Drawing upon vast and varied life experience, Pat DiNizio takes the audience on a personal, insightful journey into myriad encounters that have influenced and shaped his life and career as a professional musician, notably as frontman for The Smithereens. Integrated video and photo imagery weave a visual story to accompany Pat’s spoken word and performances of Smithereens favorites, as well as classic covers from his strongest musical influences. As he recalls his introduction to music, you cannot resist being drawn in to the show and reflecting with him, noting candor, warmth and honesty throughout. Most everyone will be able to relate to points in his stories about growing up, family dynamics, tales of love lost… I’m not going to give away specifics, just go, listen and enjoy. At once you may forget you are part of an audience, and feel more like you’re sitting in your home listening to a friend. The show is refreshing in its simplicity and rawness, as Pat is accompanied by bassist Kenny Howes and drummer Nate Stalfa, without extraneous staging or gimmickry. The Riviera hosts the show as a welcomed, fresh addition to the usual sensory assault of the Strip. Can’t wait to get back to the 702 to see it again.

This was truly one of the more interesting & memorable shows I've been to in a long while. Part rock concert & part presentation, Pat addresses the crowd warmly between songs, discussing aspects of his upbringing & how he got to where he is today. Pat's candid, casual conversation makes you feel less like an audience member & more like one of his extended family. Videos & photos flash on screens that show images of key influences on Pat's life & music. I could've listened to him tell his stories all night... If you love Dinizio's music & that of the Smithereens, then you'll definitely enjoy getting to know him better & hearing some old favorites performed live in a cozy, intimate setting.
