Listening to electronic music in such a beautiful venue was worth the drive from Emporia!
BT rocked my socks!!!!
by Anonymous on 7/18/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5It was my first Dance Festival and it was amazing! It will not be my last either! It would have been awesome if memoriabilia were sold. I would've loved to get a t-shirt or artist albums. I can't wait until they come back again!

I'm from Europe so that is my music. I liked the stage the dancers was good. I was lots of concerts before and that is was one of my favorite. Everything was so cool I really liked the place.
Excellent Show

FDF in KC was off the hook!!!
by alexsed on 7/17/10The Midland by AMC - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Yes!!! That was a first GDF stop @ Midlands!!! And it was fantabulous!!! Main stage was amazing!!! Really great venue!!! I wish they would have more lights and some sort of staging for the other stages(upstairs, downstairs) Overall, the show like this should be permanent, like they do it @ Red Rocks every year!!! Thanks to all GDF organazers and "Midlands" staff for making this possible this time!!! Looking forward for the other EDM events like this one!!!

The only reason why I went to this event was he is considered to be one of the top 5 DJ's in the World Market. I have all his CD's and this recent one just released was nothing like he played. Extremely narrow and very little vocal. The songs were flat lined, all the same, no difference in a Rise or Fall in the music. The dance scene was pathetic. They now how to jump up and down with no room for great dancers. It was not a Dance Scene environment for those of us that like to create our dance with partners. JK
PVD is riding his name...tired and unimpressive
by SEAPVD on 2/15/10Showbox SoDo - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5Decent venue, Johnny M. and Jason LeMaitre put on a better showing than Paul. 2nd time I have seen Paul as of late and have been dissapointed over the last few shows. He was on his game 5~10 years ago but now he is just riding the wave and name. Save your money much bettter performers who are into entertaining their audiences more than Paul. Bland... hang it up buddy or put your heart back into your music and do what you're there to do, please your fans. It's a shame some of his younger fans didn't see him when he was really into doing what he was playing bringing the house to it's knees. Try NYC or Miami Space, maybe he will put on a show there like he has done in the past, Seattle I have given up on. Peace.

by Viks on 2/14/10Showbox SoDo - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5It was pretty good. Definitely worth the money. It was well organized and set up. The only thing I didn't like was the sound system at the venue, which was to quiet with too much bass but not enough of everything else.

Paul Van Dyk was great, great show, great atmosphere!
Paul Van Dyk-disappointing
by sophruth on 9/7/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5I was really excited to see PVD for the very first time. Unfortunately the whole thing was lacking something. There was no light show to speak of, a small uninspired video screen back drop and the music (which I love usually-I have many PVD CDs) was all monotone with no big build ups and excitement. Paul himself seemed less than enthusiastic to be there. The lines for the toilets were insanely ridiculous. The VIP area was situated where people couldn't even see the stage (and one toilet for all the VIPs huh?). The percussionist was a breath of fresh air-he was very smiley and having lots of fun. Headed to Club Love afterwards to see Andy Moor which by huge contrast was completely awesome.
just amazing!!
by jt23forever on 9/6/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5just a great performance by an excellent world wide dj!!!

ok but...
by ugurarcan on 9/3/09Eagles Club/The Rave/Eagles Ballroom - MilwaukeeRating: 2 out of 5great price and great performance.... once it started. it wasnt clear what time the actual PVD show would start. on a sunday it sucked that he didnt come on stage until midnight. not everybody is a student or lives in milwaukee. DJs prior to him wasnt that phenomenal either.
It could be better
by SomeGuy123 on 9/1/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5He did a nice performance but I felt like people wanted a little bit more at the end. Recomended just if you really like Paul Van Dyk
Could of been better
by JoZo on 9/1/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5The line to get in was sooo long that Paul Van Dyk actually started before most could get in... by the tiem we did get in, there was very few people in there... so why such a long wait? Seriously, the concert ruined before it even started. Paul played a few good titles but I didn't think it got the crowd going the way he should... thumbs up to him though, he is good. I left wishing it had been Roger Sanchez instead...
Paul Van Dyk Rocks
by Sethyg on 9/1/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5It was an overcast day the kind that you sleep through after an evening of chicanery with rain in the air. He rocked Central park with an energy that had us all hanging on each beat. The percussionists were also great and I especially enjoyed the singer for the finale. I wish it had lasted longer but the rules of Central Park forbid shows to last past ten pm. I met some people from Canada and Boston and we vowed to see him when he goes to their Cities. Paul Van Dyk Rocks!
Paul v Dyk wasnt all that.......
by Partybasher on 9/1/09Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5He didnt pay any attention to the crowd, nobody was dancing to his music....... boring
