PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue on Tour

Since its debut in 2013, the animated TV series PAW Patrol has captured kids' imagination and tickled their fancy in equal amounts by basing every episode around the can't-miss combination of cute dogs and exciting adventures.

Ryder is the young boy in charge of the canine crew, sending them off on a different mission to aid someone in trouble on each episode. Firefighting dalmatian Marshall, construction expert and English bulldog Rubble, German shepherd spy Chase, recycling mutt Rocky, aquatic rescue Labrador Zuma, and aviator cockapoo Skye are the charter members of the PAW Patrol.

They've been a staple of children's television fare for several seasons now, becoming a phenomenon in the process, with everything from a line of toys to Halloween costumes. Considering the amount of love kids have shown for the series season after season, it would have been a shame not to bring those characters to the stage and offer the show's most passionate fans an opportunity to connect with their heroes in a whole new way.

PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue takes everybody's favorite rescue pups and all their familiar friends and places them in a live onstage adventure, taking the squad off the screen and putting them right in front of your eyes.

The action revolves around the Great Adventure Bay Race. When key participant Mayor Goodway disappears before the event, Ryder calls upon his furry pals to find her and to take her place in the race if the situation demands.

Along the way, a whole bunch of the other colorful characters that inhabit the PAW Patrol universe pop up, including Farmer Yumi, Mayor Humdinger, Cap'n Turbot, Chickaletta, and more. It all adds up to an exciting, unique experience for kids accustomed to encountering the PAW Patrol crew only in their living rooms until now.

    Fun!

by Karhy on 2/26/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

I took my 4-year old grandson to this and he was thrilled. Lots of visual stimulation and high volume songs, but it’s only a little over an hour so it’s worth going! It was fun for him to shake the shakers that are passed out with all the other kids!

Good Show Poor planning by the theater!

    by J. C. on 2/26/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

I would have given this 5 stars however Hershey theater didn't open their doors until 9:45 and still started the show at 10:00 even thought people where still waiting in line to have their tickets scanned so we missed the beginning of the show and we didn't even stop for food or to look at the merchandise they had for sale.

    Pawwwesome

by Kadi on 2/26/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

This show was awesome. NEVER once expected it to be that great. We did the VIP passes. The tickets were pretty pricey, but wouldnt do over if i had to. The VIP party wasnt all the greatest but i mean it was sti okay. From where i live it was a good 3 hr drive so 6 hrs all together but well worth the show and performance, had a great time and enjoyed every minute with my 3 yr old.

    Awesome show, unorganized venue

    by Bsmith41896 on 2/25/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

The show was great. They had awesome costumes & content. It kept even kept my 2 1/2 year old enthralled up until the last 5 minutes. If they wouldnt have had an intermission, we would have been glued the whole time. The lighting and stage were neat and we were impressed with the show. The Paw Patrol merchandise was way overpriced though plenty of people paid the $20 for the shirts & toys. They did hand out pom-poms, but in the confusion none of my kids got one. The venue, Hershey Theater, is very disorganized with poor flow. They have two entrances & though security checks are quick, the concessions are where everyone is trying to enter into the theatre. The ushers cause more of a hold up than they are helping. Its a small theatre & most everyone can figure out where their seats are without having to wait for the ushers (besides scanning tickets). The ticket scans should happen in the vestibule before the theatre, not in the main lobby area. The concessions were way over priced. It would have been fun to get popcorn and a Hershey's chocolate bar while in Hershey, but way overpriced. I dont know how anyone with a few kids could afford the absurd prices. You already pay a premium for the show ticket and then they price gouge on snacks. Last, the venue had few bathrooms and I could not find a baby changing station. In my opinion, not a very family friendly place when you have several children. From what Ive heard about Milton Hershey, I think he cared a lot about families & children and making it possible for them to have a fun & affordable day out. Their pricing model for concessions at Hershey Theatre & even at Chocolate World (which we visited as well) does not reflect this.

    Great show!

by Sandy on 2/25/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

My 3 year old loved it. They did a great job turning the tv show into a live show. She was engaged and mesmerized the entire show. At the end, she kept crying for more. Well worth the money.

    Volume was entirely too loud.

by BearMom on 2/25/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

The performance was cute but the sound system was entirely too loud. We watched several families leave because their toddlers and preschoolers could not handle the volume. My preschooler sat with her fingers in her ears for the entire performance.

    Bad service

by Rob on 2/25/20Hershey Theatre - Hershey

The performance was not bad. The lights were a little too bright in your face. I have been there for other performances such as Brit Floyd that had the same issue. It is the nature of the Hershey Theater. The reason I am giving them such a low rating is the way we were treated at the concession area. The kids were condescending and rude. When you are paying 30 dollars for 1.50 worth of popcorn and a Chinese made Rubble hat that probably cost 15 cents. Try at least being nice. This is not a rock concert at the Hershey Stadium.

    Disappointed

by Ms on 2/22/20Covelli Centre - Youngstown

My granddaughter would have preferred seeing more of the paw patrols... not worth the $$ for 90 minute show. How about now charge an arm and a leg for a hat...not to mention we couldnt pick. She wanted popcorn...we ended up with cotton candy because she wanted the red hat! Could have charged less for the toys...people would have bought more your profits in the end would have been the same $$. Extremely over priced!

    Fun!

    by T. H. on 2/21/20Covelli Centre - Youngstown

Took our four year old, and actually had a great time ourselves. I was unaware i purchased VIP tickets but made sense for the price as i didnt get cheap tickets. Talked about it afterwards and would definitely do it again.
