About

Losing two founding members is enough to make most bands throw in the towel. Not the case for Tennessee-based emo rockers Paramore, who emerged from the setback stronger than ever with 2013's chart-topping Paramore, their fourth -- and most successful -- album to date. While the new lineup seems to be exploring new genres (synthpop, gospel), their legion of loyal fans will be happy to find that the hard-hitting, emotional sound the band is known for is still there – along with singer Hayley Williams’ iconic flame-colored hair. From the frenetic aggression of pop-punk lead single "Now" to the bubblegum hopefulness of "Still Into You," Paramore the LP encapsulates the best of the band’s work and proves that changes aren’t always a bad thing. Back on the road as a three-piece in 2013, there’s never been a better time to grab tickets to see Paramore in concert -- the intense charisma of frontwoman Hayley Williams has earned the band a reputation as a consummate live act.

When Paramore formed in 2004, none of the members were over the age of 18 -- a fact that sheds some light on their popularity among tweens and Twilight fans (two of the band’s songs feature prominently on the Twilight soundtrack). The band’s 2005 debut All We Know Is Falling earned them a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as supporting slots with genre-mates Simple Plan. Bolstered by favorable reviews from British mags Kerrang! and NME, the band followed up in 2007 with platinum-certified Riot!, an album characterized by the bitter emotionalism of songs like “Misery Business” and “That’s What You Get.” After extensive touring in 2008 with fellow pop-punkers Jimmy Eat World and No Doubt, the band returned to the studio to record 2009’s Brand New Eyes, which, despite its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, was their last release under the original lineup.

In the wake of their near-breakup, remaining members Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis (bass), and Taylor Young (guitar) have found new freedom to experiment with the band’s sound, and given Williams’ stated influences (The Cure, Etta James), there’s a lot of territory to explore. Considering the No.1 debut of 2013’s Paramore and the glowing reviews for the bands stripped-down live setup, the new formula seems to be suiting them just fine.

Throughout their career, Paramore have drawn massive crowds of fans, packing venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Tabernacle to capacity.

Paramore is amazing. After seeing them three times, I would say this was their best show ever. Even though some people have the nerve to call them a "pop-rock" band, I think they perform harder and with more energy than any band I've seen, and I've been to a lot of concerts. And even though I was stuck in the bleachers because I did not know there were two types of tickets, it was still an awesome night.

my 3rd paramore show. the first time i saw them was when they were touring with jimmy eat world a few years ago, i saw them in albany, NY. the second time, i saw them in wallingford, and it was their last show of the final riot, which was awesome as well. THIS show, completely topped the two others. we drove 6 hours from CT just to see you guys ;) i don't even know how to explain it. paramore is just one of the best performing bands ever. the stage set up, the extremely responsive and dedicated crowd and the amount of us that were there, hayley's singing, josh's, jeremy's, zach's, and taylor's music were ALL stunning. i always recommend paramore shows to my friends if they're looking for a fun concert, because paramore is definitely one of the best. i love you guys, and i can't wait to see you in july!

Great show. Hayley was on fire and all over with energy. Band was tight with great guitars and drumming. Crushcrushcrush and Brick By Boring Brick were the highlights - both songs rocked out big time! I'd see them again in a heartbeat.

by Sapphiew on 5/1/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Paramore is the best band to see live! Hayley's voice is amazing and it sounds the same live as it does on the cd!!! I can't believe how amazing they are as a group! You guys MUST see them in concert!

  • Paramore was AWESOME!

by lmcc on 5/1/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Paramore was awesome. They played with such great energy and just rocked the entire show. Hayley let someone come up and sing with her at the end. Hayley also stopped the show to make sure security could get two idiot girls who were fighting out of the show. Seriously - what idiots! You go Hayley for letting them have it. I had such a great time and they really sound amazing live. Can't wait to see them again! Didn't get there in time to see FUN unfortunately, but Reliant k was great too.

  • FANTASTIC!

by BrittanyYvonne on 5/1/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was AH-MAZING! There's no other way to describe it. Not only are they all extremely talented, they put on a heart pounding, non-stop show . . . that is until some idiots in the pit started fighting. Hayley actually stopped in the middle of a song. "Are you guys actually fighting at a Paramore concert? It's all love here, that is mind boggling." LOVE her! She was great throughout the whole show. I brought tickets to the Honda Civic Tour the second I got home. You have to see them live...and do it often!

  • paramore was awesome!!!!!!

  • Paramore was amazing but the seats were not

by Jayyyy on 5/1/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

Paramore themselves were amazzzzing! They were great live and have such a good personality! They know how to get the crowd loud and involved in the concert! The concert was so entertaining and fun! However, the tickets we got felt like we got cheated out. When we ordered the tickets, it stated only one price, because it was general admission with standing room only. We waited online for 4 hours to get close to the stage, however when we got inside they told us it was g/a bleachers. The bleacers were so far away that we didn't need to wait online that long. The people who got to stand in the general admission sttanding area paid the same price I did for tickets, no one in the bleachers knew they were gooing to be sitting that far away, the tickets should be refunded.
