PBR: Unleash the Beast on Tour

PBR: Unleash the Beast is the biggest annual series in bull riding — the toughest eight seconds in sports, played out again and again from city to city, pitting the most rugged riders against the baddest bulls. Each two-day stop kicks off with pyrotechnics, but the explosions and flames are quickly outdone by the rides themselves — 35 matchups divided into three rounds of dirt-flinging, arm-flailing and fierce performances by all of the athletes in the arena, human and animal alike. In between, the world's most well-known rodeo clown, the beloved Flint Rasmussen, cuts through the tension with humor tailored to each city. Unleash the Beast brings 750 tons of dirt, 65 tons of steer and 25 tons of steel fencing to every venue on the tour. Each rider faces all of that weight as he competes to qualify for the PBR World Finals, where the winner will walk away with $1 million and the coveted gold belt buckle.

PBR: Unleash the Beast Background

The Professional Bull Riders organization was founded by 20 riders who each brought $1,000 to the table back in 1993. Their goal? To bring their sport to the mainstream, increasing public interest and also prize money for the athletes who risk their lives in the arena. They more than succeeded, boosting annual attendance from 310,000 in 1995 to over 3 million today, while securing major television coverage for their top competitions, while awarding more than $180 million to riders over the years. Though PBR: Unleash the Beast began as the Built Ford Tough Series in 2003, it's been the same gold-standard series throughout, with any rule changes along the way meant to make it a fairer and more thrilling contest. The PBR ranks both bulls and riders, ensuring the best of the best lock horns, so to speak, at every stop.

    PBR Rocks

by Jo J on 1/23/24BOK Center - Tulsa

PBR Unleash the Beast in Tulsa was great!! Environment was user friendly, entry screening easy and I had to go through special screening because of my pacemaker. I had a great time and history was definitely being made by even some of the youngest riders like Clay Guiton.

    Unleash the Beast 2023

by KK on 5/24/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

We were disappointed that there were no shops at the Dickie Center like last year. Not enough T-shirts honoring Flints last days. Scoring wasn't as good. Didn't like the 2 great announcers not being on the floor. Why next year are the last 2 days at AT&T. Dickies is much better. Y'all can't even fill Dickies.

    Excellent

by Scott C on 5/24/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

This was our FIRST PBR event to attend. I felt the show was perfect. There was no down time. The time was perfectly spaced out so we, the crowd, was entertained the whole time. Even though our seats where behind the face of the stage, there was the big screen that let us see. Very nice event. We even meet a couple that said they have been to several events and the event being at Dickies made it even better. Their best by far.

If May 18th was my first PBR, I never would have returned

by PRB fan on 5/23/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

Thursday, May 18, was a huge let down. The sound system was horrible and you could not understand ANYTHING because there was feedback/echo the ENTIRE performance. Thankfully this was not the first PBR event I have attending because it was so bad, I never would have come back to another. Fans were complaining all around me. I went up to to tell someone to tell PBR nobody could hear, and it didn't seem like they would or could do anything about it. Hard to believe the sound wasn't checked and fixed before the fans got there. It seriously was the main subject for the rest of the finals. The last 3 days were great, and the sound was fixed. Really surprised that there were so many empty seats. I will have to watch it on TV to see if the crowd shots were deceiving or not. For any PBR executives reading this. Fans are NOT happy about the change to Texas and even more unhappy about the change next year for last 2 days moving to Arlington. LOTS of people saying they won't go. Majority of fans were happy in Vegas. But the riders were great and the last 3 days were great. And I still love PBR, just won't go to finals next year.

    Great Time

It was a great experience. It would have helped if the sound system was not echoing so that no one could understand what the announcers said.

    PBR

by JD on 5/21/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

We love the PBR and were thrilled to see the Finals come to Fort Worth. Cowtown and Dickies is a perfect venue for this event. The only negative was the sound system down near the arena. We were in row 3 and could only make out about 5% of the dialogue due to the echo that I think was caused by the scoreboard. That said, we are not happy that the PBR finals will be in Arlington next year. Huge mistake by PBR - this deserves to stay in Fort Worth. We WILL NOT attend the event at AT&T.

    PBR EXCITEMENT

by Red texas on 5/17/23Dickies Arena - Fort Worth

Love the PBR. Especially enjoyed Flint and am sad he is retiring. His presentation to Josh, the young man in the audience was so special. Thank you PBR for another great family night.
