Always a wonderful and fun experience when the band travels north of the Ohio.
Loved the venue and both Eddie and the Getaway and Pecos & the Rooftops. As far as the Bluestone goes, I liked it. However, the acoustics in this venue were not great. Seemed muffled for the singing. Not sure if the mics were turned up too far or what but it was hard to make out at times, if you didn’t know the lyrics.
This event marked the second time I’ve seen PTR. Their opener was solid. Great artists and high energy. Just what you want in a live performance. The venue is nice. Great AV production! Looks nice and the staff were on point. I do think, however, that a nearly 500% markup on alcohol was a bit much ($15 for a 24 ounce Bud Light). A 20 ounce cup of soda was $8. Also, $6 for a can of water, with no other options for hydration. In a crowded room for a live music event where everyone is standing for several hours makes this a recipe for potential disaster, which obviously hampers things at an operational level. I will add that I didn’t see water stations, but I didn’t really look either. I kind of assumed there weren’t any, because they were selling it instead. I will emphasize, though, that I had an awesome time. It was my youngest daughter’s first concert, and we were on the rail from start to finish. I never felt uncomfortable or concerned about the crowd. All in all, if you came to see a good show, you’re going to get it at Mercury Ballroom. Just be aware that drinks are almost prohibitively expensive, and once you’re inside, that’s all you’ve got.
Great venue, great staff, great band!! 10 out 10!!!
band came out with great energy and voice. Garrett Peltier killed it on the drums and was great to watch.
The crowd was so awesome, great vibes all the way around and the band was awesome. 100% recommend. One of my favorite concerts of all time.
This was my first exposure to the band. I went with a friend who had more knowledge of them. I liked the band, but the Neptune's sound--at least in the Balcony--was nothing short of horrible. I was tempted to go to another location such as downstairs near the sound board, but the people I was with couldn't stand it any longer. The next time I go to the Neptune, I will make a point of finding a better location from a sound point of view. If there isn't one, I might just stop going there.
Love small low key venues, it was a great atmosphere! Would like to see more seating. Overall experience was amazing.
The venue was small which was nice that everyone has a decent view, but it seemed the acoustics were not what they should be for a concert. The venue also seems to make all their money from the alcohol sales, so a 16oz beer was $10 each! This is just ridiculous to charge that much for a beer and I will probably not return because of this reason. Pecos was ok, but it seemed he was mumbling into the microphone and it was difficult to understand the words. This could also be from the acoustics or the microphone, because even the opening band was difficult to understand. Overall I was not impressed and couldn’t even make it through the whole concert before I had enough and just left.
Had me smiling all night! Always makes me happy when I listen to them!
