I’d never been to one of their shows before and I was blown away! A wonderfully entertaining and engaging show!!! I will be sure to catch them whenever they are in my area again. A must see great time!!
The show was amazing. They put so much energy into their show. I loved every moment. Especially when they popped upstanding right next to us in the middle of center section. Intense. Must see
We have seen them twice but had to travel to see them. Not complaining it was totally worth it but I really wish that they would come to El Paso TX. They put on an amazing show every time!! Love you OZO!!
The show was incredible, they always have such high energy and they always join the crowd at the end! The first time I saw these guys was in Mountain View, CA in 1999! They opened for Mana and Santana…also an amazing show!
This was my 3rd time seeing Ozomatli and it was an amazing time! These guys never fail to give an amazing show it always feels so personal and ends likes it's a party I love it!
Show was fantastic. They didn't seem to be promoting a new album so they played all their great old songs! Band members looked like they were having a good time on stage. Smiling and playing off each other. This is the fourth time I've seen Ozomatli and it's the best show I have seen yet.
Been seeing this band for years and they never disappoint!
Personal, Security all so very Professional and Courteous. Arriving at Venue Checkpoints with Security all went very smooth.
Super fun! Please come back!! So much talent and energy!!
All I know is Ozo please come back to Milwaukee again. More people need to Experience your joy and talents!
As soon as Ozomatli started their performance there was an obvious echo going on with the audio. They tried to play through it while they tried to fix the problem. At one point they performed without microphones. Thank goodness they're talented and entertaining but the trouble with the audio made it a less than spectacular show.
The Satr ratingis for the venue NOT the band. Ozomatli is awesome! The Rose, however, is very overpriced $15 for beer. The setup is awkward. Seating directly in front of the stage leaving very little room in that area. The dance floor is behind the tables. The mics went out for about 20 minutes then the sound system wasn't the best once it was back on. The Rose is definitely more concerned with selling you a table spot and overpriced beer than providing great show experience.
Ozo is one of those bands that ensures it’s audience is having a great time. We’ve been following them for two decades, and the quality of their shows is always top notch. This band has remained audience friendly and down to earth throughout their success, and they always put on a great show. This show was unfortunately shorter than normal, which is likely due to the venue’s mall location. This newer venue, The Canyon Montclair, is tricky to describe. It’s very nice inside, and also spacious, but there are restrictions about when to arrive and how much you have to spend that detract from the enjoyment. The food menu is like wedding entrees, with no appetizers or the kind of bar food you expect to eat at a live music event. It’s all fork & knife and cloth-napkin style. The service was very friendly and accommodating but the food was slow to come out and drinks also took too long. The “dinner theater” part of the experience doesn’t seem dialed in just yet.
I have been an Ozomatli fan since the 90’s. I still own CDs by the band and listen to them on Spotify. I was fortunate to see Ozomatli live back in the 90’s. It was an amazing experience back then. When I bought tickets, I hoped that I would be lucky enough to experience the same band I had seen before. Words cannot even describe what I experienced this past Friday night! Ozomatli was absolutely phenomenal! The same energy, incredible vocals, and music permeated The Canyon! Ozomatli’s high energy and stage presence is unbeatable! From the moment the first song started, I was up and dancing! I loved every moment of the event. The best part was at the end of the concert when Ozomatli joined the crowd on the dance floor! I can’t wait to attend another event by the band. Thank you so much!
the two opening acts went on w/o any issues.. However when Ozomatli came on stage it was apparent from the start the sound system was flawed. The instruments could be heard but the vocals could not. It was as if we were attending a jam session instead of a performance. The group itself tried as best they could to keep the crowd going until the issue was resolved nearly an hr after their appearance. I’ve msg’d the venue over the issue of that night but they hv failed to recognize or take blame for the snafu.
Ozomatli improvised and made the very best of the situation and I know it was completely out of their control. The venue on the other hand was horrible! Surprisingly the opening bands were quite good and the sound quality for each band but as for Ozomatli the headliner, as soon as they began the mics were echoing and too low. It appeared that there was one sole person working to try and fix the situation. The one person was visibly struggling to figure it out! Whether it was his lack of knowledge or lack of help the whole situation was quite upsetting. The band members were muscling through and improvising doing some acoustic sets all while trying to help the poor sound guy out! This was our first time at The Rose and we were actually looking forward to the ambiance. So much so that despite the cost of our front row seats ($237) we were required to buy dinner ($135....minimum of $29 per person) on top of that. Although apprehensive because of the mounting cost we decided to go thru with our purchase but we were beyond disappointed! We are huge Ozo fans and have seen them perform over the past 15 years or more multiple times but by far were most disappointed in this particular venue. We're still die hard Ozoheads but most definitely won't return to The Rose.
There is no better way to spend a Saturday night than to go with good friends to see Ozomatli. They are that perfect bend of seasoned musicians that have played together for 25 years, who still manage to sound young and play with unbridled exuberance. I have seen them twice before as the opening act for Los Lobos and this was the first time I saw them as a headliner where they could really stretch out and play. Just an absolute treat.
Great show from Ozomatli like always, and this were the second year @ The Canyon in Santa Clarita, this its a small venue so you get to see the show from every seat in the house very well or standing because with Ozomatli you are going to be dancing all night.
I had never heard of this band, but my nephew told me about it. I went due to Lonely Boys breaking up. I had a great time. I enjoyed their performance. It was packed and a lot of fun.
