PBR: Unleash the Beast on Tour
PBR: Unleash the Beast is the biggest annual series in bull riding — the toughest eight seconds in sports, played out again and again from city to city, pitting the most rugged riders against the baddest bulls. Each two-day stop kicks off with pyrotechnics, but the explosions and flames are quickly outdone by the rides themselves — 35 matchups divided into three rounds of dirt-flinging, arm-flailing and fierce performances by all of the athletes in the arena, human and animal alike. In between, the world's most well-known rodeo clown, the beloved Flint Rasmussen, cuts through the tension with humor tailored to each city. Unleash the Beast brings 750 tons of dirt, 65 tons of steer and 25 tons of steel fencing to every venue on the tour. Each rider faces all of that weight as he competes to qualify for the PBR World Finals, where the winner will walk away with $1 million and the coveted gold belt buckle.
PBR: Unleash the Beast Background
The Professional Bull Riders organization was founded by 20 riders who each brought $1,000 to the table back in 1993. Their goal? To bring their sport to the mainstream, increasing public interest and also prize money for the athletes who risk their lives in the arena. They more than succeeded, boosting annual attendance from 310,000 in 1995 to over 3 million today, while securing major television coverage for their top competitions, while awarding more than $180 million to riders over the years. Though PBR: Unleash the Beast began as the Built Ford Tough Series in 2003, it's been the same gold-standard series throughout, with any rule changes along the way meant to make it a fairer and more thrilling contest. The PBR ranks both bulls and riders, ensuring the best of the best lock horns, so to speak, at every stop.
Had an awesome time! Bulls were the best of the best!!
The bull riding was good, only issue i was was with all the pyro and smoke. Made it kinda hard to see and breathe. The other big issue was the handicapped seating. There were way to many seats crammed in to one section. With wheelchairs there is just not enough room for that many people in the handicap area.
This event is amazing! It's electric! We were so excited to be there. It did not disappoint
First of all when we tried to check in they said our tickets had been relocated. Never received an email regarding this. They said I had to go to the box office which I never did. This staff was clueless the entire time. One staff member would direct you one way another would stop you and say wrong way. The Ariat Restaurant, the hostess didn’t know if she was coming or going, she had no idea where tables were, she was just lost. Our waitress never came to our table to explain restaurant details or get a drink order, after 25 minutes I finally flagged someone over. The experience was horrible.
Found the program very exciting as a rodeo newbie on the plus side. On the minus side the program started later than published time and was shorter in duration than I would have expected. It is understandable when you consider a successful ride is 8 of the craziest seconds you've ever seen. Surprise appearance by Kid Rock was very cool.
Kid rock fireworks boom boom exciting bulls riders area very nice. Dickies arena prefect venue for ft worth bull riding championship.
Excellent facility with staff to match. The show was well done with great performances by riders and entertainment.
This was such an incredible event!! Parking was easy. The Arena was fantastic; easy to get around, great signage, comfortable seating, and clean.
Had an amazing time at opening night of PBR!!! KID ROCK was in the house and even came down to perform a little with our retiring lead rodeo clown.
They give things away they always have amazing bulls and big crowds. They never disappoint there. I will defiantly be back next year
Loved the bulls & riders. I have an Apple Watch that warns me when I am surrounded by noise levels that can harm my hearing. About every 10 min I was warned. No need to harm peoples hearing . . . .
It was great, the only disappointment that we had is that there were not as many people there on Friday evening or Sunday afternoon.?? We made a family trip out of it and we paid for the tickets. Next year we will be purchasing our seats in the lower level for the weekend.
I really enjoyed seeing everyone ride and I had a lot of fun spending quality time with my mom. I just wish I would have splurged a bit and got better seats.
It was the best time ever! Will definitely be back!!
The music was way to loud. You need to turn down the volume. Not just in Sioux falls but my wife and I also go to Las Vegas and is the same way. Tone it down or you could lose a lot of fans
Great family entertainment. As well as very patriotic.
From start to finish, top to bottom, this event is a must see!!! What an absolute blast and memories we will never forget!!
Great show though it always seems rather short and the tickets are a bit steep. My wife and I go every year, and she loves it. Highly recommend.
PBR events never fail to be exciting and fun for everyone in the entire family! Wish it’d come to New Orleans regularly!
I went both nights and it was fantastic. Saturday had the rankest bulls which made it even more exciting!!
