We had a great time as always watching the Rivermen!!!!!
Game was good they played hard. Beer was ice cold. Prices were reasonable.
Good time. May want to want to keep jacket on. Located near concession stand and restrooms.
I have never been to a hockey game before so I was slightly worried I would not enjoy myself. The experience proved me wrong. I am now a Peoria Rivermen fan :)
We attended the Rivermen game for my husband's 40th birthday. The game and audience were fun to watch, and the arena was well organized. I thought the arena did a good job of making the experience oriented toward families. Had a great time.
I attended my first Riverman hockey game and I was not disappointed. The whole experience was positive, good food and tickets at a reasonable price. And some exciting hockey too. The Civic Center is clean and inviting. I recommend anyone who loves hockey to come and take in a game. Peoria is lucky to have such a hockey tradition with the Rivermen. I visit from out of town on business and I'm definitely going to another game. Come check it out, a great experience.
Game was great...I just wish there was a venue that has addiquate seating without rubbing elbows amoung other parts with the person sitting next to you. Seating is way to cramped!
The venue was great, easy to get to, easy parking, and great prices! Good game.
Great entertainment along with a hockey game:) Lots of action and fun announcing! We had an awesome time as a family!
The Rivermen were on and they were very exciting to watch. Only bad thing is they only sold Budweiser, so my friend and I had to go somewhere else for our beers. They use to sell all brands, so it was a great disappointment not to have a beer while watching the game. Was excited to once again see the Rivermen playing.
The Peoria Civic Center is a nice stadium to watch the game in. It was clean and well staffed. We were able to park within a 100 yards of the entrance. The location is right in the middle of downtown Peoria. It was St.Patrick's Day, so we saw part of a parade that was held 2blocks away. The stadium is also only two blocks from the riverfront which has many bars and restaurants as well as nice views to take in. The Peoria Riverfront museum/Caterpillar museum is also right there, along with 2 or 3 college campuses. It was dollar hot dog, chip and pop day so the food ended up being a bargain. Our seats were at the end of the aisle and actually formed the end of the staircase. Had there been a bigger crowd, our view would have been obstructed by people ascending and descending the staircase. As it was almost empty (about 4,000 people), we had room to lounge. The Rivermen won the game in OT, so it was an exciting game to watch.
We had a great time. The Rivermen won 30 seconds into the 5-minute overtime period after the game was tied after the three regulation periods. This was an excellent brand of hockey. I wish we lived near Peoria because I would attend Rivermen games often.
The game and food were wonderful. yhaooooooooooooo
We drove four hours to see this hockey game and were not disappointed, although a little bummed we lost in overtime. The standout of the trip was the employees of the Peoria Civic Center. Starting with the parking attendant, the ticket takers, the beer vendors, security, and our most helpful usher, they were amazing, friendly, helpful and fun. We will be back!!!
I was excited to see a Rivermen game, as I've attended many NHL games and other minor league hockey games. I knew the facility was older, so I wasn't going to hold that against them. But the overall presentation of music during intermissions and breaks in the action was lacking. More often than not, the music was so low, you couldn't hear it. And the crowd was as apathetic as they come. Everyone was dressed in their Rivermen or Blues jerseys so I expected them to show some semblance of enthusiasm, but they all sat on their hands. You would think getting to see players just a step away from the NHL would get people a little more excited. Even when the Rivermen scored a goal, very few fans stood up to cheer. Despite all that, I was pleasantly surprised to have someone from the Civic Center come check on me, since I was from out state.
Great Game. Very nice place to watch a game. A lot of action!
4 of us drove to Peoria from Srt, Louis. We had a blast! Danielle who worked with the Rivermen PR was superb and ver accommodating. We would like to do it again!
I am a big fan of hockey - fast paced, physical play, and offensive chances .. Not a big fan of going to a hockey game just to see fights! Level of play was excellent & the overall fan experience was worth going again
During the game, a fight broke out and the wonderful human being in front of us held up his 3 or 4 year old so he could see the fight. This was really disgusting and saddening. Probably will never go see another game, not just for the pathetic person in front of us, but hockey is really quite stupid.
Excellent time as always. 6600 in attendance, need more! Great game.
