Penn & Teller On Tour

Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.

Penn & Teller Background

America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

  • A fitting tribute to 50 years of magic!

by Snowy on 11/24/25Boch Center Shubert Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish, from bass jazz to final curtain, I was entertained, amazed, and couldn't keep my eyes off the stage. The combination of irreverent humor and fast paced magic that this duo is known for was shown in full force, with nods to the past, but all relatively new tricks, keeping it fresh for fans who have followed them over the years!

  • Disappointed!

  • Immersive and interactive experience

I actually got to the peeformand late, and the most negative aspect of the performance was where it was held. The Wang Center is one of the the oldest and worst places to attend a performance especially if you had tickets to the balcony: it is over 100! steps up with no elevator! And then the steps down to the seating is extremely steep. The performance itself has always changed so if you see them in Las Vegas this one was completely different. Some things you always remain the same: Penn talks and Teller doesn’t. Teller does the card tricks and Penn includes lots of the audience on stage to participate so you as the audience are those people on the stage. I would see them again anytime but not at the Wang!!! Yuck!!!

  • Great comedy but act wasnt real impressive.

by Brent on 11/18/25Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Great comedy but act wasnt real impressive. Act used a rope cutting trick used by immatures. The balloon trick was impressive but tricks done with already prepared props (the balloons) are fairly easy to figure out and/or question Loved the humour, I just wasnt WOWed.

  • Magic, fun .. Penn's language is offensive!

by Willy on 11/13/25Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Birthday gift... show was funny & mesmerizing, Teller was adorable (wife's) interpretation. Penn, on the other hand... not so much. I (we) took umbrage to Penn's language! We're aware he is atheist, however those who do believe in GOD were appalled by his blasphemy & many times taking the Lord's name in Vain! Just not necessary, period! Good to experience, but will not be back for a return event ever!!
