Pensacola Ice Flyers at Pensacola Bay Center
The Pensacola Ice Flyers are the sole professional hockey team on Florida's Emerald Coast. Their downtown location and family-friendly on-ice entertainment offers a unique experience that is enjoyable for all ages. With 28 home games scheduled throughout the season, attendees can stop by the Pensacola Bay Center beginning each October to watch the exhilarating action. The Ice Flyers host theme nights including Dog Race Nights, Star Wars Night, Mardi Gras Night, Bushwackers Night, and multiple Military Appreciation Nights. Single-Game Tickets start at an affordable $17, while a range of Season Ticket plans are available to cater to every budget and schedule.
Pensacola Ice Flyers Background
The Pensacola Ice Flyers were founded in 2009, following the Ice Pilots who had been part of the ECHL since 1996. The team began playing at the Pensacola Bay Center in the 2009-10 season as a member of the SPHL. Since then, the Ice Flyers have become one of the top teams in the league, winning multiple championships and making a significant impact on the community. The team is owned by Greg Harris, who took over in 2012. With four President's Cup championships, they are tied for most in league history. Their attendance numbers consistently rank in the top three in the league. The Ice Flyers will celebrate their 15th anniversary during the 2023-24 season.
We try to go to as many Ice Flyer’s games as possible throughout the season. They are so much fun; the atmosphere is great, the team cares and gives back to the community, and every game they give it their all.
The game was exciting ! First live hockey game for me. But that arena leaves SO MUCH to be desired. The online map showing available parking is not noted to show that the most easily accessible parking is for pass holders only. No signage on how to get to the other end of the arena to park. A maze - literally - of one way streets to get to it. OR, you have the option to merge with traffic from a freeway off ramp and cross 3 lanes to make your turn. Sooooo glad we got there early. The interior of the arena leaves MUCH to be desired. Not enough space to list the problems. Big plus is they do have double the number of ladies rooms than mens restrooms. GO FLYERS! The game was good enough to go again, but that arena....EWWW
The staff always goes above and beyond! My kids love going to games and Maverick has worked on winning over my youngest! Now when he walks around she yells and points to go say hi. Not to mention the team this year is playing so much better. I can't think of a better place to go!
The ice do be flying. People smashing into walls. Excellent. Thrills (yes). Exciting yet classic. Decent food prices and a good show. Enjoyable to watch... Themed game nights are great!
Pensacola is a hockey town. Ticket prices are very reasonable. The arena is well set up for the sport. The team makes sure you are sitting on the edge of your seat . If you get bored that's on you not them. They keep the fans connected to the game with giveaways and fun contests. I would highly recommend going to a game ( or 2 or 3 ) .
We had great seat locations (small seats) and saw every bit of the game perfectly! We will be back!!
I am impressed with the team from the beginning from dump and chase to actually plays. The game was awesome. I was not impressed with the lack of organization with the jersey give away. We were not even 100 people in line and because they could not get their machines to work thus slowing out line the people from the other door came down and got all of the jerseys. Also, the poster said for adults but in that line as I watched people with little kids got jerseys. It was very sad for us.
The game was fun, bay center was nice, but it would be nice to have more/better tasting food options.
Had a blast!!!! Great game, it was a perfect opening night for the flyers. Can’t wait to see them again, wishing them the best season ever!!!
Hands on the best years for this team and the atmosphere of the place is one of the best. Fantastic evening every time I go! I highly recommend this place and seeing the Ice flyers to everyone!

Getting to see a hockey game is Florida is FANTASTIC! The Pensacola Ice Flyers are a great team and the play is always exciting! They put on a great show during the breaks too, and always support local charities! Highly recommend, always seats available. One suggestion, seats are so cheap, buy double and have some room to spread out! Great work PCOLA!
Love the Game part, super fun and good crowd. Didn't like that there was not enough workers or concession stands open. An hour line for food and the merchandise line was crazy long. Might have bought items at either place if the wait time wasn't so ridiculous. So, we only paid just for 2 tickets, guess it made it a really cheap game for us and more of a revenue loss for you.
The game was exciting. I got to shake Maverick's wing. Fun stuff to watch between periods.
The staff here are the best!! Friendly, helpful- offered me stuff before I even asked! Best staff of any venue I’ve been to so far. Sound system was super loud, kind of too loud. And not enough seating at the glass-which is a big deal for hockey!
Great fun. I would rather pay a little more for tickets and lower the food and drink prices for the children. Its very expensive for a snowcone or cotton candy.

Being from Canada, I wasn’t expecting much. I was blown away with the calibre hockey. I enjoyed Saturdays game so much I went to Sundays game.
From the parking on arrival to the exit of the venue after the Hockey Game. Had a wonderfull experience. Side note, love the tee-shirt cannon.
