Payable on Death, otherwise known as P.O.D. has recently emerged from a brief hiatus with the much-anticipated release of a deluxe edition of hit album "Murdered Love." Included among the many remixed tracks are bonus singles such as "Burn It Down" and "Find A Way." The band does not plan to go on tour in the immediate future, as its members see maintaining their current levels of mental health as a major priority over selling tickets. However, should any of their hard-rocking, head-banging future concerts occur, the focus would likely be on a return to P.O.D.'s roots as a Christian nu-metal band.
P.O.D. has a long history as a force for shaking up the often complacent world of Christian music. The group first formed in the early 90s, when Wuv Bernardo and Marcos Curiel came together for frequent jam sessions. These original members were quickly joined by the equally talented Gabe Portillo and Sonny Sandoval. Given Sandoval's transition to Christianity in the aftermath of his mother's death, it came as little surprise when the band - previously dedicated to Metallica covers - began playing songs that were clearly religious in nature. Their early Christian rock successes include such hit albums as "Snuff The Punk" and "Brown" in the mid 90s, which were later followed by "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown" and "Satellite." More recently, the band released "Murdered Love," a hit album that reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200 in 2012. "A Murdered Love" tour has yet to take place, but, based on the recent release of "Murdered Love Deluxe," it could be a definite possibility in the near future.
Best show I’ve seen in a long time! The energy was amazing from all three bands!
The band was most gracious for the Meet and Greet, The Paramount was a great venue, and the concert brought the house down with energy!!
I loved the whole experience of that evening! They resparked that fire in me as if I was a teenager again!
Saw them in NYC this week. They played over 2 hours. They played the entire Satellite album thru and then played more after that. These guys are so nuanced; they go from heavy to melodic to punk to reggae; etc. Truly a great band; glad to see them back on tour. Would absolutely see them again.
P.O.D never ceases to entertain me. They always put on a good show, always engaging, no long breaks its all action , all good music!! Takes me back to my teen days every time I see them.
When you find yourself saying that name sounds familiar. It's because they are. Their songs have probably been part of your life since the late 90's or early 2000's through radio and cinema. From multi-platinum album sales with "Fundamental Elements of Southtown" and "Satellite", to tracks on The Matrix, Little Nicky, TMNT, And Here Comes the Boom, etc. Well, when they come live, they bring that lyrical mastery and rhythmic pulse pounding styling to your town, you'd better make sure you be there. You will never be disappointed. P.O.D. will always be on my list of all time greats.
P.O.D. meet and greet was worth it! The band was so nice, took pictures and did a q and a session with us. Cool merchandise too. The performance was amazing . The openers From Ashes To New did a great job as well.
I have loved p.o.d. ever since I was younger. There music has walked me down from many cliffs through my life. Seeing them live was just a spectacular experience. They do great work!!
POD killed it & the venue looks GREAT since the remodel
P.O.D. always brings a great show, and once again they did not disappoint. Energy and vibe were just awesome.
This was my third time seeing POD since last November. This was their last show and they’ve been on tour for months so I thought there was a chance they may be a bit tired or off..... NOPE!! There’s a reason this band is comprised of legends..... it may have been their smallest turn out of the tour but they came out and gave it absolutely everything they had which every person in the audience was aware of. The energy and effort they put out was both awesome and inspirational. I will be a forever friend.
Amazing 👌 they were good to their fans.... NONPOINT WAS THE BEST!! !!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable show as usual for Nonpoint and P.O.D.
The show got better and better as the night went on, so glad i decided to stay the whole night, 6 hours on your feet the whole time definitely hit me at the end of the night but it was still a great show
P.O.D. Brought the house down ! I’ve seen them 2 other times but at larger venues. To see them in a small club setting and be able to be up front and shake Sonny’s hand was an awesome experience ! Thanks for the experience guys
Everyone needs to see P.O.D. at least once such a great band, i see them everytime there in southern cal. The venue is one of the worse venues i been too. Whats the point of paying more for front row tables if you let all the people get in front of the tables and block everyones view. Def wont attend the canyon in montclaire doesnt matter who plays again.
Like always such a good venue Revoluution and POD amaizing !!!
This event was awesome pod and alien and farm bring back the memories
The venue was fine for it being a rock concert. Standing for so long was the only con. But POD WAS AMAZING!! So was alien ant farm
Fire from the gods did great and I loved alien ant farm & POD's set. Will definitely be seeing them again
