    Half time great

by bionicheart on 1/3/11Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

The game was exciting. The half time featuring the bands from both Florida and Penn State were good but the use of the bands and color guards from across the US was fantastic. The music was outstanding and the work of the dancers really added to the event.

    TV Timeouts were ridiculous

by ConnieGOPSU on 1/3/11Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

The first quarter lasted about an hour... too much time devoted to timeouts on stoppages of play. I know they are after the revenue, but for the fans actually at the game it sucked. I think the ticket prices and the TV timeouts should be linked--the more TV timeouts, the lower the ticket prices, and vice versa. It was overall one of the better bowl game contests.

    Great game... bad fans!

by JB162 on 1/3/11Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

The 2011 Outback Bowl was a terrific event, and the weather just happened to be spectacular. The Gator fans were out in their typical disgusting arrogance (including "boooing" their own team), and that was the only downside to the event. The game was very competitive, although very sloppy. The officiating was unfortunately very poor... for both sides. The game was extremely long, about four hours, for a college game because of the TV timeouts, which seemed to really breakup the game way too much. Parking at $25 per car seemed a bit pricey, but it was close and very easy to navigate in and out. The stadium has plenty of eating stops and restrooms close to each section of seating, which is extremely convenient. The stadium was very clean, and appeared well staffed. Overall a great afternoon of football.

by jiffy4 on 1/3/11Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

the stadium is a good venue, with not a bad seat in the house. parking could be a little closer. but it was easy to get in and out of. did not like all the reserved parking that was not being used.

Everything was wonderful. The only drawback for us was the sound system. We had a hard time understanding the speakers, refs, etc. We have been to this bowl 4 times and don't remember the acoustics ever being this bad. We took friends from DC with us and they mentioned it as well.

    OUTBACK BOWL WAS SPECTACULAR

by ICEMANEDK on 1/3/11Raymond James Stadium - Tampa

SPECIAL FORCES COMMANDOS PARACHUTING INTO THE STADIUM, A FLY OVER BY A US MILITARY TANKER PLANE, OUTSTANDING PRE-GAME AND POST GAME SHOWS, AND A FOOTBALL GAME THAT WAS EXCITING ALL THE WAY UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE MADE THIS EVENT SPECTACULAR. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I WENT TO THIS EVENT BUT IT WON'T BE THE LAST. I INTEND TO GO EVERY YEAR. GOT FAR MORE THAN MY TICKET PRICE IN ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

Great game for the fans, but hated to see JoePa lose however.

The refereeing was very poor. How could Penn State win when they were playing against 11 from Florida and 5 in pin strips?
