About

Losing two founding members is enough to make most bands throw in the towel. Not the case for Tennessee-based emo rockers Paramore, who emerged from the setback stronger than ever with 2013's chart-topping Paramore, their fourth -- and most successful -- album to date. While the new lineup seems to be exploring new genres (synthpop, gospel), their legion of loyal fans will be happy to find that the hard-hitting, emotional sound the band is known for is still there – along with singer Hayley Williams’ iconic flame-colored hair. From the frenetic aggression of pop-punk lead single "Now" to the bubblegum hopefulness of "Still Into You," Paramore the LP encapsulates the best of the band’s work and proves that changes aren’t always a bad thing. Back on the road as a three-piece in 2013, there’s never been a better time to grab tickets to see Paramore in concert -- the intense charisma of frontwoman Hayley Williams has earned the band a reputation as a consummate live act.

When Paramore formed in 2004, none of the members were over the age of 18 -- a fact that sheds some light on their popularity among tweens and Twilight fans (two of the band’s songs feature prominently on the Twilight soundtrack). The band’s 2005 debut All We Know Is Falling earned them a spot on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as supporting slots with genre-mates Simple Plan. Bolstered by favorable reviews from British mags Kerrang! and NME, the band followed up in 2007 with platinum-certified Riot!, an album characterized by the bitter emotionalism of songs like “Misery Business” and “That’s What You Get.” After extensive touring in 2008 with fellow pop-punkers Jimmy Eat World and No Doubt, the band returned to the studio to record 2009’s Brand New Eyes, which, despite its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, was their last release under the original lineup.

In the wake of their near-breakup, remaining members Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis (bass), and Taylor Young (guitar) have found new freedom to experiment with the band’s sound, and given Williams’ stated influences (The Cure, Etta James), there’s a lot of territory to explore. Considering the No.1 debut of 2013’s Paramore and the glowing reviews for the bands stripped-down live setup, the new formula seems to be suiting them just fine.

Throughout their career, Paramore have drawn massive crowds of fans, packing venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Tabernacle to capacity.

  • God Knows The World Doesn't Need Another Band

by jamielovesparamore on 5/4/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Paramore, Paramore, Paramore. My favorite band in the entire world. This was the thirs time I've seen them live, and let me just say; they seem to get better each time. They are such a great group of friends and their music amazes me. They brought back some old songs from their first album, and that was so amazing. I miss their old songs, but the new ones are good too. The crowd was singing so loud that Hayley Williams didn't have to stop and talk about how they could do better, she is so cute. Half way during the song "Turn It Off" a fight broke out in the croud, and Williams stopped the song and confronted the rude people. The crowd cheered her on. At the end, They brought up a lucky fan to sing along on the stage. It was a successful night.

  • It was amazing,

by Hayles on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the show, but I didn't like that some got to stand and others the bleachers, there was plenty of room left on the floor. all the same price, it should be our choice,

  • YOU GOTTA SEE IT

by Mandii1029 on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

From beginning to end the show is none stop energy and fun. The band and Especially Hayley sound flawless live. Hayley gets the whole audience involved with the show and shows the band is still completely down to earth.

  • Paramore was clearly born for this!!!

by Steverino80 on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

First I thought it was a very cool venue, having never been to Atlantic City before, I thought it was very awesome. Secondly, this sounds greedy, but I did get to meet 4 out of 5 members of the band in a Starbucks in the Taj Mahal and i got all their autographs, the only caveat is that I missed out on meeting Hayley to tell her (not that she or her bandmates needed it) good luck at the show. I thought the band was very nice though, I can't wait to see them over the summer on the Hond Civic Summer Tour! Paramore you guys rock, don't you ever almost hang it up again, you guys are just getting started and thats a friggin fact. Peace and love....par amore

  • Paramore Great.

by Stevehodgeeee on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Paramore is wonderful, i love them. The Only Problems were with the venue, it was very difficult to find the actual venue within the taj, however the associates at the taj were more then willing to help us. also during the last song of the night the drunk girl in front of us started smoking weed with her 2 boy friends. other then this the band Paramore rocked. Fun was okay, I didn't like them Reliant K Was Good. Paramore. OMG <3

by AndyMaler on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Im a single mom of a 13 years old teenager. I took my daughter and her friends to see this Paramore concert at the Taj Mahal. This was their second time seeing this band. The first time was at the PNC Arts Center with NoDoubt.. We had an amazing time. It was a friendly environment for people of all ages. They put up a wonderful concert and sang all the songs we like. Thank you guys. Keep up with the hard work! Andy

  • High-Energy show!

Great show, they played all my favorites and kept the energy way up all throughout the show!

  • Paramore was... AWESOME!

by KelliM on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The two opening bands weren't that great and I thought that the tickets I had purchased were General Admission but it turns out that we had to sit in the bleachers. The Taj Arena looks like a large high school gymnasium with bleachers and an area in the middle for real General Admission. Paramore was absolutely amazing. I've been to a lot of concerts (Linkin Park, Blink 182, Festivals, Warped Tour, etc) and of all the bands I've seen they've been the most involved with the audience and seemed like they were actually excited to perform and that they weren't just getting paid to do another show. Like I said, They were AWESOME!! I'd definitely see them again!

  • Paramore is so down to earth!!!

by Jess1110 on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was awesome!! I love when the artist/band will talk to the crowd like they know them. I have no doubt that if I ever ran into one of these band members, they would be cool as hell. There was a girl in the front of the crowd that puched a security guard and in the middle of the song, Hailey (the lead singer) stopped singing and she goes "Girl, why are you fighting at a Paramore concert?". It was hysterical!!! And at the end on the last song, which was Misery Business, she pulled this girl on stage who was holding up a sign that she wanted to sing with her. She let her sing the bridge of the song and the girl was having a blast, as I'm sure anyone would. The albums are amazing, but they do not do this band justice. They song incredible live and are unbelievable talented. One of the guy band members did a backflip over Hailey while holding his guitar. These guys put on an awesome show. I cannot wait to see them again next time they are in town. I love you Paramore!!!! You Rock!!

  • Paramore rocks AC!

by CuseFan48 on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 3rd time I've seen Paramore in the last 9 months. They just keep getting better with every performance. They reproduce their music live better than just about any band I've ever seen. Their live shows are amazing and Hayley has so much energy and interacts with the crowd better than any front man/woman I've seen. If you haven't seen Paramore, you are surely missing one of the best bands around.

  • Paramore was GREAT!

by Laurs1 on 5/3/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Seeing Paramore this Friday 4/30 in Atlantic City , was amazing. it was my first Paramore concert and I had to travel to AC to see them. They put on a very exciting show. The show goes by so quickly since the band keeps you going. It is a very fast passed and interactive show. I had a great time and may see them again soon at festival pier in Philly.

  • The Greatest

by TommyFromPhilly on 5/2/10Trump Taj Mahal - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Other than the 3 guys really excited to see Asking Alexandria the following day, this Paramore show, my third, was the greatest I've been too so far! The fact that the band stuck to the music versus the chatter, was what made the concert! Opening with Looking Up is what really got me excited! Concluding with Misery Business made my night! With a great mix between Riot!, All We Know Is Falling, and Brand New Eyes, the set list was a little more than EPIC! Every three or four songs, Hayley would do a little talking and interact with some fans. And when Hayley stopped the performance during Turn It Off, it made me love her even more! And during the final song, she brings a fan up on stage, who really wanted to help out with the singing! Epic is an understatement for this show. Finally hearing Brighter and Whoa live made my night! As well as Playing God! Although I've waiting fro Paramore to pay All I Wanted, so that was a bit upsetting! But all and all, the show kicked ass! Oh, I forgot, Relient K killing it, and fun. was, well, fun!
