Hailing from the hippie-loving, beachfront town of Byron Bay, Australia, metalcore outfit Parkway Drive blasted out of their serene surroundings touting a volatile blend of intricate metal riffing, punishing breakdowns, and hardcore's emotional tension. Named after a rural countryside road, the band was formed in summer 2003 by vocalist Winston McCall, guitarists Luke Kilpatrick and Jeff Ling, drummer Ben Gordon, and bassist Jia O'Connor. The five-piece outfit split an EP with like-minded countrymen I Killed the Prom Queen that same year, and later appeared on the local hardcore compilation What We've Built. This activity preceded the May 2005 release of Parkway Drive's debut EP, Don't Close Your Eyes, on the Sydney-based Resist Records. Parkway Drive continued building a respected name for themselves in the Australian hardcore scene, often opening for Bleeding Through, Shadows Fall, Every Time I Die, Hatebreed, and other American bands who were touring abroad. When the time came to do something traveling of their own, Parkway Drive journeyed to Massachusetts to record their inaugural full-length with Killswitch Engage's Adam Dutkiewicz. Recorded over a two-week period in 2005, Killing with a Smile entered the Australian Independent Chart at number two upon its February 2006 release. The debut album sold extremely well across the country and later saw a North American release through Epitaph Records, which issued the album in August. For the band's sophomore effort, Parkway Drive again traveled to Massachusetts to reprise their successful partnership with producer Dutkiewicz. The metallic Horizons emerged from those recording sessions, and Epitaph released the record in October 2006. In 2010, the band came back with their third full-length effort, Deep Blue. ~ Corey Apar & Andrew Leahey, Rovi

This concert was amazing. Parkway drive came out and entertained us like no other band I have seen. Their playing was amazing and they got the crowd into the music and start to move around. Definetly worth the $30 spent to see them.
The greatest band in one of the greatest Cali venues!
It's been two years since Parkway was in the states, so of course everyone was excited to see them! I had been in their music video for "Wild Eyes" the Wednesday before the show, so I was super excited to see them two times in one week! As I expected, Parkway absolutely killed it. It was everything I expected and more. They put on an amazing show, and they even remembered me and a few others from the video shoot and pointed us out! They are one of the nicest bands around. Hearing Karma, Swing, Wild Eyes and Sleepwalker live was unreal! And I'd just like to say, While She Sleeps was incredible! I've been a fan of them for a long time and they are amazing live... I wish they could have played a longer set! Being one of the few people who knew them, I sang along with everyone of their songs... They noticed me and acknowledged me many times. At the end of their set, Mat made sure I got a pick. I also got to hang out with them after the show. They are also really nice guys, and amazing musicians! All in all, the show was fantastic. I'd been waiting a very long time for it, and the lineup couldn't have been better. Can't wait to see PWD and WSS again!
Parkway Drive embody fun. If you're my age(40) and are going to whine about no seats and no studio quality sound then don't go to Soma. Great show.
Parkway Drive was amazing live. One of the best bands I've seen live!
These guys were amazing. My first metalcore show and i would go see these guys anywhere....most amazing part of the night was Home is for the Heartless, and the whole crowd singing the "oh oh...oh oh"....Winston said it was amazing and was just floored by the crowd....Fantastic show!!! I was in heaven that they played Idols and Romance....
The concert was amazing. Not just Parkway Drive but the bands proceeding. The build-up was perfect and when the time came for Parkway Drive to perform, Win barely had to sing the crowd was singing so loud and clear. I can't wait till they come back, I left with a few cuts and bruises! By far the best metal show I've ever been to.
They were great. They played all great songs and they sounded better live than on their albums. They played with the warriors, the ghost inside, and set your goals. They whole concert was great. Parkway drive was perfect.
I ordered my Parkway Drive March 4th event tickets around February 10th. I got an email saying my tickets had been printed and were in the mail, on their way to my house. They never came in. Sooo... $40 wasted.
PARKWAY DRIVE WAS AMAZING. best show i've ever been to
I've seen Parkway Drive multiple times along with Set Your Goals, I mostly went to see The Warriors and The Ghost Inside. This was an amazing tour package every single band did awesome and was totally worth not only the 4 hour drive but the ticket price was pretty decent too!
This show was absolutely fantastic. The crowd, the performance, their sound, all so on point and fantastic. You could see a look on Winston's face during the performance, it was like he genuinely realized how much the music meant to everyone and that gave him a sense of pure happiness. It was so awesome!!!!
PWD played an unforgettable set, they sounded amazing and had a really energetic stage presence. The Ghost Inside owned the stage and they know it. Dont miss out on this tour!!!
Show was amazing, opening bands were good. and then...set your goals came on and they were the absolutely worst thing I have ever heard. Completely killed my morale for the show but then i heard "samsara" and i was back in it. not once did i stop moving while parkway drive was on the stage, they were amazing. sounded just as good live as on the CD. the big roided out juiceheads in the pit kind of ruined that but overall the show was amazing.
Parkway Drive always brings on a good show. Winston, vocalist, was shocked at crowd's involvement of singing, crowd surfing, moshing, etc. His vocals were hard to hear at times; mic might have been cutting in and out. Otherwise, an amazing show altogether.
This concert was simply amazing. The energy they had on stage and how much they got into it with a smile on the whole time is amazing. Highly recommend seeing them to anyone and I will be at a concert on their next US tour.
The Parkway drive show at Clutch Cargos was absolutely amazing. Even though it was around 1000 degrees in the place it could have not went better.
rolled up to pontiac michigan to clutch cargo's and seen the band for the first time. Been a fan for a while now. Jam all 3 of their cd's straight thru. The band put on a great show, and also got some beach balls out for the crowd to punch around lol. It was funny watching the guitar players kicking and head butting the beach balls while they try and play the song. Had a great time and prolly will be seeing this band live again
This was an amazing concert and I'm so glad I got to go with my friends. It was a kick ass first concert, and I wish I wouldn't have had work the next day so I could've gone in the pit!!
