    Very crowded

    by Lex on 8/9/23

I’ve been to osheaga 6 times and this was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it. I enjoyed my time however the layout made it hard to get from one stage to the other and the crowds of people made it less enjoyable.

    Not safe

    by DMB on 8/9/23

I liked the artists, but this venue is super super conjested and there was 3 times where I was literally thinking I might die. Moving between the stages were squished with so many people, and everyone is agitated and agressive. Its not a safe environment at all, I'm surprised the organizers don't plan better for the crowds

    amazing people, amazing artists

    by eva on 8/9/23

i had a fantastic time, it was truly a fantastic experience. i got to meet hundreds of new people, see a handful of my favourite artists, and eat some super tasty food. unfortunately, i did pick up the flu the day after i had left osh but i don’t even care because the experience was worth it.

Air Pollution but food and billy were good

    by Smokysalmon on 8/9/23

I moved away many times... Couldn't breath....pollution on the place everywhere ..i think that was the worst time.. there should have non smoker sections or forbid Smoke. It's frustrating and unfair for people who don't smoke and dislike the scent of it. Billie was good as well as food.

    Great first festival experience

    by Kim on 8/8/23

I realized I’ve never really « done » a festival until Osheaga and what a great place to start: nonstop music to discover, glorious setting by the water, smooth operations with armies if staff cleaning washrooms and emptying garbage. Food was plentiful and fairly priced. Downsides were the way patrons behave during acts they aren’t there for: chattering loudly and disrespecting the artists and their fans. Also the standard beverage option was really multinational commercial; luckily that same firm acquired a local microbrewery awhile back and so it was possible to get a decent pint but please Osheaga, publish an online guide to food and drink venues so we can plan ahead where we go and what we get!

One of the best day of my life (so far)

    by Alejandro A on 8/8/23

This was my first experience on Osheaga festival. I have to really congratulate to all the organization cus in general was very very good. I assisted Saturday, the main artist was Billie Eilish one of my favorite singer. She was fantastic, her energy, her show and her charisma, elevated her to my most favorite artist so far. The logistics was really impressive so many artist presenting their show at the same time in different stages deserve a big recognition. However, because the magnitude of this kind of event smalls details can happens. For example the distribution of WC should have a better installation cus a certain point was water all around all that area and become a kind of mess there. I think the event should encourage people about try to leave the place more clean and about the use of drugs. At the of the event I could propose maybe a special bus charter to bring back people to Montreal cus maybe 60000 people taking the subway was kind of hard. However, the logistics of everybody whom works for keep the order was amazing. Very proud of them and their great job! About the main stages were wow! The technology used on the screen with the HD resolution was Wow! The use of mapping on the projections was WOW! And the illumination and sound were incredible. If I were worked for their I should propose a mechanism that unites the two main stages and becoming on one. But maybe in the future somebody could imagine that. But as it was, was fantastic. 100/100 for all the organization and thank you so much for bring us so fantastic and amazing show. Definitely one of the most special nights of my life (so far).

    Joyful crowded well organized

    by Tinker on 8/8/23

Getting into the festival went very fast this year was well organized. The lack of shade was still a recurring problem. Not having access to the forest like last year inconvenient. Having to cross both bridges to get to the green scene was a very big pain. On Sunday it was practically impossible to get through back to main stage. The seating areas we too limited. It would be appreciated too if there were more non alcoholic beverages offered for everyone. Other then that the artists were great food was great too.

    Crowded

    by Alex on 8/8/23

The event itself was the same as every year but it sort of felt like there was way more people. My friend and I got stuck at the main stage half way through the day where everyone was trying to make their way out but there was no where to go to the point that we had to climb over a barricade to get out. A lot of people started to panic. There was no security to direct people and it really felt like a free for all.

    The best organized festival ever

    by Diana on 8/8/23

Very impressed with the organization and delivery of this festival. Everyone knew what to expect, the layout was great, acts were diverse and amazing, sound was perfect, no waiting between acts - one flowed seamlessly into the next, and gold was worth it

    A night to remember!

    by CC on 8/8/23

Sure there was a lot of people (close to 30,000 people I think) but there were more than enough vendors for everyone. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job at keeping the area clean. All the activities and freebies were enjoyable. Definitely will be back for more next year!

    Overcrowded and bad smell

    by bdd on 8/8/23

Worst Osheaga experience so far. Shows lacked scenography, site was way overcrowded to a point where it felt unsafe. Smelled bad around the site. Needs at least another stage or less capacity for it to be enjoyable.

great artists, poor sound acoustics, too crowded

    by ld on 8/7/23

Have been to this festival many times, it is going downhill. It is now too crowded, the sound acoustics have gone down and you have to stand in very specific spots to get semi decent sound. They bring in amazing artists but the festival itself is not what it used to be.

    First time

    by Eve on 8/7/23

Our first time at Osheaga and loved it! Great artists, great sound, happy people everywhere. My only criticism is that there were not enough. bars and not enough staff operating them.

A MUST - magical, elevating and impressive

    by Gabriel G on 8/7/23

A magical moment Site : Beautiful site and views, food truck and MOSTLY WATER ACCESSIBLE !!!!! SO GREAT. Despite the number of people, you can still find places to rest/chill/relax. Some places were badly muddy (green stage) - should be dealt with next years. Bathroom are mess - not enought or simply doesnt respond to the need. Music performences : simply extraordinary and huge inventary (different types for every style and taste). All the performers were generous and awesome, for my point of views. People : beautiful, looking nice and mostly good vibes people. Some trouble makers like anywhere, still mostly good vibes people. Security : i feel there could be more security on sight concidering the number of people. Bottom line, incredible experience that id like to live every year, and hoping for everyone to live at least once in a lifetime. Thank you Osheage, the artist and everyone that made it happened. really.
