  • Ameristar Casino November 2025 Show Review

by Steven D. Light on 11/10/25Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a band that has fascinated me for a half century. There have been over 30 members through the years and it could be argued that the current lineup is the best. The original members Randle Chowning, John Dillon, Steve Cash, Buddy Brayfiled, Michael “ Supe” Grande, and Larry Lee are OMD Royalty, to be sure much as the original cast of SNL is esteemed. The current band members, John Dillon, Supe Grande, Ruell Chappell, Nick Sibley, Kelly Brown, Ron Gremp, Bill Jones, Dave Painter, Molly Healey, and Jeremy Montgomery are all excellent musicians with John, Ruell, Nick, Dave, Supe, Jeremy, and Molly giving capable to outstanding vocal performances. John is the main lead vocalist and continues to deliver vocals for the songs he and others have written over the course of their careers. This band wrote and played their own songs almost exclusively throughout their long careers. And they continue to do so. The Ameristar Casino show was another outstanding performance by the band. From Nick Sibley’s driving harmonica riffs on Black Sky and If You Wanna Get Yo Heaven, to Molly’s fiddling and Dave Painter’s guitar duels on Backroads, to Bill Jones sax and tambourine, Kelly Brown’s riveting piano, Ron Gremp’s wonderful smiles and drumming, Ruell’s bongos and cowbell, Supe’s spot on bass lines, Jeremy’s versatile assistance on guitar and mandolin, and John Dillon’s and Nick rhythm guitar playing, this band delivers everything you’ve ever heard from them and more as they play the songs from their albums and CDs. Their story is fascinating and their songs still resonate with the audience as evidenced by the dancers and the futile efforts of security to rein them in on Chicken Train. The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a band that has celebrated their Ozarks roots in song and lifestyle as well as their fans have done but from all over the world. If Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show had been from the Ozarks, this is what you might have gotten. Now, with 53 plus years under their belt and the outstanding management of Dwight Glenn, they are only slowing down but not stopping. Catch them any chance you can and tell them Steven sent you. You’ll not regret it and you’ll be glad you did!

  • A great concert. Loved it

by Smokey on 11/10/25Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was great. A little loud, but very entertaining. Our center riser seats were perfect. We could see everything on the stage. Watch the crowd before us, we had a fantastic time.

  • Great venue and concert very pleased.

Great table and bar seats could see everything. I’m handicapped and had no issues getting in or out Otto seats.

First time at the Factory. What an awesome venue!!! Ozark Mountains Daredevils never fail to put on an amazing show! It was great to hear the new old songs along with the classics.!!

  • Great show at a fantastic venue

by Rocko on 10/23/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Sat in the front row of the lower balcony. Wet Willie and The Ozark Mountain Daredevils performing was close to the best shows by both bands than I can remember. While prices are extremely higher than when I saw them in the 70's, they were both worth every penny spent!

  • They rocked out! Something for everybody.

by Joe on 10/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Their tunes were varied and showed off everyone in the band. Frontmen were in close touch with the crowd and played off that excitement. I’ve seen ‘em before and I’ll see ‘em again!

  • Toe tapping fun

by Mickey S on 10/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

History of this is band awesome! Springfield MO start! Talent from every member. Instruments were prefect. The dueling Violin/fiddle vs Guitar in the final set was out of this world! Such talent. It's no wonder the band has been together for years. All ages in attendance loved the performance.

  • Blast from the past

by Ears for music on 10/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Both bands played flawlessly in a memorable concert. Thoroughly enjoyed being transformed to an era where live music consisted of talented musicians. Great Show!!! I’d recommend this concert for everybody.

  • Warm up band just Ok. OMD- good

by Karen and Dave on 10/22/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was great, we would return, it was so nice. The warm-up band really was not that good, and the daredevils had so much talking in between songs. It got quite boring. The songs that they played were good, but we could’ve done without the adlib in between every song. It was good to introduce the band but everything else could have been shortened!
