Definitely not the NHL, but great hockey for the price. The seats were great, and four goals scored in the last period made it a lot of fun.
So we are from St. Louis and used to taking in hockey games at the Scott Trade Center. The Civic Center was small, really small. That's is the only negative I have if you can even call it that. From the time we set foot in the building to the time we went back to our hotel, my husband and I had a blast. Glass seats were $28.00. $28.00!!!!! Blue line!!! (min. $200.00 at STC). Beers were $6.00 ($9.50 for a draught at STC)!!! The staff were so nice and very friendly. We purchased two authentic jersey's and got 4 free tickets!! We had the best anniversary!!
This game was awesome. Sits were pretty bad but we were upgraded to glass seats by the ice girls!!
We are Chicago Blackhawks fans and wanted to see the Rockford Ice Hogs play, so we went to the Peoria Civic Center to see the game. The hockey was pretty average. It is a nice, large arena, and was maybe a little more than half full. Unfortunately, our seats were not very good, because people kept standing on the landing directly in front of us. That was annoying.
Great seats and good hockey played that day. Looking forward when I can go back.
Great game, good seats, if you love hockey & want to have some fun
A fun, relatively inexpensive event. Definitely enjoying a few more games this season!!
The game itself was great, as hockey always is. The "entertainment" walking around needed to put clothes on however. There were girls from Peoria Rivermen wearing skimpy shorts & tight clothes. There were girls from the radio station wearing even less. If we wanted to see T&A we would have gone to Hooters. My 10yr old daughter commented on this as she felt uncomfortable. This was not an issue last time we were at a Peoria Rivermen game, and we will NOT be back until these women put some decent clothes on. Oh, and I will influence as many people as I can as well.
The only reason we went to this game was for my 8 year old daughter to get to see the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. We thought they were performing before the game, but they didn't. Once the game started we went into the hall and found that they were signing autographs. The line closed as soon as we got in it. We were told they would be back out between periods and after the game. Between the 1st & 2nd period, we went out, stood in line, and were told they weren't coming back out. We went back to our seats only to find out they did come back out. We went and got in line again, and just as we were the next to get autographs, they closed the line. We went out again, between the 2nd & 3rd period and got in line, again to be told they weren't coming back out. We waited and waited in case they did. Finally when there was only about 5 minutes left of the game, we left. And, when the cheerleaders performed the 1st time, they were facing the other side of the rink. We thought surely they'd face our side the 2nd performance- but no they didn't. And, to top it all off, there was a person sitting right in front of us with such bad body odor that we were all gagging. My daughter was thoroughly disappointed, and we wasted $130 to a hockey game that we didn't even want to see. The communication about what was going on with the cheerleaders and with the event staff was TERRIBLE. We will not be returning to a Riverman Hockey game any time in the near future. It was a horrible, disappointing experience.
Really enjoyed the mascot and his ability to pump up the crowd. Nice to see a good crowd! Lots of unsupervised children sitting in seats that clearly were not theirs.
My daughter is a fan.. this was my first time goin and had a great time. Looking forward to the next time we go.
We would highly recommend an evening of Rivermen hockey. Nice facility, reasonably priced and a neat little city.
The atmosphere and the crowd makes this game very fun and the arena is very nice so much fun ! And so reasonable !
I went to the game with my almost 9 year-old son. It was his first live hockey game, and we had a blast! The food was pretty good for arena fare. The game was riveting and very quick paced. We also got free t-shirts and a coupon for Applebee's. The crowd was not unruly but was totally into the game.
We had a great time. To bad it's 2 1/2hrs from St.Louis.
Coming from Minnesota, it was an unexpected surprise to be able to watch the farm systems of both the Blues and Wild. My son and I had a great time, had great seats and got to see some future NHL's. I really appreciated the low cost of the concessions in addition to the reasonable ticket prices.
The Rivermen played a great game!!! There was lots of crowd interaction. My family really enjoyed it:-)
Even though the Rivermen lost the game was a lot of fun! We were able to attend something close to home with good prices and watch a game that was worth it. Highly recommend the Rivermen games its a great way to spend any night with friends!
The game was exciting, fast and the kids and I enjoyed it.
We had a good time, in great seats! This was the first time my daughter has attended a game and she really enjoyed herself. She is excited to go back again!
