Yorn play acoustically at Hopmonk and that was perfect: smaller venue, easy to see/hear the great music - so we looked forward to seeing him with his full band at Regency. The strobe lighting was irritating, the background video screen had little connection to the music played and was distracting, and there was virtually no seating. See 'seating' comments: we snagged a seat due to disability but there must have been 50-80 people nosing around for some kind of seating, while a balcony overhead with plenty of seating was closed off.
