    Boring disappointing concert

by WacoTom on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

I doubt we will make this mistake again. What a boring concert and a complete waste of money and time. After the intermission taking 15 to 20 minutes getting the audience to sing, we paid to listen to them NOT the audience. I like introducing the members but I do not care about their lives. Spending time talking about their new marriage, I do not know them or do I care. Never again for this group.

    Amazing

by Tess on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

The group is amazing! Having not known much about them, I didn’t realize that they sang almost all Christmas songs. My favorite was the cello/drum performance. It was OUTSTANDING!!! I’ve gone to many concerts at the Moody Center and have enjoyed them all . . . except for the sound system - SOOOOOOOOO LOUD!!!!! I always use earplugs (which helps), but it still probably isn’t safe for people’s hearing.

    Lighting

by Paul on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

The lights were great but it also made it hard to see the performance.

    Family fun concert

by Tampaslp on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

We all had a good time. They aren’t as good as the original group but they are very talented musicians.

    Concert was great.

by Pbm on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

Concert was great, parking on the other hand terrible. Got to the location to park an Hr early but roads blocked or closed no signs given direction but one we found at the last minute and took almost an hr to find and park with 10 minutes to spare…. Need more directions than just traffic cones.

    Great singer but…

by De on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

Great singers but it was not clear that would be only Christmas songs.

    Painful

by Gleb Durovsky on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

How does this group have such a following? They’re moderately talented at best. Most High School level performing arts programs could have done as well, or better, given the same budget. The sound levels were way off, the canned music tracks we all swear we heard (for what’s touted as being an a capella group) overpowered their voices and the schtick routines clearly designed to fill time, all lent to a performance absolutely undeserving of the 1) cost of tickets and 2) level of fandom. I truly don’t understand the adoration.

    New to them

by Pentatonix on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

A friend came from out of town to go with me. She knew more than I did, having watched all the videos on YouTube. I expected more acapella and less backing music, less flash and more authenticity. I guess they had to go big to fill an arena with sound and visuals. The last part on the small stage with the piano was best.

    Overhyped

by Eeegh on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

It was mostly boring, cheesy & mundane. I guess it’s a good family thing but not worth the cost for them most part.

    Awesome Experience

by Dean on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

I've been to MANY concerts. This was the first one that touched me emotionally. I found myself tearing up on many of the Pentatonix song versions. It was a spectacular evening. I received these tickets as a Christmas present and I am eternally grateful for this unparalleled experience. The Pentatonix are unbelievably talented. Their music has become a staple during the Holiday season. The entire concert was perfectly performed. Other highlights that blew me away was their version of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose"and the "Nut Cracker"version with the electric Cello and drums, a one of a kind arrangement. If you haven't seen the Pentatonix, do yourself a favor and see them.

Way too loud for a family event!

by Dustin W on 12/24/23Moody Center ATX - Austin

We were very excited for this event and brought our 6 and 8 year old. The concert started 30 minutes late which is a bit frustrating considering many kids are patiently waiting. Once they finally came on the sound was unbearably loud and we had to take our kids into the hall to give their ears after two songs. While in the hall we saw other kids in tears due to it being so loud. In the end we ended up having to leave after 3 songs. Super disappointing and a total waste of money. Our 6 year old was crying on the way out saying how this was supposed to be a fun night and her ears hurt so bad. Do better Pentatonix and know your audience!

VIP package was cheap, seats were great.

by Orivori on 12/24/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

Spent extra for the VIP package and full experience. There really wasn't anything special about having a VIP pass other than wearing the lanyard. The tickets did not say VIP on them so we had to argue with venue staff about what we received and paid for every step of the way. We were ushered to all regular lines and herded like cattle. Seats were great though. I wouldn't recommend the VIP package unless you meet the artists. Concert was a lot of fun and very interactive.

Great voices and enjoyed the performance.

by Fort Worth Girl on 12/23/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

So the tickets said 7:00 but there was no opening act and it was after 7:30 before the show started. We felt like the beginning part (before they came out) was too loud and several times our seats were vibrating the sound was so loud (and we are find with loud) but there is a limit to what is enjoyable. It seemed like the amplification was drowning out the beautiful voices at times. That being said they did put on a good show and their harmony was amazing.

Top Notch Performance at the Best Venue Ever!!!

by Irishhart on 12/23/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

This was my first time to see Pentatonix in person and man did they deliver!!! It was intoxicating and so uplifting. Beautiful way to welcome in Christmas! Dickies Arena is my favorite venue and I plan to make it my number one destination for entertainment. The staffing is the best there and their security is top-notch. It's a wonderful facility, but the most important part is the people. They treat you like gold! Go!!! You won't be disappointed. :)
