The event was great, there were two tihings I did not like. It was extremely cold all the time, and it would of been nice it there was a big screen to have a better view of the set. Otherwise it was really nice, great sound, live orchestra was fantastic.

The show was amazing my husband and I are very happy to have attended. I would like to recommend the show it is very professional the actors are very talented. The show kept us laughing most of the time and to see how well the show is so well organized it’s just amazing. We were also happy the way the place had good people making sure we found our seats in a very easy matter. It is an unforgettable experience.

We had a fantastic time. Never a lull. The political aspect was totally unexpected but necessary for that time as well as today. Romance and politics !!!!!!Always a success. We loved the music and sometimes felt we were at the Mambo club.

  • Awesome!

All the performers are amazing!! All of them read their lines perfectly and naturally. There were a few mishaps but the way the actors played it off with the audience was hilarious. Araceli Arambula & William Levi worked great together. Niurka Marcos is truly beautiful and performed great. Tongolele is amazing. She can still shake it! Andres Garcia, I've loved him since I was a little girl. He still looks great and performed great as well. La Sonora Santanera is my father's favorite band. I grew up listening to their music. Watching my parents enjoy the live music was just unbelievable. I can go on and on about each actor/actress but that will require a lot of time and space here. Bottom line: Perfume de Gardenia is a must see performance and it's for all ages!!

  • Gardenia played by Aracely.arrambula was genius.

It was a fun show, but rather lengthy. The 9:45PM show didn't end til almost 12:45, and it felt like a long stretch. The large music numbers were lively and fun to watch, but a lot of the comedy was lame and forced and practically offensive, in terms of sexist and stereotypical humor. It was strange that the production didn't do more with the title song.It was rendered by the orchestra at the very closing, while the cast members took their bows. That seems like rather shabby showcasing for the title tune! Another strange occurence was that there were two Carribean-looking (dark-skinned) cast members who weren't mentioned in the program booklet. These two singers were featured prominently in one production number (they were on center-stage), yet there was absolutely no light on them. They were dancing on the center stairway completely in the dark. It looked like a gross mistake, but maybe it wasn't! Also, I think the orchestra deserved to be singled out for recognition and applause more than they were. I'd like to know the name of the lead singer that sang lead on the title song at the very end. Another annoyance during the show: several in the seats around us were holding their cam-phones in the air to film the entertainers. That was very distracting as it blocked the view of those of us sitting behind them. Also: there was very cold air blowing thru the vents during most of the show. It got very chilly for an extended time!
