Legendary R&B belter Patti LaBelle came of age at a time when the term "diva" wasn't used loosely — as a tireless performer and industry veteran, Ms. LaBelle earned her diva designation with hard work and pure, raw talent. Beloved by fans for her fiery live performances and sassy wit, Patti proved she was still in top form on her 2012/13 50th Anniversary Tour, consistently bringing down the house with electrifying renditions of classics like "Lady Marmalade" and "New Attitude." An indefatigable touring presence, Patti serves up more diva realness in 2014 with several highly anticipated appearances.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Patti Labelle cut her teeth singing in church choir and several girl groups before settling into her role as frontwoman of namesake group LaBelle in 1970. Following minor success in the early part of the decade, LaBelle hit the big time in 1974 with "Lady Marmalade," which became their first No. 1 and remains one of the most popular songs of the disco era. In 1977, Patti released her self-titled solo debut album to positive reviews, wowing critics with her songwriting and prowess as a vocalist. A series of successful albums followed including 1986's Winner in You, which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and received several Grammy nominations.

by Miss O on 5/13/24The Louisville Palace - LouisvilleI love Ms. LaBelle who will be 80 this year!! So you’re not going to get a very lengthy concert or a very energetic concert! But the tickets were priced reasonably and it was good being in the building to see her! I only wish she would have sang a few more songs!

by Amy on 4/27/24The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - HammondAll I can say is that I got to see the Queen!! It was AMZING!! I sat only 8 rows away from the stage. Even though there were taller people than I in front of me, I still could see everything. If she came close to my town, I would see her again!! 79 and still performing like she's Tina Turnner. She changed her outfit 3 times and I got a kick when she kept asking for her red shoes. Singers from the 80's and 90's are disappearing. Don't miss a chance to go see them. I would have given almost anything to shake her hand. The only disappointment was that I wished she could have sung more songs, and taken a picture with her. Simply amazing and a wonderful concert!

I know it's a casino abs there was no smoking allowed in the venue auditorium. But, smoking in the casino was hazardous and I hated that. But, it is what it is. I enjoyed the show none the less.
