by LeChelle on 8/23/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

I had a wonderful time at this show. Peabo was very good. I would have like to hear more of Deniece Williams. Wanted to hear her sing Black Butterfly, Silly and some others she is know for, oh and the I Sing Because.

    Great Show and venue

by bulaich on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

This was one of the most amazing shows that I have ever seen . The opening act started off slowly but quickly got into the groove with ole school music and their own stuff . Peabo came on slowly and finished with his signiture love balads, a duet with Ms. Denisee Williams and the powerful " A Whole New World " which was so fitting for the open air arena . There were a few slight rain drops at intervals of the event which gave the evening that special GOD-like quality . We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .

Peabo sounds even better than CDs & Videos

by hanna19552002 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

PEABO BRYSON came out singing and everyone stood up and it was Showtime. He looked awesome he sounds better than ever, I mean better than CDs and Videos. Fine wine with age just gets better with time and PEABO BRYSON was a FINE AGED WINE. DENIECE WILLIAMS sounded great and looked even better because the both of them gave us a show. They had on STAGE CLOTHING (after five attire) not worthy of our ticket price and much, much more than our ticket price, that is the reason I go every year to at least one or two a shows every season. The opening act (Framework) was a DC group of former members' of 70's groups, i.e. Heatwave and other bands. The female members were really good singers especially the female lead out front. The musicians of the group put the FUNK on every song that they played. From the beginning when they played songs from their new CD that is out now to their re-makes of Alicia Keys' current hit and a DC favorite “Ain’t Leavin’ without You” by Jaheim, where everyone there stood up and got their dance on. The female lead introduced all the members, mostly from the DC/Maryland area. They had very well played solos and were off. There was one thing I didn't like Peabo and Deniece sang a duet together and he left. She sang Amazing Grace with music, just her amazing voice. She then sang her songs, another duet and she left. I'm O'L SKOOL (opening act, 2 billed and then star of show). That's all I'm saying.

    the last of his kind

by jhammaster on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Peabo Bryson reminded us about true music on this Saturday night event. Classic songs with a voice to match. Special guest Denice Williams was amazing also (although she didn't do hits like Silly and Black Butterfly). This is a don't miss show.

    Fabulous! Wonderful! Great Singing!

by delta21972 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Peabo Bryson and Deniece Williams were great! Superb singing by both and when they sang together..................It was electrifying! They demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with. I screamed like a fool when they sang the theme from Aladin. Peabo Bryson worked the crowd like a pro and I enjoyed it when he came off of the stage and "worked the audience." Framwork was an excellent "warm-up" group. I loved everything they sang except for the Rapper who looked out of place. I wish them well and continued success.

    A pretty good show!

by Ladydee1 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Overall, I enjoyed the show. The opening act was O.K. with alot of energy, but they were on stage a little too long, and we were ready for either another act or for Peabo to come on stage. The people in front of us expressed the same sentiment.

Saved the good stuff for last!!

by RINGRAM on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Show was good except that Peabo wasted alot of time singing and doing everything but his hits..When he finally got around to singing the songs we came to hear, we were in the parking lot!!!!!!! Deniece was unorganized which made Peabo seem unsure of what was going on.....

    Peabo and Deniece great job!!!

by SAduo on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

This being our first visit at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre, really impressed! We were pleasantly surprised by the seating outline - view to stage great from any angle. I think Peabo being our first outdoor show at the Barron - made the experience that much enjoyable, special and definitely calling for a return to venue! Peabo and the supporting team did a fantastic job with keeping the crowd entertained and engaged.... What a night.. as we reminisced, sang along and danced... If you had your doubts in going to a Live Peabo show - do yourself a favour and GO!

    Old school show

by shophog57 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

It was fantastic. They both sound like they did back in the day. I enjoyed Peabo's background singers. Their voices were good and they coordinated the dance moves. it was nice to see. Folks don't do that much anymore. Framework was good also.

Peablo still has a great voice

by ctabb on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Peablo's voice is still incredable. I was a little disappointed in Deniece Williams. The opening band was fantastic. We had a great time.

Peabo Bryson is the bomb; Amazing voice

by JayVince on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Peabo Bryson is the bomb. If you are a true Peabo fan, you will not be disappointed. I am a Deniece Williams fan, but I have to admit her voice is not what it used to be. Though she still can blow somewhat, she has lost some of her high octave skills. But, it was Peabo's concert (she was just a guest), so I still give the overall concert the highest marks.

Peabo & Niecy Were Off The Chain

by KennDoo2 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

The show was incredible as it’s outside so you always fear that rain, but from the Opening Act (Framework) to the performance of Peabo & Deniece Williams it was TOP RATE SHOW…Both Peabo & Deniece still have their Fine Tuned God Given Vocal Talents……If Peabo didn’t sound just like he did in the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s and clear, perfect pitch better than record!! Peabo and Deniece intertwined more than about Deniece opening for him as she was like the relief if you will and did he open up her set with A-capella God Is Amazing as she did live at Grammy’s back in 1990…She Still one if not the best high Octave Range Vocalist as her and Minnie were & always will be legendary for ability to hit Bird Like Notes. She didn’t do “Silly”, but it was Peabo Show with Nicey added in for duets & just musical memory lane…It was GREAT & WONDERFUL SHOW if ever in DC or Any city nearby worth it to them again

Peabo Bryson and Special guest Deniece Williams

by Ebelgato on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

I thought the concert was excellent. Peabo Bryson still has s gifted voice after all these years. He hasn't lost a step, on the other side I was a bit disappointed with Deniece Williams due to the fact that she did not sing a few songs that to me a lot of people were waiting for but she did O,K. My girlfriends point was that she felt that Peabo and Deniece could have sung some of the songs that Deniece and Johnny Mathias recorded together.

    PEABO & NIECY

by WilliamR2 on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

THIS WAS AN AWESOME EVENT OVERALL. I REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW, MUSIC, CROWD & LIGHTS. THE FOOD CHOICES COULD USE SOME HELP AND THE LINES WERE TOO LONG. BUT IT'S REALLY NICE TO SEE EVERYONE GETTING ALONG TRULY ENJOYING THEMSELVES. IN SHORT THIS WAS A REAL CLASS ACT. MY WIFE & I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME.

    PEABO DAZZLED

by SIXFTCHOCMAN on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

PEABO AS ALWAYS SOUNDED AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME, HE ENGAGED THE AUDIENCE AND MADE EVERYONE FEEL RIGHT AT HOME, HIS DUETS WITH DENISE WILLIAMS WERE WONDERFUL, AS SHE WAS. HE DIDN'T GET A CHANCEF TO SING A LOT OF HIS OLDER MATERIAL, BUT WHAT HE DID SING WAS DONE MASTERFULLY. DENISE WILLIAMS SOUNDED SURPISINGLY GOOD AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, BUT SHE COULD HAVE SUNG MORE OF HER HITS, (SILLY), BUT THE INTERACTON BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM WAS ELECTRIC.

sounded just like they did 30 years ago

by GeeWhizAgain on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

superb performance by two vets who've still got the touch and the voices are still like fine tuned instruments. They have taken care of themselves and perserved thier God Given Talent.

PEABO BRYSON WITH SPECIAL GUEST DENIECE WILLIAMS

by TastyK on 8/22/10Carter Barron Amphitheatre - Washington

Excellent show. It was so good seeing the both of them together, I just wish they performed solo a little more. The show just wasn't long enough.
