Paquito D'rivera Tickets

Paquito D'Rivera was simply amazing. Blended jazz into classical themes seamlessly. All five musicians were superb, and the group was tight. Moreover, Paquito is an endearing and funny showman. I would give the music six stars out of five. Unfortunately, the seating at the show was poor. We had premium seats, but the seats were jammed in. I am not short, nor were the folks in front of me exceptionally tall, but it was difficult to see. I have been to dozens of shows at this venue. They use moveable folding chairs with cushions, not ideal but usually comfortable enough. The seats this time were packed in so tightly there was less legroom than on a Southwest Airlines flight. No space at all between the chairs. I have never encountered this before at this theater. I am thin, but it was almost impossible to pass between the folks in my row and the chairs in the row in front. I can only surmise that they were packing the floor so that they could sell more premium seats. After the show I apologized to the fellow behind me for sitting in his lap. Venue gets two stars, and that is generous.

Shelly and his trio performed as one when they were featured on several pieces and as a smooth and supportive backing for Paquito. Paquito is an extraordinary musician who is equally proficient on Sax and clarinet. He is also fun. He had the audience in the palm of his hand.

Spectacular! You can expect less from one of the great jazz players of all times. It is my fourth opportunity of seen Paquito and every time is better.

Paquito never fails to deliver. He is a strong contibutor to the Latin Jazz genre and is artful in his delivery of Jazz as a whole. I have seen him on several occassions and would come out to see him again if the opportunity presents itself.

Each muscian was sensational and Paquito's performance was the ultimate jazz experience. Thank you Belleayre Music Festival for making this performance possible.
